  1. Ahahaha - great business strategy.

Let's give away the good part of the game - the voiced storyline - away for free and charge for the crappy part - the ops that nobody really likes.

Game is so screwed it's not even funny.

I'd pay them to remove VO from side missions :D

  2. This is what I thought. I was reading people saying you need more ram and I was thinking that wouldn't make any difference. Is that correct?

Swtor runs two 32bit processes, each able to use 2GB of RAM (someone correct me on this one), so i suppose 4GB of RAM just for swtor should be enough (though, i doubt it'd ever use whole 4GB), meaning 6-8GB is more than enough for swtor and all other processes.

  3. even on a ssd its slow its like a console game loading all the assets for each place u go to

When you need buying an SSD or create a RAMDisk just to make a game load "potentially" faster, one should really ask him/her self, is it really worth it and why in the hell should I, as an end customer, even do that.?

  4. On average yes. Ok maybe some times it can take 20 but so freaking what?

Maybe you people shouldn't be running computers with the minimum amount of RAM.

    16 GB myself.

    Is it 10 or 20?

This is not the first thread where a guy states it's loading time to be pretty low, just to be making a post later on saying: "Well you know, it's average".

    On topic:

I haven't measured loading times, but i do know they're mostly over a minute. Balmorra, however is pretty fast for some reason.

  5. I'm surviving just fine on all my characters using just 2 quickbars, including my sentinel. However my gunslinger definately suffers from way too many abilities that are used often, even though he is level 33.

I don't think i even use a full bar of skill on my gunslinger O_o

I mean, i rotate the same 7 or so skills all the time, the other ones are just useless.

  6. Phoning in a quest completion seems alright, but how are they supposed to give you your item rewards over holo? Choosing it and them having to hunt down a mail box out in the wild, or are we just going to hand wave that too?

    Laziness.

Dude, we have a "spawning out of thin air mounts", carrying around a minimum of 50 pieces of gear and other sh*t with no visible bag or anything whatsoever, companions popping out of nowhere at your request... and you worry about the way quest rewards would be handled?

Laziness? No, just a little thing to consider if nothing than as another multi-million credit legacy perk since we already have perks that have no logical connection to the word "Legacy".

  7. What's wrong with using holonet to "deliver" a quest?

As it stands now, it's pretty pointless in it's current state.

Travelling goes way too fast...I remember playing another mmorpg where you had to wait for a ship to arrive, walk 20 minutes and take a flight just to travel between different cities, I kinda miss it :(

It's just more realisitc if travelling times take longer, I mean you don't just teleport yourself to work in real life, do you?

Well you certainly don't summon a speeder out of you *** in real life either.

  8. There is not much you can do about it in an MMO, especially if a developer is not ready for innovation.

I myself thought that at least class missions/story would be enough to have me entertained, but no, those are VERY diluted by all those generic "kill x of y" missions, that at some point i stopped caring and actually forgot what was the main story.

They said that this was kotor 3,4,5.....and it is, if you talk about play time and not enjoyment.

  9. 1) Dead, uninteresting, static, empty, bland.... world. I seriously can't stress enough how, for me, bad this is. I was unfortunate to start at Ord Mantell, the ugliest of them all, and that one really burned me.

    2) Very, VERY bad game engine and game optimization in general. It's a real downer to buy a new graphics card just to see it being kicked in the balls by this kind of game.

    3) Dead server, which leads to bigger problems like empty GTN, no grouping, no socialization... I really miss chat trolling and those stupid but funny jokes you get to see in general in other mmos.

    4) Fight, fight, fight, travel, fight, fight, fight, travel, sell things, fight, fight, fight. I'm sick of it

    5) I don't feel immersed in the story/world at all. Most sidequests (including planet/class) are sugarcoated "Go there and scan that, and while you're at it, kill half the map worth of trash mobs". It gets tedious at some point, and since there is nothing else constructive to do...
