Funny, I was about to reply to another thread on this topic, and I was wondering the exact same thing. BM Jugg here Immortal spec Basically from what I've seen, most people go with DPS gear. The tree itself gives you a lot of mitigation and you hit people decently hard for being a tank while wearing it. If 8 people are beating on you, you're going to go down fast regardless of what gear you're wearing, not counting defensive cooldowns. I'd like to hear from some Immortal BM Juggs that have the defense gear. I have all Vindicators and no war leader and I do fine.

Except I am better and more talented than you. AND I also put in way more time. So yes, I should and will dominate you.

Wow. I can't believe this. To all you people saying "You should pvp for fun, if you pvp for gear there is something wrong with you", let me explain a little something to you. This is a totally insane, ridiculous statement. I PVP for one reason and one reason only: To better my character so I can completely dominate yours. I want the best pvp gear in the game. I want the casual player to log in, see my insane, insane amazing gear that he never has a chance to get because he has a life, and cry and moan out of jealousy. I want him to have no chance at all at defeating me, because I sacrificed having a social life to get the best gear in the game. Nobody pvps for "fun", that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. The whole point of MMOs is you grind to get to the next step. They need to have rewards for the top 10%, top 1%, top 0.1%, and top 0.01%. "PVP to have fun" with no rewards lol. Why not tell the Steelers to play football but there is no superbowl. or tell Dentists to enjoy their career, but now make minimum wage. Or tell Bioware employees to make a fun game for the joy of the people, and not their paycheck. Everyone does things for incentive, and I sacrificed *A LOT* to be at the top of the players, and I want to feel like I'm at the top. Get it? I want to be REWARDED for having gear that is so good, I can dominate a battlefield and get 13 medals. I want more than a pat on the back, I want access to additional rewards that only I can get because I am JUST THAT OBSESSIVE. Hardcore gamer here. To all the casual players who call me sick and say I don't have a life, etc etc etc: I own you in warzones.

50 Jugg here, unless they fix the game soon I'm going to have to quit. Every Sorc in this forum says things are fine. LOL. Of course you do. Sorc is *ridiculously* OP. They do just as much/more damage as me, except they can do it at range, and can heal. They have almost as much mitigation as a tank class. I can sit on there and beat on them for 2 minutes and they're fine. Melee got screwed, screwed, screwed. First, the animation lag makes you start a move and not complete it. Secondly, you do just as much damage as ranged classes...except you have to be standing by them, and them in a cone infront of you. Melee got *screwed*. We need a buff.

No, it doesn't work if you queue as a group. Queue solo and it will count.

50 Jugg here with some pvp gear. The problem with what is said above is this: 3 different talents 2 different skills needed to be used within a few seconds of each other (one of which is channelled, and you need the whole channel) Once ALL of those conditions are met, and you can get yourself in between some enemies, yes, you can do an AOE crit for around 3k. BIG FREAKING DEAL. Guess what - every other class can crit you for 3k easily. Sorcs and assassins can crit you for 4-5k, while BH's can crit you for 2k a few times in quick succession. So, the whole 'smash build' idea is fun for PVE, and kind of fun in PVP when you can line up all your ducks in a row, but thats it - you're pretty much a one trick pony, and that is your trick. This class is seriously U.P right now

I played 20 matches today and won 6, and two of those were because people left so I really only won 4. I'm an imperial, and I'm not bad at pvp, so I don't want to hear "yur bad and yur team loses", that isn't the case. I'm always near the top of the charts. Now, I just hit 50 and only have 2 pieces of PVP gear and I realize this means I'm weak compared to other 50s, but what happens is imperials leave games they don't think they'll win...so over and over and over, its an unfair battle. I don't mean I lose, I mean I lose by them 3 capping or just utterly annihilating us... I mean, its almost laughable. Its 6-0 huttball over and over. I get the huttball, nobody to even pass to. . . But every republic team I run into seems to have level 50s in full 11 piece champion gear with 17k+ hitpoints, and my team is me, a 50, with some level 20s and maybe one or two other level 50s and we just get utterly, utterly stomped, almost every time. Is there some secret 'premade only' group that has a vent that I don't know about? None of my friends are 50 yet so I have to solo queue...but I should be winning at least 50% of my matches, and my matches should be close...not complete domination. I'm trying REALLY hard to not get frustrated but its difficult when nobody on your team has more than 2 medals and the enemy has 285k damage and such...

Hm these are both very helpful responses, tyvm. It seems that both rage and tank are viable, that is what I wanted to know. Rage is a lot more fun to me (I like doing big damage and getting kills) so I'm going to lean that way then. Additional opinions are also welcome

I am focused on end game pvp, and I need to know, are all Juggs specced immortal (and therefore get the defense rating champion gear) or is it viable to go for a rage tree/shockwave specced jugg and get surge/power champion gear for the awesome smash hit? Since it takes a lot of time to get this gear, I need to know what direction to go in. My guess is probably go as defensive as possible?

Well, is there? That would be totally awesome...but I don't see it. Could I get a dev response, please? This is a serious issue for me, its really affecting my enjoyment of the game.

Please, if you're going to require me to spam buttons, don't give me a big red error "YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH RAGE' or 'NOT CLOSE ENOUGH' every time I spam and it isn't a legal target. Its bad enough I have to slam the keyboard about a billion times a second, it would be a lot more livable if I didn't have a red stream of text down the middle of my screen telling me I'm spamming my attacks(which I of course am...so is everyone else). inb4 turn off flytext, it doesn't effect this.

I thought of this myself before I even read this thread, and I'm only level 11. I already have to designate a 'build rage' spam button, now I have to spam two.

As said, I want to know what the best Species would be for Sith Warrior, also I noticed in the Beta different NPCs react differently to you if you are one species or another, can anyone shed some light on if being a trueblood sith for example does anything for you in game(besides story)

Just wanted to reply to some posters in my previous(now locked) thread: "There will always be someone better than you." Well, tell that to Michael Jordan. This is a dumb quote and isn't true. You *can* be the best at something, its just rare, because there can only be one 'best' in any given thing. If you subscribe to that philosophy to make yourself feel better for not being capable of competing for the #1 position, then you're a pushover. "I heard if you shout louder and rage the best that you will get 'special' treatment. Keep it up!" My reply to that is, "The squeaky wheel gets the oil".
