  1. Force speed should not be reverted back.

You now have a 30m leap on a 30s CD, stealth, force speed, phasewalk, movement bonuses on your abilities and 30m mezz or root(depending on spec). It is nigh on impossible to escape a good assassin in pvp. The 30s CD on speed is justified.

If anything the 30m mezz needs to be reverted back to melee range only as it was only introduced to help with kiting.

    Scoundrels Tele is on a 45s CD, and they don,t have a 30m root/mezz.

  2. Here are some of the weak arguments I see.

Certain classes are OP - if people can't agree that something is OP, then it probably has to do with what class you play. I can't believe the number of people I see complaining about bubble stun still, when I wouldn't even spec into it.

Of course people won't agree on what is OP. Smash was never OP to the smashers, everyone else was just bad apparently. . Operative healing has never op in 2.x to the operative healers. and so on.

The difference between certain classes is huge. and it is most evident in sorc/sage healers vs commando/merc healers.

Sorcs/sage healers are now best in three key areas of healing; burst, survivability and mobility. Where as merc/commando have awful survivability, pathetic mobility and their burst depends on being left alone, which won't ever happen since a) your a healer and b) its pvp.

Role balance is needed - Maybe if you quintuple the population. Regs are just meant to be fun, quick matches, not some 20 minute queue waiting for optimal compositions. If you wanted competitive 8v8, maybe you should have played it when it was around so it wasn't removed.

Yes they are meant to be FUN. It is fun to be whacking away against 3 or 4 healers the match, never killing anything, and watch people just heal to full in seconds? No. When i pvp i expect things to die. Not enter a mindless healfest. I have to wait 20 mins + for a pop atm anyway, especially as the evening gets on as people just give up queuing. Some sort of matchmaking system would have made pvp more healthy, but its too late now.

"competitive" 8v8 was a joke at the start thanks to how huge the gear gap was between factions. After that the damage was done, among guilds never wanting to queue up against another competent guild in case they lost. No solo pugs to blame. Its why 4 v 4 is dead on my server.

All classes should be equal - It's a nice idea, but not going to happen. There will always be a best option no matter how hard you try to balance 24 specs. And players will gravitate to the most powerful one on their own. I'm sorry that your preferred class isn't the best, but you can choose to play it because it's fun or you can play what's strong. The same way it works in any PvP game.

Yes, classes can't and shouldn't be equal, but they should excel in different areas and/or be on at least the same level playing field. For example see my first paragraph.

Another example is how stealth are becoming less and less glass cannons (as they use to be and should still be), or how range classes are becoming more mobile than melee.

  3. Do you gain anything from regs? Do you get rating? Do you get the ranked tokens for the rewards? Do you lose anything when you lose? Nope, win or lose you get your comms, you get your credits, you get your xp. There's no rating loss, there's no risk, its just another match to play. Taking that format seriously is laughable.

No, we don't get a little pixel number that tells us how lucky we are and how we roll a FOTM class. And no we don't get re-skinned cartel items or titles, or items that will soon be re-skinned.

Taking anything seriously in a game is laughable. Some things more than some.

Balancing the most played type of pvp seems like a fair request.

The fact you think people should take Yolo queue seriously is rather funny. Current ranked in game is a joke.

  4. Its regs, who cares?

This argument always makes me chuckle.

What's make ranked matter so much? The fact you get a shiny little number that has very little to do with skill, but rather what FOTY class you play and how lucky you are with your groups?

Solo ranked (and group ranked to some extent) is a complete joke and is not THE pvp to do. It's a pointless TDM that has the worst imbalance.

"Regs" or warzones is the most played pvp game mode, and so should be balanced properly. Balancing around arenas is what has contributed to the huge balancing issues.

Solo ranked should be removed from game personally. Its just a toxic pool of elitism and egomaniacs who think managing to get to T1 and putting it in their sig gives them some right to talk to people how they want and do what they want.

  5. the class doesn't need a Nerf, just one passive ability in concealment needs a rework. Either keep immunity to stuns but take damage either normally or at a % reduction (50% max) or keep dmg resistant and remove stun resists
  6. R.I.P SWTOR PvP.

These changes are ludicrous. Buffing the already powerful whilst shafting the already underpowered.

Sorcs don't need phasewalk, they don't need bubble on the move. They need a serious tone down on all their healing abilities, and utilities need a huge rework, as currently a Sorc is spoiled for choice in their utilities.

This patch will either make or break the game, there will be no in between with this patch, and I know which is more likely.

People are fed up with the same specs completely dominating,

  7. Unsubbed too.

    PvP is about people dying.

    No one is dying currently.

If is not 3-4 healers a match, its a single sorc healer holding off 3-4 of your team, if its not that is 4-5 tanks and healers.

PvP should be about killing people, not about who caps an objective first and turtles the whole match.

The fact that a dps class can outheal another dps is retarded.

and the cherry on the cake is that the leaked changes are actually happening.

lol good luck, have fun and enjoy those 0 kills, sorc versus sage teleporting god bubble matches, not gonna miss it one bit.

  8. I think that is why they premake so much. On Progenitor I keep meeting 100% unkillable, almost damage/stun/cc/push immune reps over and over. Best geared players possible, best skill users, or skill spammers, then they just enter normal PvP because - and this is what I think - they are AFRAID of the RISK of losing. Either way, it pretty much prevents any opponents, pug or premade, from winning if it is not arranged properly in advance.

But I kinda understand it somewhat. Getting full ranked gear takes time, and if they did a lot of ranked and died almost all the time, they kinda want to push their pain onto all normal PvPers, literally... how do I say this without coming off as super-racistic or fatally offensive? ... literally nuking the fridge will do for now.

But it does not really premaking ranked teams for regular PvP just for the mindless and stupid-grown lols or fatness or [FILL IN YOUR OWN PUNCLINE HERE] lols of it.

Like many say in this thread, it completely ruins and outright destroys PvP for normal pvpers, or PvPers not skilled enough to have a chance to even lose properly. Like when a premade literally chases your whole normal team across whatever WZ you're in and they don't even defend their objectives, they just nuke you in seconds then completely murder the next one. Sure, THEY probably laugh so hard over their brain-deprived half-human skills so much that they end up HOSPITALIZED, but that is just plain mean, stupid and outright ugly.

If premaking for regular PvP wasn't possible, know a lot of people would quit because they could no longer guarantee a yawnable win while deleting the entire opposing team - the Reps on Progenitor pretty much RELY on their premades to win. Without it, it is mostly 50/50 win for either team no matter the side, but Repside honestly ABUSES it. Had there been a limit to how much premade a player or a faction could do, Reps would be locked out by now, permanently. THAT is how pathetically bad it's become.

I know this will NEVER be fixed by BioWare, and frankly, I kinda don't want it to be fixed, but at the same time I want it too. I've sadly ended up LAUGHING MY A HOLE OFF more and more, since there is almost nothing I can do except run in to the premades and die within... oh, say 1-3 seconds, unless they permanently stun me watching my resolve bar being full but having no relevant effect. Its so pathetic the way they do it I laugh at it, and at myself dying thinking "Why do I even consider trying against this terrible joke of a team?" Sure, I am quite sure good teamwork is being done by them too, but still, does not excuse LIVING on premades just for the sake of erasing fun out of a game aspect. Bet they'd rage and try to get me banned if I could import mini nukes from Fallout and drop them endlessly on their spawn so they could never leave. That would be just as bad as them, if not worse, but if I did that just once, I'd regret it after most likely.

I guess I have a 'redundant, loser, pathetic, idiotic, SHOULD BE KILLED IN REAL LIFE FOR IT'- sense of fair play. At least a good chance of winning should be given... like 4-8 person premades should have a -% debuff to even it out. Like health and main stats recuded by 10% alone would make a big difference. They'd be forced to play carefully and would render then unable to steamroll anything in sight. I am surprised even the in-game warzones themselves have not been damaged by glitched walls and broken textures yet! Joking there guys, but if it was possible, it would've rendered every WZ unwalkable by now!

Thats what I have to say of the horrible joke that is premade abuse for PvP deletion of any opposition. Repside feels a lot worse than Impside right now! And Impside is supposed to be bad? REPS ARE THE BAD ONES in this case! At least on Prog. But any premade abusers should have the proper penalty attached to them! Or, pug groups should get a 10-20% boost to all their stats, I dunno. Vote on how you guys want to see it evened out.

    DanRagr47 signing off.

EDIT: I guess all this is 100% irrelevant when it comes to PvP servers, there I think it is supposed to be filled with steamroll teams nuking everything in sight. and should remain that way as well as far as I know, I don't play PvP that much, otherwise I'd not be on an RP server now, would I?

There are far more imp premades on Prog, than rep. And always have been.

Imps have always dominated on prog.

And whenever a hardcore pvp guild popped up on rep side, they all just queue dodged each other and continued farming pugs.

Even a "ranked PUG initiative" a year or two ago (which goal was to queue rep PUGs against each other so rep players could gear to stand a chance against the huge gear cap between reps and imps), was only destroyed by imps logging on rep alts, completely destroying the purpose of the whole thing.

  9. "Pure" dps classes do just fine and they should not be doing more overall damage than the dps specs of other classes.

    Your "logic" astounds me.

So a class who purely deals damage should not be doing better damage than dps specs that can also off-heal and "off-tank"?

in which case why go a pure damage spec, if you could do as much damage on a dps who can also off heal and keep himself and teammates "topped up"?

Or why bother when you can go to a dps class with tanking capabilities? Less squishy and more medals.

Pure damage dealing specs SHOULD do more damage, its the whole point of those said classes.

Part of the reason pvp is so f*****d up is coz we have classes that can do way more damage with the extra utility of off-heals/off-tanking.

  10. When a DEFENDING team in voidstar comes and farms my team at the re-spawn from the get go, I will leave that match.

Got better things to do with my time than have my frustration and misery be the source of some idiots enjoyment and ego boosting entertainment.

Don't like it? Find me someone who likes repeatedly clicking "Respawn".

  11. They didn't.

What should have happened was bursts damage should have been slightly nerfed as it's way out of control.

Now, warzones consist of sorc healer(s) keeping entire teams afloat.

The amount of warzones this week I've played were no enemies has died is ridiculous.

If you haven't got a sorc healer now adays its a lost. Tried healing on both my scoundrel and commando and you just cant compete . The burst it way too high and only sorc healer can heal through it.

    Completely ridiculous

  12. All i get from these threads is that the premaders don't want to be put against other premades in case they get farmed, but think its fine for them to farm players who arent grouped up.

One person's enjoyment shouldn't come from anothers frustration and misery.

  13. IMO Guard is too strong. I'd love to see guard disappear entirely and let tanks rely solely on taunts, but that's just my opinion.

Then whats the point of having a tank at all? DPS can taunt so why waste a player slot on someone who does less damage and can taunt just as well as a dps.

  14. Kids these days:rolleyes:

Quoting me and shoving "Kids these days" does not invalidate my arguments, merely makes you look immature and shows you cannot come up with a reasonable and constructive counter argument.

But srsly, why would anyone promote solo pvp experience in an MMO?

How is 8 vs 8 random people PvPing a solo experience?

I am playing with other people, against other people.

I think solo and group aren't really the correct words to describe how one queues.

Solo queue does not mean I queue to solo pvp, I.E Fight against no one? Coz that's how you make it seem, correct me if i am wrong.

    I don't want a "solo experience", I want a balanced, fair experience.

I "solo" queue coz my guild died over a year ago, I don't play too often and a lot of people I sometimes group up with are usually offline. When I do PUG queue I want to be put against others who have also PUG queued.

When I group up, I want to be put against other groups so it is COMPETITIVE, not a mindless face roll gank at the spawn.

The argument "Just get friends and group up" is completely ironic and that is suggesting a group vs group environment which people are striving for.

do i blame players that refuse to improve and keep queuing in pve gear and with no idea about their class? yes .

Please explain how a player who is new to pvp, and has not acquired any pvp gear due to this, is to learn pvp when constantly put against premades and often farmed, in an environment where they don't get chance to even experiment how their class works in pvp, nor how pvp actually works.

Lowbie wzs? Sure, but that still is not 60 pvp.

  15. Yes this an mmo, which means there is a huge diversity in players, meaning there should be a diversity on queuing options.

The fact its an mmo has nothing to do with how I should queue. Whether its solo or group.

I solo queue knowing I'm going to play with and against 15 people.

Mmo does not mean group in the slightest.

I still play with other people if I solo so your argument is void.

    EDIT:

When I queue solo I expect to be playing against people doing the same. Not a group with a considerable amount of advantages, whether their "just friends" or hard-core

  16. Simple solution is to create two queues at 60.

The solo/pug/beginner queue. No groups allowed.

The "group" queue where groups can queue, as well as solo players who enter at their own risk.

Certain valor level should be a requirement (40 or so).

This way new and solo players get a more balanced environment, premades get a more competitive environment.

As to that stupid friend argument. Would you have been "friends" with them if they were bad at pvp, or didn't pvp even?

  17. In arenas and objectives warzones? FFS, just target someone else. I'd be more worried about the PT globaling you than the op that's rolling around and healing himself constantly.

Gotta be the lamest excuse ever. "Just target someone else".

In ranked, fair enough to an extent. But objective based PvP?

Huttball. Operative grabs ball and trollrolls to the line, I'm just suppose to target someone else whilst this player just gets to the line, taking no dmg (even from traps) being completely immune to any kind of control? but hey, that powertech over there sure looks juicy!

Voidstar, your team has killed all but 1-2 of the team, rest are in in spawn. There is 1-2 operatives trollrolling aorund, interrupting, or maybe just one whilst a group of your teammates is bursting down that last sorc and another caps. Hey, i'll just target someone else whilst that operative interrupts that guy and completely stalls our entire team.

Novare coast, 3 operatives at at mid against your team, interrupting any attempt to cap the node and avoiding all damage, whilst the rest of the enemy team is rushing your off-node. Hey, I'll just target someone else!

Civil war, a single operative is stopping two of your guys capping the side turret, there is currently a stalemate at mid, the enemy have already got theirs. But hey, I'll just target someone else whilst they trollroll around, healing up and stopping us advancing in the warzone.

Do I even need to go into AHG?
