  2. These days for PvP or PvE - being a marauder/sent has been seemingly out of the ideal choices for quite some time. (At least since 3.0) I am more or less curious if it's any more or less viable than it was in 3.0.
  3. I understand a lot of marauders seem to be focusing on the anni and carnage side of things yet I have seen zero talk about Fury at all on the forums? Has this spec became a taboo topic lately i.e. don't bother with fury marauders because juggs do it better? Just curious since I understand everyone loves and covets Anni spec (I did myself since 1.0 but I am willing to just move on to try and play my marauder again.) Appreciate "constructive" feedback regarding this, there are plenty of topics elsewhere if people are looking to vent their frustrations about the other specs.

He used to have a sniper rifle in about the beta era between march 2011 and through the summer beta phases, he only got that auto cannon near the end of the beta due to a lot of complaints from republic players saying there was an extreme lack of "Aim" sniper rifles for him to use due to the majority of the sniper rifles being cunning based and mostly found on empire. This only happened because for some reason troopers had to be unique snowflakes and all their companions had to wear aim based armor to have the full trooper squad look. They did not see fit to revise Aric's story either due to the fact the story and voice acting was already done. *Shrug*
  5. I play a marauder so loads of skills isn't an issue given the fact i play the carpal tunnel inducing class . I am taking down the mental notes and greatly appreciate the feedback but still looking for a bit more.
  6. Pretty much in the same boat, i have been looking all over the forums for an answer and all i just find is a wall of QQ, no serious talks about what the changes actually do for the most part. I see mixed messages about the Merc changes, powertechs i am aware that the parakeet build is getting an axe to it, and as for snipers i am noticing a very LARGE amount of changes to them but i am just wondering how significant all the changes are regarding for pvp so i can give a better educated decision on the class i want to play.
  7. They're indirectly nerfing assassins by nerfing the endurance on the DPS gear, if you look at the PTR gear for the battlemaster set for DPS, it is significantly lower than the tank set now. DPS/tankassins are relatively fixed in 1.2 but i'll wait till live before i stick to that judgement.
  8. I am just looking for some informed opinions between 3 classes (acs) i am considering for an alt in the future for an alternative play for pvp. Currently I play a marauder and while i originally started at pre-launch I am looking for a change of pace hence why i am looking at these classes for pvp specificially with their weaknesses well in mind but their strengths as well. Power-tech Mercenary Sniper Now i realize these classes are getting a lot of changes in 1.2 and i am relatively fine with them for the most part as i am more of the adaptable type for any given scenario. I played bounty hunter specs heavily in the beta (was actually one of the only classes i played during the beta to test the heck out of it for polish) Hence why i decided on a whim to play marauder on live cause i wanted to see the sith warrior story line and i got really attached to it for pvp. What i am asking for Of these classes what your opinion is on the classes for what's going for them in 1.2 I ask largely because i am not highly familiar with snipers, and powertechs and mercs have changed quite a bit since when i last played them during beta to what they will be in 1.2 I appreciate any advice that is given in advance Also please give detailed reasonings not X class sucks play this class
  9. You are correct, the beta build before the one around july or august they were two different classes. When they decided to go with the mirroring route in that build they changed troopers to reflect an opposite but similar system to the bounty hunters to differentiate the two but in the end troopers in their original form were scrapped and they were made to be mirrors of bounty hunters as the class i guess was better polished. Gunnery back then was extremely boring, was more based on auto attacks full auto and an ability that no longer exists in the game. But the general gist of the tree was that you were using a BFG and you were just there to mow people down with it. History aside, when i am playing on my trooper it's a lot more "annoying" to manage my resources compared to my bounty hunter as i played the bounty hunter more overall. I personally don't see a difference in the management between the two visually or management wise but i am not looking at the mathmatics. Though it wouldn't surprise me since it's taken the devs a long time just to adjust the animations for full auto and mortar volley, there is a strong possibility that you may be on to something given the fact that these two classes in particular were once VERY different from one another.
