  1. Starfox was awesome... Hence this is even better... So I dont understand your logic... To me the space shooter is only but the cherry on top of the awesome landbased gameplay imo. Sure id love a space simulator ala SWG... but i dont hold onto the past like some ppl. BioWare/LucasArts were smart to take the WoW formula and put it in Space, which gave us TOR. And i can only expect them to look at WoW, take the good parts and bring them into TOR in time. Its Genius.
  2. It all boils down to... STARWARS > WARCRAFT period... I liked WoW... but i didnt stay long because im bored of the whole swords, bows, and spells being rehashed in every other game. So... I went back to SWG while waiting for TOR. I dont mind when ppl say "WoW in Space" because the "Space" part they are talking about is the STARWARS part. And im a STARWARS fan over Warcraft anyday. This is my WordlOfWarcrack.
  3. ^this You have to buy the expensive Jedi Robes from the vendors on the Republic Fleet, They are fully moddable i believe, and keep that "Jedi" look that i too wanted since the beginning
  4. Thing is theres numerous ppl with different PC specs (High, Minimum) who are having FPS issues... so all i can say is, either stay clear of ATI cards or(majority of complaints) or know for sure what ur getting already runs TOR with no problems.
  5. I LOL in your face for thinking me(aswell as many many many many others) have not ALREADY thought of this? As i said, its WIDESPREAD, NO MATTER THE PC SPECS (BEST OR MINIMUM)... Shadows is probably one of the first things i (and many many many others) thought to turn off...
  6. ???? thats odd, ive heard the opposite, tons of ppl who had no problems during beta, are now unable to decently play the game at all (FPS issues) and consider No matter what PC specs.(Mainly ATI cards)
  7. Trust me, your not missing anything wonderful, theres tons of complaints of ppl not even able to run the game decently anymore, compared to during Beta... FPS issues, no matter what PC specs ppl have, the same issues are occurring. THIS IS A GAME BREAKING PROBLEM... and BioWare really needs to figure it out before launch, or a lot of ppl will be unhappy, many will not want to play a game that lags woth no reason, while we can run higher quality games with ease.... So u guys who arent in yet, be thankful for not being in the queues, aswell as this widespread FPS issue...
  8. Actually a "CD Player" doesnt just play the second u press play, CD players have a buffer time to spin the CD, read it, then it presumes to PLAY(Especially if the CD player is having issues from being used alot).... MP3 Players on the other hand are a different story. Anyways what im trying to say is, think of TOR as the CD, the server as the CD player, and the server queue as the "buffer time" it takes to load the game(CD). And consider the servers being used alot(Packed)
  9. Awesome, im also looking for a laptop, Asus look good, also Dell XPS, but im unsure like u, What kind of price range is that one u listed?
  10. This is just redicilous tho! Why alienate ATI users? Im sure half the masses are using ATI cards, ATI cards are pretty standard in current systems nowadays and BW is going to alienate them? All i have to say is psshhh... just psshhh:mad:
  11. Id feel bad for the OP, if it wasnt a possibility to pre-order, enter the code for EA, then go back and cancel the pre-order, while the EA codes stays valid. Sooo ya. If anything BW gets jipped, not u for not being able to play a game for free before it actually launches.
  12. Another FPS issue eh? hmmm i wonder how many more complaints until BW actually takes action to resolve this WIDESPREAD issue for us ATI users...
  13. BioWare... this is game breaking for a great amount of us.(Mainly ATI or NVIDIA users). I just dont understand how a game with this art style can have so many graphic issues. Unless were all completely off and its something else? More than likely its game side, because these issues are occuring with ppl with high end PC specs... Its very frustrating, I and I know everyone else wants this game to succeed, especially at launch, but this is one major issue that wont let there be a "smooth launch". Rumors are that it could be a memory leak? Maybe its up to our graphic card companies to roll out better drivers? Whatever it is, i hope it gets resolved sooner than later.
  14. Idk but it seems likes its being treated as a non issue... On some good news for AMD/ATI ppl, they just released another driver update on the 13th for HD Raedeon 4000-5000 series etc., i have yet to download and try since i have yet to recieve my invite, But anyone else have the chance to test the driver update and see if it resolves these issues were having???
  15. I think EVERYONE should try this, let us (me) know if this is an actual solution. Esp me since i have yet to get my invite =/
  16. Im reading all this and cringing in fear for the day i get my email to EA... I mean during beta my Dell Inspiron M5010 with ATI graphics card had similar issues, ive done just about everything that this thread stated. Was also able to run other graphic heavy games such as Skyrim with rather good fps. Im starting to believe the "ATI" and "Memory Leakage" issues are the ones to blame. To many similar instances for many ppl, BioWare really needs to address this, especially considering how close to launch, and the fact that one of the excuses of the art style is the way it is was to make the game playable for a wider audience... doesnt seem to be working so far... But not to blame all BW, tisk tisk ATI/AMD...
