  1. Funny cuz i've read a lot about how darkness(tank) it's not worth it as a assassin. I might as well try it out.
  2. +1 Tenho um personagem na republica e estava procurando justamente outros jogadores brasileiros. Vou mandar mensagem privada com meu nick.
  3. the only thing i miss and don't like about the empire it's the lack of aliens. What i wouldn't do to partner a wookie with my Assassinn
  4. at launch, it shouldn't never come to be republic as the good ones, and the empire as the bads. They should have made two distincts factions who people could rely on both, with their own pros and cons. Just is like the Alliance vs Horde conflict in World of Warcraft. Instead what we have it's simply antagonists vs protagonists. Bioware is now trying to fix that and 'appease' the vilanism on the empire side and turning the republic into more 'reckless' and showing some level of incompetence.
  5. i dont think that pass everything it's really the big issue with shadow. The problem with that class it's that is currently overlooked and nerfed by the devs. It still viable, but you can have much more fun, be much more efficient, and have to worry much less with the difficulty that is playing as a shadow right now in order to be 'decent' pvp or pve. That being said, go for guardian.
  6. in my case, all my characters are non-sensitives. I'm willing to make a new jedi or sith for the first time. But i'm conflicted about making a juggernaut\guardian or shadow\assassin. I'm trying to decide based on what ppl say. With the shadow\assasin, as far as i know, you must be a average to good player, and still you wouldn't input a big treat to other classes (assuming that those players have the same level as you). But i hope i'm wrong...
  7. on that note, i would like to ask a question about this jedi's moral code. How jedi treats poverty? i don't think they necessarily ignore beggars, but i wonder if he would try to help them all when he can. I've once read that the jedi, although try to protect the inoscente, they do not involve in the curse of things, therefore, they will not try to aid a poor person unless that person is really starving. It's that true?
  8. how about difficulty? i've heard assassin it's a hell more difficult to play. Dps or tank...
  9. i get the idea, but imho, this event with Han and Palpatine don't count. I'm talking about two characters using everything they got, prep time is allowed. It's in those situasions that i like to compare with the many batman's clashes against superman on the comics. But you are right, it's not solo content, which means that no single person, whatever title he\she have, couldn't do it alone. Your comparison with Luke facing the empire makes a great sense to me, now i understand.
  10. woah! that's really cool. Graaats! i wonder how it looks on a shadow
  11. theories aside. Do you guys thinks that this arc's future will have something that fits the non-force users, lore wise, in the story itself? i mean, i'm sure a skilled bounty hunter can kill a powerfull jedi or sith, but what we have now its godlike enemies and powers, dread masters, entities, emperors and so on. I don't know much about the EU,but i dont remember any non-sensitive who have beat this kind of odds.
  12. Oh, no. Please don't go. My life won't be the same..... (interesting how there are many english teachers in the foruns. You guys must feel so proud.)
  13. Hi! my question is simple: I'm planing to start a republic trooper this weekend. The thing is, i never played in the republic before. I would like to know if playing as a alien trooper (zabrak or mirialan) i would be treated different in some dialogues as is in the empire classes. thank you.
  14. Thank you! And thank you to Mr. Ryat too. It was clarifying. The truth is that i'm looking for some class storyline to be some kind of anti-hero. Even rolled one SW LS and one SIn DS.I still didn't reach what i'm aiming for. It seems that trooper or JK DS are the most close i can get. Don't know yet. But don't worry about spoilers, i don't care too mutch about that. Since i have little time to play, i actually prefer to know the story over regret it later.
  15. i understand that you are trying to help, and i thank you for that. I'm not really a expert in the SW lore, but i was talking about not the concept of the jedi itself, but the jedi personality. For exemple, there's a big difference between the personalities of qui-gon and yoda. Both are jedi, but have different way of responses and ways of acting and thinking.
  16. Hello folks! I'm here for a simply, and probably, already asked question. The reason why i'm creating this thread its because there are controversies of some people, and i decided trying to settle once for all this in order to create (or not) my own JK. My question at first is simple: How is the overall in the JK storyline decisions, character's personalities and moral choices? Let me be more clear, when i was playing as a consular i couldn't get over Taris because i was hating the consular vibe of being some kind of priest in 9 of 10 dialogue options, saying all about the force, "trust in the force", "that happens because there is one conection with the force", that kind of stuff. And the moral (LS\DS) choices were obvious, save people, good, kill people, bad (without mention, the fact that is totally non-sense rolling DS consular, IMHO). There was no dilema or different interpretation, just obvious choices maded by one priest. I understood that was the consular way, then i decided to go for Sith inquisitor instead. But how about the JK? There is the same cheesiness of consular or it's one different kind of jedi on the dialogues and storyline? you know, more fun and serious and not SO religious, maybe like qui-gon or obi-wan. And the moral choices? still obvious? or kind of "kill...one assassin or terrorist to gain LS points" ? Thank you for your time. I'm really sorry for the poorly grammar, i've done my best. English it's not my native language.
  17. Great work. Starting my shadow now and this forum definitely. Im just wondering how to handler the force bar when u choose the balance build. I was playing with sorcerer madness (balance mirror) and sometimes i even run out of mana...ops, i mean force point, and the sorc has 500 points. I have no clue how this can work with 100 of the shadow. Even so, by ur videos i see that u give preference for using that tree. I was personaly thinking that i may up leveling as kineck then maybe trade tree.
  18. are you guys complaining about SIN robes? really? no offense, but try to play as one consular. It's a blessing that we have adaptive gear!
  19. exactly! if some people try a little bit to take the "star wars fan" off the topic and analyse the game as one MMO, and especially when we compare to other games like guild wars 2 (THAT HAVE NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE), you would see that a large number of customization choices are the LEAST they could do. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy SWTOR a lot, i'm just trying to give my honest opinion.
  20. until this problem is solved, i will keep playing WoW. Not the best, far away from perfect, but seems less boring. And keep in mind, that this month is the first one that i have ever played World of warcraft...my first time in the game, and still, more fun than ToR.
  21. Look, it's kind of boring if you split between, making a character from the "helpful" or the chaotic evil side. It is obvious that the Empire would not last, because, if by chance, the republic was destroyed and all jedi killed, the Sith were going to kill civilians and to each other. I prefer the prospect of faction like in other MMO, where the Alliance and Horde are just faction with two opposing ideals and not just be a hero and the other villains. An Empire describes as Malgus going to give the perfect balance between the two sides, and would give more "freedom" of the player chooses.
