Hello all, Just returned to the game recently and actually trying to get my crafting up on all my characters since I never really got into crafting before when I played years ago. Yes I am aware crafting sucks now and is not worth it, I have read lot about it and how it really isn't worth it but because I play solo mostly and don't know anyone in game and hate asking guild for everything I need I want to be self sufficient. So my question is crew skill bonuses that each companion has back in the day gave bonuses to missions and the crafting skill they were good at. Is this still a thing nowadays on each companion because people on fleet were telling me that as long as you have influence at 50 you will be fine then I had someone tell me that bonuses were a thing. I read the lore log on my current companions and did not see any mention about bonuses. TLDR Is crew bonuses to missions/crafting still a thing or is it strictly infuence now? Can any character learn any type of crew skill without min/maxing? Thank you for any help/feedback

Yep I realize that, with CCs or using credits. I am more interested in buying crates from the market and selling them on GTN, BUT there again is my problem with written above with how to sell them for the value they at now.

Hi all, Just recently returned to the game and was looking through my characters and arranging some characters, items around and decided to make a trip to the GTN to discover the prices are crazy. Now this is coming from someone that played roughly 4 years ago. So I looked up Hypercrates on GTN to see if I could afford one and open it up and maybe snag something rare to sell on the GTN and found there was none for sale. I asked in chat and someone said none are for sale because they sell for billions now which the GTN caps at 1 billion, and aren't worth selling on GTN anymore. So with all this knowledge in hand, for someone like me that would like to buy crates and sell them, what are my options? To use the auction channel? Get on main game discord and sell? And if I would sell using auction channel, what should my asking price be? I want to be fair for market value. How much money can a person hold if the auction house caps selling and buying at 1 billion? Is it the same for characters holding that amount? I have never seen the amount of items being sold for so much in a game before, this is ridiculous tbh. Do you guys think it will eventually stabalize? I play on Satele Shan if anyone is curious. Sorry for all the questions. I guess I shouldn't be surprised based on real world inflation lol. Thank you!

Hi all and Happy New Year, Returned to the game yesterday after being gone for like 6 years and alot has changed and I mean a lot. Really confused on a lot of the content but I am a not unfamiliar with mmos so I know a lot of it is just play and get back into the swing of things again. So I have some questions regarding classes. Are shadows/assassins any good for pve and pvp, like is there any one spec that is universal? I will be doing pve content mostly solo and pvp matches. (No Ranked). I hear stealth makes pve content much faster. Is this still the case? Also other classes I am wondering about is Sent/Mara, Operative, Sniper Gunslinger? I was really interested in commando and mercs but heard their dps is terrible. Basically to end the year out which classes are in good shape for pve solo content, pvp on the side. I have no plans to tank for any groups, heal maybe but no tanking. Also is housing here better than Lotro housing for those that played that game? Thank you! Hmm ok well thanks, I notice some people over in customer service forums experiencing some issues with theirs but there is no fixes or solutions, I have a great computer that can run anything on the market max settings not to mention this computer played swtor before with never a issue. I guess I will just reinstall and see what happens. Thanks

Hey all, so yea I am trying to activate my account tonight, installed like normal, installation went successful as usual and after I installed with the last disk, I rebooted my machine and clicked on star wars launcher and it put my info in as needed and its saying in red bar at top of log in screen " Server not responding." Is anyone else experiencing this, and what should I do? I suspect the servers are overloaded because today being the 18th and all lol. Suggestions? Thanks!

Ok thanks for the clarification guys, yea I was looking on Dulfy for the first time tonight and was seeing that the bundles might be a better idea because your pretty much getting just decor.....but at least I know now how the crates cycle through the CM so thanks for that. Yea I will look around on Harbinger for like minded guilds. Thanks for the help!

Hello, I just came back to the game rather recently and noticed the game has changed quite a bit. The one thing Swtor is doing that every game I played fell short on is the housing. Its wonderful and probably my favorite thing to do. Question is, I play on Harbinger and before I post on that server, would it make sense to advertise for a guild or a small group of people that play the game just for the housing aspect of it? What I mean is run FP and areas where you would get Decors, hold parties and social gatherings at each other's SH and have people decorate etc? A guild that likes to play the game and all it offers but revolves around the SH part of it? I just wanted to ask here if I would be laughed at or it just doesn't make sense, because doing Ops (raids) I just don't have time to do that right now and want to mainly play at my pace for the limited amount of time I do have. My other question is I was interested in buying the Gatekeeper's Hypercrate and get a bunch of decors from it but I noticed that it is not on the CM atm. Does this mean it doesn't or won't ever exist or is it simply a process of waiting for them to put it back on the CM at a later date? I realize that I can buy bundles and individual pieces from the GTN but I was't sure how the CM did Hypercrates is all. Thanks for any help!

The Crime Lords Cartel Packs still have the Holo trainers in it anyone know for sure? It says so in the collections on game, I just want to know for a fact that they do still have them in it since those are really what I am after atm. I don't mind gambling for them and not getting what I want but gambling for something that don't exist would make me mad lol. BTW I will be purchasing the Crate and not individual packs for my first time around. No I don't have 2.5 million to get off the GTN else I would go that route. I just came back to the game so I am kinda poor. I also see that the statues can come from the Black Market packs as well, that still the case? Thanks for any help!

Not exactly a new player but its been awhile since I played last, and I have lots of characters in the 20s and 30s and I want to get my guardian up to 55 with the xp boost. My question is there anyway to somehow go back and watch the story so far for your character and get caught up to where your character is currently? I don't mean replay it, I mean like just watch it? Some feature in game or is there some website I can go to for that? This is important for me so I can feel connected to my character. Thanks for any help!!

Yea I pretty much decided I am going with windows 8.1, but what exact version do I need to purchase? 8.1 Professional, HP, OEM 32/64 bit or just 64 bit? Help me choose, like I said this is primarily a gaming computer, with burning music, you tubing, maybe some streaming eventually, browsing the internet......just general use. The guy that helped me build this online selected Microsoft Windows 8.1 32/64 bit. Will that be ok? So I should just drop the OS from online and buy from retail store then?

Ok thanks MeNaCe and Jediquaker, everyone else I will post back in a week or 2 with updates, I went ahead and took your advice and made my memory 2x 4GB same brand and all. OS I am mixed, I kinda like how 8.1 look better than 7, been going out seeing for myself in stores and watching you tube videos. Now that's coming from a guy that still uses Vista, never used anything newer......yea I know that is sad lol. I got a cheaper Power supply as well to lower my price some. As it stands now I am about 1440$, mail in rebates will reduce that to 1380$ some. The Ms.2 thing regarding SSD JediQuaker was talking about, I can't even fathom why I would need anything faster than what I have, simply because I never owned a computer that used a standard SSD. These SSD are completely new to me and all I read is how they just make your computer fast all around. This MS.2 thing your talking about, I don't even know if I would really need it. I mean how much better is it really? If I concluded that I would want it, I am not even sure I could afford it in my budget. The other components I am happy with, still sticking with the i7, pretty happy with my 2 changes, on PSU and Memory, but I assure you if I can fit any of what you advised me such as more RAM and a higher (256) SSD or perhaps this PCI M2 , I will do that, my money situation could change at the last minute. Regarding your post from above JediQuaker I chose the i7 over the i5 because I wanted something that would be future proofing me for a long time. I understand that HT won't do me any good but if it will benefit me down the road then I would be happier knowing I have it now rather than later. As far as the SSD, I really wanted to make a SSD 256 gig and I may end up doing just that before its said and done but at the time of getting this together it did not fit into my budget. I mean a 120 GB would be fine for OS and installing few games on it wouldn't it? I am not a guy that keeps 20+ games on my machine at once, at most I have 3 or 4. The memory is another area you hit on that concerns me, I had originally went with 16GB but yet again could not fit that in my budget but the people I talked to said 8 GB would be fine. Your saying it would be slower with 8GB, how much slower are we talking about here because your scaring me lol. Its not like I can't add another stick next year this time, could you explain little more in depth on that? The PSU is definitely more than I need but we had talked about going dual cards down the road and its something I very much would like to do, also that is why I chose such a monster case for it, the case is so awesome. Anyways thank you for the post, I am very interested in feedback, because I need it. This new computer won't be purchased for at least another 3 weeks so there is alot of time for adjustments

Tell me what you think it will do to swtor......Will I lag around fleet, most specifically the GTN area, load into planets 2 min later, lag and stutter with 10-20 FPS in Warzones? Basically I have a budget of 1200 to 1400 dollars. I been told that if you want a good computer to build it yourself, because I have always went the route of buying off Ibuypower.com or some other retail store. I need this computer to obviously play mmos and other graphically enhanced games that are coming out in the future, such as Fallout 4, Everquest Next etc, as well as current games that I love that I can't enjoy such as swtor and Dragon Age Inquisition, BF games. More to the point of the computer though, I want to build something from Pc partpicker and once I get the parts I will have them assembled. Thinking of an I7 because I am trying to future proof myself and I know that I7 are not really going to do me good but if I could fit it in my budget I would rather do that, the ram, 8gigs of DDR3 Ram, 500 watt PS, not sure on hard drive but I was looking into SSD but never used one before. (Hear SSD is the way to go for games)? Not sure on MB or graphics card. TLDR: Can I get a new computer buying the parts myself that will rock this game because my load times suck and the lag is horrible and play other games upcoming on the market with a budget of 1200.00-1400.00. Is this even possible or will I have to drop 2 or 3 grand on a powerhouse? Thanks

Hi guys, So I been back in the game for couple months now, really excited for GSH, pretty much what brought me back to the game but since I am rather on the poor side of market (currently have about 1.5 mil credits to my name), I was wondering when would a good time to buy CC be with upcoming GSH update? I have 40.00 dollars to spend on the 5500 CC option that's on the store but do you guys know if that would decrease or increase anytime soon? I am mainly going to be using the CC as I need them not using them all at once on unlocking rooms. I just want to get the most CC for my money. This is the first time I have ever bought any CC so kinda new to it. Think they would have a better offer after GSH? Additionally I am thinking of buying the CC just to buy a Hypercrate and sell it for big money on the GTN, would this be a better option to make quick cash? I was thinking of buying the Hypercrate: Club Verticas Nightlife for 4536 CC. The only craft I have worth mentioning is CT and its at 395 atm, and really I am trying to get my schematics in place pretty much for myself and alts so not really selling anything atm. All my other characters have slicing and Bio Ana but my highest character right now is 32 so not like dailys are an option either. So what do you guys think, buy a Hypercrate and sell it for profit or wait for a better CC deal and get the most I can, or is 39.99 for 5500 best I am going to get ? Thanks
