Sure is nice of you to try to derail a positive post on the state of ranked on POT5 by attacking an incoming guild. If guilds on The Shadowlands had the same attitude towards ranked as the OP's guild did, we wouldn't have to leave in the first place.

You are honestly turning into one of the most pathetic people on the forums, and its getting to the point where its just sad. I'm not sure why you've decided to have such a negative opinion towards ID, especially when grouping with them was at least partially responsible for you obtaining the 2k rating you found important enough to plaster on your forum signature. I already responded to the people in the PTS Ranked thread regarding crafted 54 PvE gear, and you can read my posts on it in that thread. The points I made are basically irrefutable, and unless you have a problem with people who use PvE set bonuses in PvP or people who used the double stacking partisan and conqueror relics (basically every PvPer with a brain) then you can't really blame anyone for using other types of PvE gear as well. Additionally, you have not named 1 member of ID that was actively doing ranked with his previous guild before joining. The reason you haven't answered this question is because there is not a single member of ID that meets this criteria and you know it. In conclusion, you, like pretty much everyone else on the forums who complains about ID, is butthurt. In your case, its because one of your players chose doing ranked PvP over normal warzones in an empty guild and Day Z. I'm sorry that you feel screwed by this, but that doesn't make your petty jabs and trivial arguments any more valid.

im not saying its not an advantage, it is a slight advantage, but imo it is overstated. i would much rather have faster pops and a little bit of latency issues, especially at this point.

We've been playing west coast and european teams on the pts and tbh it isn't THAT bad. Additionally, we've ran with people from all over the world on live, including Australia without many issues.

I just don't see why using crafted 54 pve gear is any more of an exploit than using pve 61's for a set bonus or using the double stacking partisan and conqueror serendipitous assault relics. The former, as previously stated, is highly debatable as to whether or not its intended, or another accidental consequence of the bolster system, the other was clearly not functioning as intended and was fixed, yet absolutely everyone did it. If someone who just hit 55 wanted to pvp, and had no gear besides crafted 54 pve gear he made himself, should he be labeled as an exploiter simply because he is using the best gear available? Maybe you think differently but I certainly wouldn't. BTW: Great games against reality check tonight, the second hypergates was one of the most exciting games ive ever played.

For 1, there are no other teams on our server that consistently queue, which is why I guess we have been pushing so hard for getting people to show up on the PTS in the first place. ID has been on the cutting edge about sharing information regarding this on the forum, and have been pushing harder than pretty much anyone to get this fixed. There were numerous threads posted by members of our guild on the forum about how certain pieces of pve gear are better than pvp gear, but they never recieved responses from BW employees, or other players. We finally had one which stuck though which was nice. Originally, with the first implementation of the bolster system on the pts, Bioware made set bonuses in armorings overwrite everything. This essentially brought upon a situation like the theoretical you are describing where PvE set bonuses were completely impractical for PvP. However, when people were complaining about PvE gear not being good enough for PvP, campaign gear was bolstered significantly, once again making those gear and set bonuses desirable. To say that Bioware intends for PvE set bonuses to be usable in PvP gear is highly debatable and most likely not the case, though, since they've never commented on the issue, much like with /stuck, we can really only speculate.

I fail to see how its a sad way to win. What you are essentially saying is that people should intentionally gimp themselves in order to play the game how bioware intended it to be. As stated previously, if two teams agree to do this, then I have no problem with it, same with agreeing to any other dumb mechanic like /stuck etc. But if there is no prior agreement, you use the mechanics which exist within the game to win. To counter what you said about this being an "exploit", what about using campaign gear in PvP in order to gain PvE set bonuses? I doubt that using PvE set bonuses in PvP is intended, and the stat loss from switching to that kind of PvE gear is pretty minimal. Is this acceptable? Those set bonuses are on PvE gear and not PvP gear for a reason yknow.

You are drastically underestimating the value of electronet, especially when u already have good focus fired in ranked. Being unable to vanish, leap, or move is a pretty big deal. Sorcs do have better healing capability, so I would still probably take them over a merc if I was pressed to choose, but its really close.

Since the beginning of mmos, people have attempted to gain an advantage by using the best possible gear available to them. Right now, best in slot gear for a lot of classes, especially ones with terrible set bonuses, is crafted 54 pve gear. I could understand that if the two teams agreed beforehand to not use crafted 54 pve gear to not use them. But if there is no prior agreement, I don't see why you wouldn't. For the record, the Krusty Krab Klan were attempting to do similar things, although much less effectively. Their op healer had 72 pve armorings for his 2 piece set bonus and there were at least a few people with the extremely ineffective micro filament implants.

lol, between 8-9 pm ID had just gotten back from winning ranked games on the PTS to win even more ranked games on live (we also won the fairly large 1v1 tournament which happened on our server that day despite many ID members sitting out to prepare for PTS ranked) and then after that went back on the PTS to win some more games. Congratulations on winning a normal warzone but if u really want to brag, why not break the mold of every guild on this server and actually not be pathetic and queue up for ranked warzones.

gg's against krusty krab klan last night, final score was 2-1 putting the series record at 6-2.

not sure about nd but we definitely didn't have anyone streaming.

We just played some great games against Nostrum Dolus, ended up going 2-1 against them. Really hope we can continue to play against them in the future as the games were very exciting. We will be ready to go up against Krusty Krab Klan and any other guilds that want to play at around 7 PST/10 EST.

We'll be trying to make a team at around 3 est to play against Nostrum Dolus and any other team that wants to queue around that time. Might be able to make something later tonight as well to play against teams wanting to queue in the evening.
