  1. You know you've been there. You need to scan 8 disabled robots. You need 3 more. You see a group of 3, so you move in to attack! You kill the first one, and while you are killing the second, someone runs up and scans the dead one! Now, you have to finish killing the second one, and then scan it quickly before the jerk scans that one, all while the third one is still attacking you! If you kill a mob, it should be yours. Nobody should be able to come up and interact with your dead mob in any way. If they need scanned robot parts, they should have to kill their own robots, and not leech off of me. Now, if I don't need those mobs for a quest, then they're just sitting there. So, maybe a timer? If the corpse is not interacted with for 30/45 seconds or so, then anybody else can interact with it (if it's still there, that is!)
  2. A lot of the mobs in TOR are chained to one another. By this I mean, you pull one, three will come. They're all together like that. I've always thought that if you pull one, all the mobs in the group should be tagged to you. There's just something annoying about pulling a group, and as you're fighting one, someone comes along and grabs one of the others off your pile. Yes, I know, that's what AoEs are for. However, that's not always something you can do, especially if some of the mobs are ranged. So, instead of having to run around and tag all of them, make it so that mobs tag in groups. I attack one of the group, any other mobs in that group that turn and attack me should auto tag to me, so I don't have to worry about trying to grab them all before someone else comes by and picks them off.
  3. I know I'm going to get flamed on this one, but honestly, that's ok. Yes, this is an MMO. However, nobody can disagree that MMOs nowadays are pretty much single player games, with multiplayer thrown in. I can solo my way to 50 in TOR, doing most Heroic 2+ quests with my companion, and avoiding the Heroic 4s. Don't need to do Flashpoints, either. So, yes, it's a single player game with a lot of people running arounf. My suggestion is this. Put in a No-Help option. What this would do is, if turned on, nobody can help you. Sometimes I'm out an about, and come across an elite or a champion, and I want to see if I can solo it. It's one of the things I like to do. What I don't like is when someone comes around and helps me kill it. I'm sorry, but I didn't ask for your help, nor do I want it. I will even ask them to stop. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. What the No-Help option would do would prevent anybody else from damaging any mob that I have already tagged. They can beat on it all they want, but they will do no damage to it. On the flip side, they will also not be able to heal me, if I'm about to die. The option would not be toggle-able in combat, so I wouldn't be able to switch it off just to receive a heal. If I want to do it alone, then I have to take the good with the bad. I'm sure people will tell me to go play a single player game. I'll respond now with, if TOR was a single player game, I would! However, it's not. It's an MMO. I love the game, but sometimes just want to play by myself, with no outside help. I think this would be a good way to go about letting those that just want to play solo for a bit, and try to do things on their own, allow them to do so.
  4. Yeah, the mods in the newer gear are usually better, but I can make most of the purple recipes for artifice at my level, so odds are, I'd be upgrading the mods anyway.
  5. Yeah, I meant that I don't see weapons when I ctrl-click it. Maybe that's a bug on my end? But I only see armor when I ctrl-click, not weapons.
  6. Perfect, thanks all! So it's just a visual thing, then, the stats would be the same between the two items, as long as the mods are the same. Now, I just wish you could see what equipment looks like when you ctrl-click it.
  7. Or can I just stick with what I have, and mod it? Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find it in my search. Anyway, what I am asking is, if I use the lightsaber I start with, in my case the Ancient Lightsaber (Sith Warrior here,) will I ever have to replace it? Or can I just stick with it and upgrade the mods as I level? In other words, do all the orange lightsabers have the same base stats, and it's only the mods that are used that change it? Will a lightsaber I get at level 40, on whatever planet I'll be on at that point, using the commendations I get there, be exactly the same as the Ancient Lightsaber I currently use, if I have the same mods in it? Or will that newer lightsaber have better base stats? I've been looking for this info, but, as of yet, I have been unable to find it. Thanks!
  8. I just tried my launcher, and I'm now in. November 29th here. Check your launcher, people!
  9. So, an in game title for waiting so long to order the game, or ordering earlier, but forgetting to put in the code? Ok, sure.
  10. The wave is, more than likely, a certain number of pre-orders, not a specific date range.
  11. I would do the same. If it weren't for my guild on one of the original servers.
  12. This wave was BS. 25th through PART of the 28th?? All this time, I've been good, and I haven't complained about the waves and such. I pre-ordered on November 29th, and knew I would be later on. But this? This I'll complain about. Not even 4 days of pre-orders in this wave? I didn't think I would do it, but I have to say: Bad form, Bioware. Bad form, EA.
  13. Try again, buddy. Wave 5 is the next one. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=26745
  14. Screenshot of your access page, or I call BS. November 26th pre-orders have not gotten in yet.
  15. No, you did NOT pay for a FULL 5 days. You paid to be able to play on December 20th, and they OFFERED you UP TO 5 days. Are people really still going on about this? It's not Bioware/EA's fault that you don't know how to read things properly.
  16. Not the date you pre-ordered, but the fate you redeemed your pre-order code.
  17. And another wave is go! I am November 29th, and it looks like I am not in this wave. Which sucks. But oh well, life, it goes on.
  18. I know that you posted the link later on, but my question is, why were you planning on sending it just in a PM? Why not post it originally? That makes no sense to me.
  19. You do realize you paid to play on the 20th, right? The early access was a bonus. Also, since the early access bonus was UP TO 5 days, not necessarily a TOTAL of 5 days, as long as you get in at some point before the 20th, you will have gotten what they promised, right? And they did say that early access would be given on a first come, first served basis. It's not Bioware/EA's fault that you didn't pre-order sooner. It's your own.
  20. You still make NO sense! How is it that people that have no problem with Bioware have no social skills?? So, you're saying that if I don't have a problem with the way early access has gone, then I lack skills related to communication, teamwork, management and leadership? That's not even CLOSE to describing me. It means nothing of the sort! I said they could have done something different. That does not mean that they lack communication skills. It just means that I see a different way t hat *I* would have done it. You may say that Bioware or EA have no communication skills. In which case you'd be wrong, as they HAVE communicated. Just because you're not happy with what they have had to say does not mean they lack communication skills. And, what does Bioware and EA's supposed lack of communication skills have to do with the people that are playing the game? You really make no sense. I really hope that I am being trolled, because if I am not, my mind has now been completely blown.
  21. That's awesome! An unofficial thread has become the official thread. Grats, Qwertly!!
  22. They were trying to avoid queuing on the very first day. Obviously, they knew that there was a chance of queues as they added more people, but the whole thing was to try to stop it from happening. They're not so stupid to believe that there would not be ANY queues. And, you're saying that if people don't see a problem with how they're managing the early access launch, then they most likely lack social skills? How does that even make ANY sense? The game will not fail because it is run by a "heartless corporation." The launch has gone well, and has gone according to the plan that Bioware/EA stated from the very beginning. The only thing I can see that they could have done different is to give estimates as to when people would get in. They didn't. Oh well, it happens, move on. All I have to say about that is, if the biggest problem in your life is that you didn't know what day you were going to get into early access for SW:TOR, then you have an amazing life, and I'm slightly jealous.
  23. Also, for anybody wondering about what the next few days hold, check out this post: Email invite waves for today, 12/14 (and an update for tomorrow) Second post explains it all.
