  1. I wish to state I fully agree with the OP. I buy hypercrates for new items. Instead of getting new Bronze level items, I got a whole bunch of old stuff I already had duplicates of. I found this to be poorly implemented and a bit of a waste. If this is how it is going forward, I will be seriously reconsidering purchasing the hypercrates at all.
  2. Hello, I am by no means a hardware guy, so hopefully people out there will be able to help me with upgrading my video card (if there is even an upgrade option). I am currently using an ATI HD Radeon 4600. It's okay. I'd like something better if possible. Below are my computer specs. Any suggestions for an upgrade? Thanks in advance! 3. As long as I can buy my 50 without worrying about it or any future bans, I'll be happy.
  4. I thought they were Heroic level missions specifically designed to group up with other players in their ships.
  5. I don't have any experience, but I have been leaning towards something like this. I am currently focus spec, and I have not been finding great DPS mods. The better mods I am finding are def based. I have found great gear for Kira, and she far outstrips my DPS (and even HP, its kind of sad). I had been trying to find gear that boosted STR + crit value, but I am thinking of going down the def gear route just for affordability and what I can find available.
  6. I don't know why you don't have a companion. When I did that quest, I had Kira with me while T7 was off slicing.
  7. I love using Force Leap to cross the canyons on Tattoonie to take out Sand People snipers, one side to the other.
  8. I haven't heard/seen this. I can't even find it on torhead. How is it obtained? Stats? Do you have an image?
  9. "I'm talking about a PvE DPS situation especially and just find certain abilities overpriced." I, too, play a PvE DPS Focus spec Guardian. Sometimes I do run low on Focus. When that happens, generally I pop Combat Focus (or whatever it is called) to build up my pool. Now, I may be just a bad player but I don't have a set rotation. I tend to lead with Force Leap/Force Sweep (currently lvl 25), but from there it depends on what I am facing/doing. For the most part, I don't worry about my focus (I will through in the occasional Strike if I need to) and I am good to go. What I worry about at this stage is my health. That drops like it is going out of style. Oh how I wish Kira was our healer. I can't wait for Doc (this current alt is a re-roll from another server so I do know what I am missing ).
  10. I do not understand a DPS build not using Master Strike. I don't do raids or the like (solo PvEr here), so maybe the play style of raids is different. However it is a healthy chunk of damage and I can't see myself dropping it.
  11. Sadly torhead seems to be down for me, so I can't look over the build. However you said this is not a good leveling build. I am currently lvl 42 and while I started as Def, I have now moved to a Focus/Vig hybrid build. What would you recommend for leveling? The AOE route I am currently using (with singularity, force sweep, and the talent that makes force sweep a crit) or going more vig and single target?
  12. I am 42 and a hybrid Focus/Vigilance spec. Right now, yes, I do a lot of singularity and force sweeping. With Doc I do tend to mow through a low of groups fairly quick without the need for resting in between. That said, I do feel like I am missing some single target oomph for when I face Elites+
  13. Wow. I thought those instructions were a sarcastic joke. I didn't realize it was a fairly truthful explanation of the steps needed to be taken. I didn't realize Rube Goldberg was involved in planning the crafting system.
  14. I think that would be hysterical, to get an audio message from him about prepping the best escape pod while in the middle of a combat mission.
  15. I am currently playing an IA/Operative. This toon is designed so I only play it with certain friends when we are all only. The group has a Tank (BH), DPS (Assassin), and Healer (Sorc). I am kind of the swing man, doing DPS and healing and just filling in where needed. As we have a Tank and a Healer, is there a huge detriment to using Light moddable armor instead of Medium moddable armor? With all the upgrades being kept up to date, how much am I missing out on if I choose Light armor to use? (There are a couple of Light armor pieces that I like aesthetically, but I don't want to screw over my team because I want to look fab).
  16. So an orange item would actually be more useful to have, as you can constantly upgrade it to be the latest and greatest where as the purple are a bit more limited? I have a few orange items now that I really like the look of, so I am hoping I don't have to change later on
  17. Hello, Is there really any difference between a purple whatever and an orange whatever if they are both fully moddable? If the two items have the exact same mods in them, they should have the exact same stats, yes? Or I am completely missing something here. If there is a guide to items and their colors and upgrade and all that, I have not been able to find it, so any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  18. Is there a rough number Guardians should aim at to have for Endurance at certain levels? I know the more the merrier, but is there a minimum recommended number? Like level x10 or something?
  19. This helps a lot actually, as she draws that nasty attention that is not letting you interrupt him. Force Push & Force Kick are your friends in this fight. Just time them right and it is easier than it looks. Send in Kira, Force Leep in, Saber Ward, Call on the Force and then interrupts and the like. Once Kira is at about 50% health, that's when I taunt him to get his attention so she doesn't drop.
  20. For my part, I was level 27 and took two tries to beat him. The first, I was completely not thinking about the fight, merely the storyline and then "wow, that force push is kind of nasty". I think my next thought was, "Oh, this is the guy the forums said was a pain in the *****". So because my mind wasn't on the fight, I lost it. On the second try, sending in Kira first and then managing my interrupts and the like, I think I beat him inside of a minute, or maybe just over. I have found that to be the case with most bosses; it all comes down to management and paying attention.
  21. While I personally would like a hood down toggle, I would not want it at the expense of my current armor. I got a nice grey robe, with a green tunic; as a Corellian Jedi, my toon appreciates having the color scheme right. Also, the higher level armors with the wacky shoulder pads designed by Rob Liefield look, IMO, hideous ... when does a Jedi ever have that kind of wardrobe in the series? I'd rather stick with more movie/clone wars cartoon canon robes & armor then have other options without a hood that make no sense. YMMV
