  1. Twice in a row now i've been disconnected randomly when inside a warzone. My internet is fine and no disconnect/signal strength issues there.

    I'll get a random lag spike or two and then just being booted to the server screen and then able to log straight back in. Getting quite tiresome being kicked out the warzones and losing out for the dailies and weeklies.

    It's been a few years and a pandemic to boot, but we're back!

    The Custodian Sect (Previous Known as The Phoenix Unit) is an old guild from Lord Calypho Server. We're looking for enthusiastic players to help shape and create this guild into a lasting community. Focusing on RP-PvE-PvP and have a chill & fun outlook.

    Our hope is to create a small to medium social guild with a  close knit and friendly atmosphere of around 10-25 people.
    We hope to deliver on a non stressful and chill environment for everyone, no matter their experience, to do all sorts of activities. From Operations to Warzones, to Uprisings and World bosses!

    After all this is a game and we all want to have fun. So if we die 20 times in the attempt of killing a boss, so be it. We're here to create memories and have a good time.

    We have a SH furnished out for RP & a guild ship, and our adventures will take us all over the galaxy on all the different planets and locations the game offers.

    We participate in Conquest and will pursue our goal each week though we will not go maniac trying to top the leader boards.

    Our officers are old Veteran players of the game with years of experience so we are happy to help where we can!

    The IC Bit

    The Custodian Sect was formed a few years after the dissolution of the Phoenix Unit. Whilst the Unit was focused on specialized strikes into enemy territory, the Sect was formed under the notion that certain items and technology should be safe guarded and hidden for the greater good. The Custodian Sect as put aside their allegiances and roles in the galactic conflict, preferring the remain some what neutral. We focus on finding, preserving & protecting valuable/dangerous technology or artifacts from those that would seek to destroy or abuse them. Some things are better left hidden and forgotten.

  3. I don't think people truly understand the problem here. Seems like most people misunderstand being a solo pvper.

     

    As a player who queues mostly solo for pvp, I dont get this "it's a mmo" argument. When I queue and enter a warzone, I am ready to play with others, and work together in that team of 8 players. It's not about playing solo or expecting a single player experience.

     

    It's like most of you premaders think people who queue solo dont want to play with anyone. In fact the opposite is true. If someone clicks that queue button then they are setting themselves to be put with 7 other random people. Key word being random. I accept who can end up with bad players but so can the other team and that's fine.

     

    But what I think is ******** is that 4 people can group up and join the same queue and stack it their favour so much. So they have ensured 4/8 of their team are who they want them to be. Which them imbalances teams that are formed. When I do actually group up and queue I want and expect to be put against another group. Not 8 individual players.

     

    Balanced teams should be more of a priority in pvp Imo. And if it had been from the start perhaps the pvp population would be healthier now.

     

    They should have implemented separate queues from launch. But now with the population we currently have... pvp will continue to dwindle.

  4. Well my opinion is that it’s a stupid idea and will dilute an already shrinking part of the player base

     

    Oh and having things continue as they are wont?

     

    Me and alot of my old guildies use to pvp every day since launch. Since 5.0 we cant be arsed with stepping into a warzone to get farmed by l33t premades, or ending up with the premades and having a boring & "easy" win. Where the hell is the fun in destroying people who have no chance.

     

    I've probably done about 5 matches in the last week and it's probably enough for me now till after new year. Pvp is just not fun. Whether you are on the winning or losing team.

     

    I miss the days of intense struggles at mid in civil war between even teams. Or the days when no one could cap the south bunker in novare coast coz both teams were too equally matched and observant. Not this lopsided crap.

  5. Something I came across in a match today is a lightning Sorc was still hitting me with bolts while I was behind LoS. They had no line of sight what so ever and it wasn’t just a second or two that could be explained by lag. It was chained abilities, one after another for about 4-6 seconds.

     

    Now I can’t do that on my Sorc. Is there some new tactical or set bonus that lets this happen? What am I missing because hiding under stairs and getting shot through the floor and walls is very game breaking. I may as well not los and just face tank them on my Merc.

     

    On a side note and I don’t know if it’s related or not. But I came across a Merc on my team today promoting his hacking in the match. I didn’t pay much attention because I was busy trying to defend a door 1v3. But he was taunting the other team badly and trolling them.

    In a later match I saw a guy on an operative (same guild name, maybe same player) who teleported from the tunnel steps in civil war to mid to get away from me. It was like operatives were also given the sniper phase walk.

    Both times I tried to copy his name, but it was full or Alt key letters and it was hard to work out,

     

    Sounds like it could be one of the tacticals. I'm pretty sure there is one that makes certain abilities leave a shocking DOT thing. May be wrong.

     

    In regards to the operatives. I can confirm there is an exploit being used where it flies them across the map. I'm not sure in the details and dont really want to share what I saw incase others start looking into it and using it. But i saw it being used over the weekend.

  6. You are missing the point.

     

    Not sure how many times I have to say it.

     

    1. If you don’t have 100-150% strong hold boost, it’s much harder

    2. If you don’t have the guild boosts, it’s much harder

    3. If you don’t craft, it’s much harder

    4. If you don’t run flash points, it’s much harder

    5. If you don’t pvp or pvp doesn’t pop during your playing time or because lowbies doesn’t pop, it’s much harder.

     

    Basically if you only like to play casual heroics, story and do rampages / loyalist sweeps, you are crap out if luck in this conquest because there is a significant lack of activities.

     

    And if you add 1 & 2 together, the struggle is harder.

     

    And before some smarty pants says, you should have gotten 150% SH bonus by now or that it’s easy to do.

    1. The game has massive credit sinks draining a lot of people’s credits. Dumping 20-30 mill into stronghold is not exactly the top of everyone’s list.

    2. The game doesn’t reward enough credits anymore from just playing casually and have no supplemental income

    3. New players aren’t going to have the funds for months to buy SHs and open them all up. And returning players are unlikely to have enough credits if they haven’t already purchased all the stronghold stuff

    4. If you’ve never had enough credits to open all the SH bonus, you are probably never going to have them now because points 1 & 2.

     

    People need to understand that not everyone plays the same or is in a position to do so.

     

    I guess the majority don’t give a crap about their fellow players. As long as it doesn’t affect them and they can lord over those less fortunate, who cares. So let’s just rub it in and make them feel less likely to want to even try and do conquest or worse, decide to leave this significantly depleted population of a game,

     

    No one is asking anyone here who finds it easy to change anything in the way they play. None of the changes that have been suggested or asked for will impact any of you already finding things to your liking.

    Why do you all need to make it a situation of “haves” and “have not’s”.

     

    I honestly do not understand the resistance from some people to allow other players to enjoy conquest too. It will have no effect, absolutely ZERO impact on your own conquest except maybe you can get more Alts done.

    Nothing suggested will take anything from you and it’s more likely to actually give you more.

     

    So what’s the deal? What’s the beef with us. Do you just want to feel all superior or are you just trolling to piss us off.... cause I can tell you, it’s working. I’ve had a few PMs from people who don’t post and they’ve said they are ready to quit the game over this conquest nonsense.

     

    1. My guild stronghold is only 30% complete 😋

    2. My guild level is only 6 so not much of a bonus there. Granted, still a bonus.

    3. Not a single person in my guild crafts for conquest.

    4&5. We don't spend evening after evening spamming wzs and FP. My guild does alot of different things and is extremely casual about everything.

     

    Yet despite this we still hit the 500k conquest target with ease and most my members complete their personal conquest target.

  7. I don't quite understand the problem?

     

    I'm halfway to 50k conquest points on my vanguard from a couple of flashpoints and three warzones. And I'm not even paying attention to it. My guild is small but we never struggle to hit the small yield conquest target, and we dont even focus on it. I just invade the planet and forget about it till the next week.

     

    If small guilds are trying to go for the large yield conquest then ofc your gonna struggle.

  8. 6.0 is the most balanced PVP i've experienced in all MMOs. Now I do say that Huttball can actually be renamed to Sniper Ball because the utility lends itself so well to that particular discipline. But i think the current state of the game is really good.

     

    What game are you playing?

     

    The majority of pvp matches I'm in are facerolls in one teams favour with obvious imbalance. I've only had 2 intense and balanced matches since the expansion where it was a true fight to win. Especially in a civil war where middle wasnt capped till near the end of the match.

  9. Some of us actually play for those cut scenes. Hkw about they stop with ops and gearing and focus just on cut scenes instead?

     

    Or maybe they should just keep giving everyone something.

    That isnt playing. That's watching. It's a game, not a movie 😋

  10. But, you know what? Even if a system was in place so that as many players as possible could enjoy all the content in the way that each wanted, there would still be someone saying "Game is too easy", just to make trouble for those who get to enjoy things easier.

     

    There is no reason to adopt an exclusionary attitude, it just isn't right. And for this game in particular, because it is Star Wars, and EA and the devs need to stop giving prospective new players and current casual/solo/casual solo players all the vibes of "you're about as welcome as waterborne disease" for that very reason of it being Star Wars.

     

    You seem to have a very paranoid attitude to people, thinking they are out to get you and spoil your fun.

     

    Quite frankly every heroic is soloable in this game. At least to my knowledge. And I see no exclusionary attitude in this game. So not sure what your getting at.

     

    Tbh, SWTOR has lost more veteran players and put off more new players with how easy the game is than it has lost them because of how "hard" it is.

     

    Personally I've not noticed any difference with the companions. I still think they are way to powerful but I've been around since launch and enjoyed it when you had to gear them. Was very rewarding having a good geared companion and soloing harder content.

    We're looking for enthusiastic players to help shape and create this guild into a lasting community. Everything will be new for us so we need people to help contribute and grow this guild into something that everyone can be apart of.

     

    We are looking to focus on all aspects of the game RP-PvE-PvP and want to create a chill & fun atmosphere.

     

    In character wise, we are a group of Individuals that have become disillusioned with the current galactic conflct. Setting aside our allegiances , we focus on finding, preserving & protecting valuable & dangerous technology & artifacts from those that would seek to destroy or abuse them.

  12. I dont really see the problem. I've just been enjoying the game and playing what I feel like Be it FP, PVP, dailies, heroics, etc and just seem to be constantly getting better gear and modifications.

     

    It hasn't felt like a grind for me and when I receive stuff I dont need I just deconstruct them for tech fragments.

     

    I've gone to 284 rating pretty quickly and easy.

     

    I've found this much better than all the crap they added before with needing tokens, unassembled pieces and what not for one pice of gear.

     

    Just play what you want and feel like and you'll soon see your rating climb.

  13. but I've said all along that the backstab ability where you can't turn is an issue. It needs to go or the stun effect needs to be more like an interrupt with maybe a 0.5-1 sec stun. It really is one of the most OP abilities in the game.

     

    Really?

     

    Operatives have to spend a utility to get immobilise and interrupt on back stab, and it can only used from stealth. Where as Assassins get a stun + decent damage from stealth as a base ability. (which was removed from operatives).

     

    The only other annoying ability would be crippling slice which they get in concealment which isn't hard to get out of. It doesn't even stop you from casting heals, etc.

     

    Overall assassins have more cc in general and you're complaining that operative is OP?

    KotFE ends the same month Legion comes out. Like WoW or not, with the release of Legion it'll have had 5 new raids come out since SWTOR's last. On top of that, WoW's pvp is being completely overhauled from how you gear for it to having a dedicated talent system.

     

    Eventually people are going to realize they don't need to be subbed month-to-month to enjoy SWTOR's current model and this whole letter will be meaningless.
