  1. Yes. Yes, they are mocking us. They make a crappy game, and then they don't even have the decency to make it work right.

     

    it's not crappy, I still play it, although the bugs make me throw stuff out the window, being a temperamental guy..

  2. So that's what no queuing means.. dooooh silly me... and there I was thinking they were busy implemtning things like higher server caps, more instances etc etc... but there ya have it.. the numbers are dropping peeps, tomorrow the sky will fall as well.

     

    For your info Red Eclipse doesn't seem to be following your assumptions, in fact I am seeing extra instances and increased pops across them... b ut I dare say once the xfers and 1.3 hype have shallowed the numbers will fall until the next update.

     

    On a side note there have been some weird things happening since 1.3... objects not activating, Datacrons with n o icons, the old speeder bike graphic issue making you run like John Wayne on a donkey, WZ glitching... but then again 1.3 was just like every other patch to date and requires patches to fix the patches that patched the patches that patched the issues that materialised after the update was implemented.... nothing that countless maintenance windows wont iron out beofre 1.4 lands... ya see the pattern too I can tell :)

     

    might be higher caps, I didn't follow any news on this though

  3. They don't do unit tests anymore. They just throw stuff on the test server and hope for the best.

     

    This is already a horrible way of testing, but it's even worse because they don't even fix the stuff we report on testcenter, lol.

     

    well I wouldn't say horrible, regression testing has a good purpose, always good to have for future mistakes...

  4. my english isnt terribly good either...one thing that is annoying for me is,getting the craving for some lightly salted fish with a cup of paprika on it..logging out to avoid the afk logout timer getting me,then finish eating,then log back on,only to find it takes forever for the planets to load

    yes true, but they promised to optimize the game on the next patch or expansion, soon. What worries me the most is that the last 2 days we didn't have a queue on login in the evening, which means the player count is dropping, might be that it's the middle of the week also.

  5. I have zero lag in the game(other than that chat lag we had the other day), but I have heard others on the server complaining about it.

     

    I tried to help them by getting them to do a trace route to the server. . .but guess what. . .there are no ip adresses/hostnames available for the servers! Which is just silly.

     

    Good luck trying to find out what's causing your lag, Bioware doesn't seem to want to give out that information.

     

    On the other hand, this, the forum, is usually the last place I try to solve my issues, since it's full of i:Di:eek:ts, so..

    the ips you can traceroute to are these (quoted from a recent support email)

    > If you play on a East Coast server: tracert 159.153.92.28

    they also asked me for a dxdiag a client log and a launcher log.. I hope they get back to me soon

  7. I've been suspecting this for a while....

    with the ludicrous stat allocation on gear....3 peices of healing gear is optimal for a dps...and 3 pieces of dps gear is optimal for healing....they just gotta be trolling.

    and that's just one example.

    yes well you need to farm more after full set, change some mods and stuff

    Good for you, now go play. I'm not being rude but in our software company we usually go with the divide and conquer strategy to find out bugs. So the team mates that cannot reproduce them are assigned to something else... in your case, something different than this thread.

  9. I come home from a tiresome day of work to have some fun playing this game just to find it full of bugs and bs.

    In warzones the lag spikes are horrid, I loose most of them because this, trying to open doors in voidstar and throwing balls in the pit, not to mention the imbalance between classes.. and NO, it's not about teamplay cause that is not balanced either.

    Yesterday not even the chat was working.. seriously I demand to see your unit tests!

  10. 1. The People The Players themselves. Anyone who actually sticks around in 50 pvp knows that you cannot slouch or take shortcuts. They play their role and they play hard, otherwise they are brushed to the side and cost their team heavily.

    2. The Combat I've played WoW, DAOC, Guild Wars and Warhammer pvp extensively. SWTOR took all the things I like, and generally made them better. Sure, I don't like every part of the system but I still agree with it in it's current state. A TEAM working together has a hard counter for everything that is thrown at them. Whether it be guard, heals, CC, abilities or just plain 'ol focused fire.

    3. The Development Team Commitment Developing how a game works works is pretty simple in the macro state of mind. You paint an outline of exactly how you want things ot work, then you mix your paint and start filling in the details. This is a long and arduous process, but a work of love. This team is constantly pushing things in the direction they want it to be. Every change brings a sense of balance and I can understand why every change was made, though I don't always completely agree. It's not MY game, it's theirs and I play it according to their rules.

    4. The Feel I love old school pvp games. A system of roles, therefore requiring great teamwork. Every class is resricted to what they are and what they can do, but they prosper in that they do some things much better than anyone else could hope to. This is the one rule you always live by in this type of system, it encourages structure.

    5. The Trolls Okay, I didn't have a 5. Everyone hates useless people, everyone loves trolls.

     

    what you said here is somewhat good, teamwork yes, but you forget about those times when you actually end up solo and get buried by some other class, if you're not playing the right one, which is frustrating.

     

    and you might wanna change you signature, makes you look like a tard.

Your defense in pyro is actually having mobility while still being able to attack as well as having a slow+burn dots on your rapid shots and being able to LOS and having an instant cast rail shot up the majority of a fight. You are more than welcome to keep bringing gimped tracer missiles into pvp but against a good team you are just going to always have it interrupted and you have zero mobility.

     

    In the off chance you are completely left alone then yes arsenal does more damage. The problem is you are a turret and you can't kite a melee once he's glued to you like you can as a pyro. I will never EVER play arsenal in pvp because of that. There is no defense against a melee as arsenal spec.

     

    Have you ever tried it? Actually tracer is uninterruptable and also concusion... I tried both with same gear and noticed I have less damage on pyro and less survivability, and not to mention heat management. Trading that for mobility works for me.

    You might say dots and slow for cylinder but you get it cleansed and jumped on.

    Remember I play a merc a shadow and a guardian at the same time.

     

    p.s. guardians are ridiculously overpowered, even with no expertise and level 49 gear i can do a huge amount of damage to bms, kill a few with some healing backup.. stuff I couldn't do on the others

    I just switched this spec to arsenal.. way better, more damage, and I use unload a lot also, dmg increased + slow, does about 2.5k per last tick on full bm gear.

    5 stacks heatseeker hits about 4-5k crit, tracers are 2-3k crits also pretty nice.

    shield on tracer cast handy, no interrupt handy, rocket boost and punch also handy.

     

    I'm not going back pryo until they buff detonator and make this tree's skills a bit more helpful in defense.

  13. That's not chain stun.. Any hard stun will break you out of stealth, that ability is a mez and it breaks as soon as you are hit..

     

    Seriously.. you haven't seen chain stunning until you've gone against Assassins in PWI who can literally lock you down for as long as it takes to kill you, no CC breaker, no resolve system and anti stun pots only work if you pop them BEFORE the stun and have a very short duration with very long cooldown, way longer than the CC breakers we have in this game..

     

    CC is very tame in this game compared to others I've played, and yet it's the most complained about aspect.

  14. Your expectation to survive the onslaught of multiple players by yourself is unreasonable.

     

    yes but the jk/sw snares are not resolved, and they should be a bit of a bar.

    wz are full of them and they all jump on you continuously.. as in *no chance* for some other classes.

    Comparing between merc and shadow which i both play regularly, merc has no chance (rocket boost, jump right back on to you! damn frogs..)
