  1. Hell, even just implement a guild feature that allows the guild leader to decide what happens. Check a box if you want the guild leadership to transferred, check another box if you don't. The people that start the guild should have a say in what happens to their guild, rather than just have it default to giving it away... I have never seen a guild system like this in any game, and really dont understand why its a thing. If a guild becomes inactive, and members leave to join an active guild - that should be the only consequence;you lose your members. Just giving the guild to whoever logs in, when guilds take so much investment is just dumb.
  2. No way for me to know who has it or if they are even active.
  3. And risk having something like this happen again? I put so much time and effort and credits into this guild. It was my guild, no one else did any of it. Why would I put more time and effort into a system that could potentially screw me if a life crisis happens again? This has drained all my excitement for the expac and takes away all the fun knowing it's all gone.
  4. I know this is just poking fun at what he said, but it is exactly my point. I had to leave for work for a couple months and had no access to the game. It was spur of the moment and I didnt really have a choice. Being sick, work related issues, hell a heart attack or other hardcore health concerns... Players shouldn't lose everything they have worked for because life happened without even a warning. Trying to say I am a bad guild leader and deserve to lose my guild is ignorant and toxic. This system needs reworked.
  5. Thank you for being understanding and not just being toxic. This is exactly my point.
  6. So to be a good guild leader, I should remove all my members if I want or need to take a break? That is what makes a good guild leader? Gotcha...
  7. I did... other members were tending to it while I was away. But during this HUGE content drought, everyone got bored and also took a break. So we are to be punished because of the lack of content? This is stupid.
  8. Wait... people arent allowed to take breaks in SWTOR? is that it? I'm a bad guild leader and my guild deserves to be taken away because real life came up and I took a break?
  9. I took a break... Real life happens. I did not abandon anything. If I had been warned about this, or reminded via email or something, I wouldnt have let this happen. SWTOR can't be bothered to email me saying 'you havent logged in for a while and in so many days you will not be guild leader anymore'?
  10. I dont see how giving a guild to a random person, whoever logs in first when the guild is taking a break, would help a guild thrive. Thats not how leadership works... Just because some is appointed guild leader by the game, doesn't mean anything. Not to mention, after talking to some people, it seems like 9/10 this is what happens: Noobie gets a guild because he logged in, everyone in guild is removed, noobie has a guild!
  11. After trying hard to get my guild back, I was forced to take a break from video games while I was away for work for a couple months our guild was stolen - everyone was removed from the guild. All of my high ranking members were also taking a break, this was when content was not being updated regularly (Ossus only took about an hour to complete and most of us were just waiting for new good content like raids, etc...). So during this content drought we took a break, most of us didnt plan on it, it just happened. News of the new expac coming out soon has brought us all back, but our guild was stolen. Upon requesting help for this, this is what we find out... 'I understand that you invested heavily in your guild and you would like to get it back, but it wont be possible for us to add you back into it. In Swtor, if Guild Leader has not logged in to Star Wars: The Old Republic on their Guild Leader character for an extended period of time (30 days or more), the system will automatically remove them as Guild Leader and pass their leadership on to the highest ranking member who is a subscriber and has logged in within four weeks. If there were no active subscribers in the guild over the last four weeks, the highest ranking Preferred or Free-to-Play member who logged in within four weeks is promoted. Also a change in the subscription of the active guild leader will also cause the leadership to be transferred. If none of your friends or officers you appointed were no longer playing, the system transferred the leardership to the active player at that time. Therefore, the new leader can manage the guild as he sees fit ( disband, kick inactive members etc ). If you have any feedback you would like to share on how our guild system works, I would recommend to post on our official forum' So even if it was some random player that was initiate, just because he logged on he is entitled to all the hard work and investment that went into building it? This is not an issue I have had with ANY other game. I dont get warned via Email that all my **** is about to be stolen and that i should log on? I built this guild myself. I unlocked the Yavin HQ fully, decorated it to 100%. I unlocked the Flagship and decorated it hardcore too. Upgraded the bank, etc... I did guilt events, raids, etc... and someone is entitled to all that just because they logged on? Probably close to 500mil in credits invested into it and someone can just take it because they logged in and I dont even get a warning, it just happens? What?!?!?! Is this system meant to help keep guilds together, because it makes sure there is always an active guild leader? Because it seems like this system has broken up more guilds than it has kept together... We have talked about starting a new guild, but all that work seems pointless if the risk of this happening again is there... This has got to be the most ridiculous guild system I have ever seen... A guild that has been around since SoR is just gone, because the game just gave it away to some Initiate Member just because he logged in while we were waiting for content... Guilds in SWTOR take SO MUCH investment to build up, and a Free to Play or Preffered can steal it, without ever investing anything. This is wrong...
  12. Can we get class specific relic proc animations? I cant tell you how horrible it is as a Sith Sorc having light side effect procs - same could be said for any class not a jedi though... That yellow glow only fits 2 base classes in the game, and looks crap for any other. Sith Warrior - Red glow Sith Inquis - Purple glow Imp Agent - Some techy looking effect Bounty Hunter - Flames maybe Trooper - Techy effect Smuggler - Credit symbols or something Jedi Knight - blue glow Jedi Consular - keep the base yellow glow This doesnt seem like a hard thing to implement, and has been something that has bugged me since the get go. Every expansion I expect to see it change, and it never does - This has been around since relics have existed. Changing the effects of the procs would be a game changer for me - even if it was just based on LS/DS rating. Anyone else feel the same? (Relics I'm talking about: Serendipitous Assault and Focused Retribution)
  13. I quit back in December because of the problems with completing this flashpoint. Just returned and resubbed. Go to do the flashpoint after reading the problems were fixed. Doing it in solo story. Get to the Temple Guardian cat, attack it instead of giving it berries. Kill the cat, nothing happens for progressing the flashpoint. Still wants me to find a way around the cat. Cant continue do to this, but figure ill just reset it and start over - this time ill give the cat the berries. Do literally everything imaginable to reset the flashpoint, everytime it puts me right back where I was. I reset the chapter quest, abandoned the flashpoint quest, etc... I cant get the option to reset my phase to pop up, even after entering another phase and doing the reset though nothing happens. I've relogged, restarted the client, closed the client and waited an hour or two, restarted my modem, etc... I'm out of ideas I put in a ticket, but have come to the realization that I could be waiting days til its answered... (I've had tickets in the past take up to a week sometimes to get answered.) So I'm stuck where im at in the story, have been since november or december and don't want to wait all weekend to be able to finish a simple story quest. I'm at the point of unsubbing and uninstalling almost, knowing that 1/3 of my monthly sub time this month may possibly be devoted to trying to get this fixed... Unless I can get my ticket answered sooner rather than later or find a another solution on here I won't be coming back.
  14. Thats why I was saying streamline the rotation. Making death field reapply dots. Also increase the duration of the dots, 15-18 sec is far too short and forces us to reapply dots more often than should be required. With death field reapplying dots, the actual rotation would become 10x smoother. I do agree with more dmg and healing from our dots. Mobility might help us pvp wise, but does jack all for us in pve. Our survivability and dps in pve would overall stay the same. Changes like I suggested would help both instances.
  15. I dont think madness/balance need more mobility, but as I was saying in my previous comments: it needs a more streamlined rotation, along with more survivability. I think making it a possible dps hybrid offheals would be a good direction for the class spec, but that's just my perspective:P
  16. Imagine in wz/ops, dot up a group of enemies with death field then back off and cast heals, help dps, or even run away and survive until you need to reapply dots/look for another group of enemies to dot up. (Possibly make the group heals based on a radius from the target, wheras self heals are always going off from dots reguardless of range.) This also brings up an idea for a proc on dark heal that gives large force regen or something which would allow Madness/Balance to switch between focusing on offheals to dps without completely draining their force pool too fast. Maybe even make a utility that switches force lighting to inervate, keeping the same proc as before, but with dark heal added to the insta cast list. Have that utility also inscrease the dmg of your dots so that dots become the main way of dealing dps while tossing offheals, making healing with inervate increase the amount of dps and heals you can do. Basically making it so you'd have 2 types of madness sorc: 1 that focusses more on off healing while also doing moderate dps, 2 being more focused on dps with moderate offheals. I like the idea of Madness sorc using fear and hatred to benefit the entire group - kind of like a dread master or a Jedi using battle meditation This is pretty much how I played sorc before they simplified the spec trees and forced you down a singular path. Sorcs and Sages had decent hybrid builds that made them super valuable, not many played with the spec but it really was where the class shined the most imo. Would be a nice comeback for the class to see it return for Madness/Balance.
  17. Agree 100% At the moment the heals from dots are so small that they are hardly noticeable. I still think the heals from dots should heal the group as well. There's no reason our spec should be as useless as it is now. Madness sorc can easily be one of the harder specs to master in the game, but now simple things like the eternal championship (which never gave me issues at all pre nerfs) is an intense challenge for certain fights. Its made a hard class spec even harder for no reason at all, we were in no way OP before the nerfs; our damage was still low, survivability was all we really had. Something more needs to be done for us...
  18. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9454769#post9454769 Small list of suggestions for 5.6 Balance/Madness Sage/Sorc. Please give it a read and leave feedback!
  19. While I'm quite happy Death Fields damage buff is getting fixed, and the defense buff for resurgence is nice... I still feel we are one of the more useless class specs in the game. Here are some suggestions for 5.6, all based on my perspective and opinion: So feel free to poke holes in it -Maybe make Madness/Balance fill a different role, other than just dps? Giving their dots a bigger percentage heal from each tick, then make it so this healing is applied to the entire group like old school Shadow Priest. This would make madness sorc a good asset for pvp and pve, since right now we dont have the burst or high dps numbers give us more survivability that also benefits the group by doing off healing based on dmg output with dots. -Also make it so death field refreshes all dots while also increasing their duration, this would help streamline the rotation and increase dps; right now I feel the time it takes to reapply dots takes too long and really hurts the consistency of our numbers. Removing the time needed to reapply dots by making death field refresh them and/or increasing the duration of the dots (maybe even a crit proc for the dots of some sort?) would def push our numbers up a bit. Added with good to decent off heals from our dots, I think we could see Balance/Madness useful in ops and wz without having them needing OP dps or burst.
  20. Or maybe make it fill a different roll? Giving their dots a bigger percentage heal from each tick, then make it so this healing is applied to the entire group like old school Shadow Priest. This would make madness sorc a good asset for pvp and pve, since right now we dont have the burst or high dps numbers, give us more survivability that also benefits the group by doing off healing based on dmg output with dots. Also make it so death field refreshes all dots while also increasing their duration, this would help streamline the rotation and increase dps. *death fields dmg buff is listed to be fixed for 5.6. But I'd like to see more changes. Feels like, at present, we are one of the least useful class specs in the game :/
  21. My main questions to everyone claiming cheap transfers are the answer: How does this fix the population problem on dead servers? More people leaving these servers, which already lack population, fixes what?
