  1. I think its very reasonable to have marks clear after death, its incredible to see the amount of stupid, selfish people in this thread. Guarding doesn't change anything when snipers/everyone can instantly figure out who is healing someone, without using their brain...then healers get killed by 20 people instantly. If you can't see how that isn't fun, well ****. You are worthless as a person. I don't play a healer. It's so mindblowing that people could be this *********** stupid.
  2. its true. At least the gear can look unique, other then the weapons.
  3. Hey, its up to everyone to decide that for themselves. A lot cards, in my opinion, can be safely overclocked quite a bit. Not too much, but it makes a difference.
  4. hey guys I made a new thread, this time on general chat with even more helpful info XD And yes, you inquisitors ARE special XD http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=2516518#post2516518
  5. Hello. Hope you don't mind me mentioning this thread on my thread about FPS issues. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=2516518#post2516518
  6. I actually accidentally posted this in the inquisitor forums, made them feel special They liked it, so I felt maybe General chat would too... I also found this other thread right here http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=259967 Which has a really good way of improving FPS that I had not even thought of. (doing this on a high end pc will have a great results, cuz this is often the problem. Read my thread as well though! Lol ) Ok I'm no pro, this is just basic stuff gained from way too much gaming I had Fps issues in warzones too but i was too lazy to do this stuff about it until i just had enough xD. First, you need latest certified graphic drivers. Use beta if you like, but I do not recommend beta drivers. You never know unless you are experienced...and you can't hold nvidia liable if your machine fries. Second... Open the NVIDIA control panel, in program settings go to the manage 3d settings tab. Then go to specific program settings, and press ADD Find your SWTOR.exe in your \Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient folder. Make it look like this http://i42.tinypic.com/6tdd6q.jpg If you use a laptop, make sure you set your power-management level to HIGH PERFORMANCE. Try a cooling pad, and if that doesn't work cuz you can't get at one or its too cheap, take some caps from glass cans and place one on the bottom of each corner, which will raise your laptop, but still be stable. Use paper or something slightly larger then the caps if there isn't enough friction to keep it from sliding. Now go to your launcher icon, right click, properties, compatibility. Disable visual themes, and disable desktop composition and run it administrator. Clean up your pc! go to start and type MSCONFIG Turn off all the crap you don't need! But wait...there is more...if what we just did isn't good enough. http://www.nvidia.com/object/ntune_5.05.54.00.html nvidia's NTUNE software basically lets you overclock your nvidia graphic card. The ntune also simply wont let you overclock whatever card you have past unsafe points, but its all relative because it depends on TEMPERATURE. Be sure there is adequate cooling, if you use a laptop turn your laptop sideways if you have to, placing a fan staring at its bottom so its cooled. (this is actually super effective) You will need a different monitor to make that work obviously, as well as a usb keyboard/mouse. If you use this, you can't hold anyone liable for anything. But there are fail safes, so you probably wont make anything stupid happen. Probably. Look up on the internet what kind of settings your card is safe to be overclocked at, and look up its maximum heat tolerance. Make sure you add a warning messg if your card starts to reach that temperature. (profile policies) The ntune also simply wont let you overclock whatever card you have past unsafe points, but its all relative because it depends on TEMPERATURE. Rivatuner : Now this little proggie is a lot more advanced then Ntuner and if you use it you have to agree that nobody is liable for anything. It has a lot less fail safes to stop you from doing something bad....thankfully, we are just going to do one little thing that make a huge difference. (its also potentially dangerous. Use your own judgement) A lot of nvidia cards, once they get over a year old and have been used diligently, start having a problem. They think they are overheating, when they aren't. So they start throttling their performance...giving you huge problems. We are going to disable this throttle. When this happens, temperature readouts can't exactly be trusted, but they are still helpful. Your best bet is to feel around the card, and judge its temperature based on how hot it is. If you know your cooling is decent, and that your fan is working great, there should not be an issue. Still, be careful and try to see if your temperature readouts are actually accurate. In the latest version of rivatuner GO power user Now go to Nvidia\overclocking then to EnablePerfLevelForcing Set that to 1. Then go to the main tab > driver settings > customize system settings > Force Constant Performance level > Performance 3D. Apply. Ok. Now what you have done, is removed the overheat throttling. This means your card will work at its maximum potential, no matter what it thinks its temperature is at. This is ok, because often enough the temperature readout is accurate, but the card simply starts throttling because its getting older and its suffering from some sort of bug. Make sure its not ACTUALLY overheatign though. As I said, look at the temperature readouts, and actually feel the card. If its hot, thats fine...but if it burns your hand, that's prolly bad. If you have done all this right, and your game doesn't feel 10x better, buy a new pc. These days you can get amazing computers if you build it yourself, or if you have a friend do it for a lot cheaper then you would think.
  7. le-bump! i put effort into this! Really guys, try the first part. Its safe. edit : hey guys I made a new thread, this time on general chat with even more helpful info XD And yes, you inquisitors ARE special XD http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=2516518#post2516518

  9. Well, in WZ's that is. Max/great settings in any place, in any game, other then SWTOR warzones. I tried the LOWEST possible settings, like 800x600, in wz's....still laggy as ****. Except for Voidstar, that one is smooth as butter. Sigh what do except bumm the forums and complain? There is no way I should be having this issue. Do I really need to spend 1.4 k for a new pc JUST for this one game when I have NO problems in any other? Really? How about bioware OPTIMIZES this game. I swear to god I don't get whats wrong with this engine....I'm pretty sure if they used the Mass Effect engine thigns would look 10000x cooler and 1000000 smoother
  10. They are prolly like me. I hate everything about this game except the story. 7 more classes to go, just finished the assassin one
  11. Just finished my story and correlia. Great story. This pc can run any other xbox game on good settings (i play skyrim 1920x1080 with no prob) but for some reason wz's are laggy as **** so I can't do that. we are a wow guild, but they level super slow cuz they bad i guess. except me and some of the other players. always needing help on solo bosses and ****. sad. I beat thanaton with 90 % life left. Anyway blah. Combat in this game SUCKS. I play a sith assassin and although my class is fairly strong speced as a force pull/raze proc hybrid tank with crit chance runes. this class isn't what i was expecting at ALL from an assassin. I don't even care about hitting level 50, even though its just one bar away. All in all I think everything about this game sucks except the story. So which stories u guys think are the best? Also which classes are a bit smoother, u know don't feel like ur trying to move through mud? Iwas thinking BH cuz they just push 1 single button and do great, but maybe there are some classes out there which aren't still beta? I can't believe this game is so **** now. All through the days of pre-release I rdefended swtor from ****s***s who said it sucked before they ever played it...but guess what. they were all right. **** me. I'm just gona play the other 7 stories and quit. Now ive become the *********** who i was talking about on my siggy, its sad but its true and i see it but this game's biggest flaw is the fact that for some reason its super graphically unoptimized in WZ's, they need to figure that **** out, also combat in general is soo ****. SOO incredibly ****. I never, ever, ever, ever expected this from the bioware DEV"s. its almost like they hired some other company to make their classes, I can't believe they would come up with classes this ****tty jesus
