  1. I've been able to get used to the system with 2-3 people in front of me, but in a big crowd of red names and ability effects, the little red targeting arrow and circle are pretty easy to miss for a few seconds until you realize you haven't been hitting the person right in front of you. Hitting tab 4-5 times before finally targeting the person 3 feet in front of you is pretty mind bogglingly bad design. And trying to click a moving target instead is nowhere near as responsive as it is in the game that shall not be named, since clicking their health bar does nothing. When this version of tab targeting is still the better option most of the time, you know you've got one of the all time worst targeting systems.
  2. I use a G510 keyboard with the G8, G10, G11, and G12 keys mapped to wasd for movement, and I use Ctrl+[key] for a lot of my secondary abilities. It seems that it's expected that most people will use Alt+[key] for secondary hotkeys, but the layout of the G510 is more suited to using Ctrl for me. Unfortunately using G-keys doesn't seem to interact very well with swtor when trying to move and hold down ctrl to access hotkeys. Holding down a g-key for movement, then hitting Ctrl+ any other g-key will result in the first key being 'stuck' until you press it again. That's more of an issue with the keyboard's drivers from what I can tell, but it also exposed another problem: when hitting Ctrl+A, a message comes up that says "Ambience On/Off", and I don't see an option anywhere in the key bindings menu to unmap this shortcut. So any time I'm using a lot of abilities bound to Ctrl and trying to move at the same time, I end up with that message if the timing is off at all. Ideally I'd like to see an option to at least remap some of those secondary Ctrl based shortcuts, and possibly an option to make the wasd keys (or any others) completely ignore any modifier keys that are held down. I'm sure anyone who likes to use Ctrl as a hotkey modifier would appreciate it. While that probably won't help with g-keys getting 'stuck' when Ctrl usage is poorly timed, I'm hoping Logitech will come up with their own solution soon.
