  1. Well, SWTOR's WAY too instanced. It should be more free, less linear and bigger. Also, space combat on rails? Please, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard; You CAN'T make a Star Wars MMO with on rails space... Space is HALF of SW for gods sake.
  2. What? What did you watch/read? Cause I remember both Jango and Boba got their asses kicked, and it was only due to special circumstances that they even survived.

Does that change the fact that Boba nearly killed Vader? He landed a blasterbolt in his FOREHEAD. Does that NOT count ?

And no ****, special circumstances. That's what I've been telling you all along ; Circumstances DO count !

  3. Opinions. Fact is, one can never know. Besides, there are THOUSANDS of variables to consider in ANY <insert name here> VS <insert name here> in the Star Wars universe.

For the Jawa's sake, Boba Fett could've killed Vader once. Doesn't make him more powerful, now does it? Jango Fett had the upperhand on Kenobi, and was beating him too. Does that make Jango more powerful than Kenobi ? Nope, it doesn't. You must consider the variables at play in any given matchup, and THAT'S what you (The canon-club) cannot for the life of you understand. Manchester United is technically the "best" football team in the world, does that mean they will beat ANY team, EVERY time? Nope, history has taugth us that much. Same rules apply here.

  4. SWG was WAY Better in EVERY way. I love that sandbox. SWTOR is just an instanced P2W nowadays, which SUCKS because it's got potential. If only EA could be erased from the picture, and BioWare gets some new blood that knows how a true MMO should work, then they might be immense.
  5. Why is it people always have to exadurate it when Revan loses?

There are several not-so-great people who fought Vader and didn't TOTALLY get mauled like Luke from ESB and then there's Ferus Olin. Heck, Ferus Olin was beating (if I remember correctly) Vader at one point. I'm not saying Revan would beat Vader, but I think he'd give him a close fight for sure. Just look at what he did to Nyriss.

Heck, even Boba Fett beat Vader at one point......

  6. What does it really matter anyway? Vader and Lift more than Revan, while Revan can actually Do More than Vader. Vader only has a handful of abilities he can use. Revan has a truckload, because he's using both sides of the Force equally.

I will always say Revan for my own reasons. For one, it having to take a Psuedo-Vader (The Wrath), Darth Nox, Ciper Nine and (presumably) the next Mandalore, to defeat a still weakened Revan on the Foundry. People can claim "We don't know who he faced" well, it's basic Story Logic. FP's require 4 people. There are 4 classes, 4 stories. Having multiple of the same class in a FP is a Mechanic. The story is different. Storywise, one from each of the 4 classes would be in the Foundry.

So we have a Dartk Council member, the Emperor's private enforcer, the most skilled Agent in the Empire, and probably the most skilled and battle-hardened Mandalorian in the galaxy next to Mandalore himself. It took the four of them to overcome a weakened Revan. And we're still as of yet unaware if Revan was actually killed.

Don't bother explaining, I know what you mean. The canon-club won't, EVER.

  7. TBH I've never seen P2W on a scale such as SWTOR's, and I'm laughing at BW and EA for their greedyness. Just because your game is tanking, doesn't mean you have to make it p2w.
  8. The talk of a characters potential has always been rather meaningless to me. Given enough time, any Force User could become as powerful, if not moreso, than Vader or Sidious. Vader's was claimed as 2x Sid's. Revan's in KotoR was said to be unlimited. If we went by such statements, then technically Revan could become the most powerful Force User ever, if he'd had the time to continue building power.

Haha, you just opened Pandora's box.. Here comes the fanboy's "canon-rant" =P

  9. I assume that there is no point of playing swtor than, since i hate p2w.

I've never seen Pay2Win on such a scale as SWTOR right now. It's ridiculous, and I guess it's ONLY EA's fault since they're so god damn greedy. Ruins the game, really. Friend of mine is laughing right now, because he just came back to the game and can't do ANYTHING without spending money.

  10. I know I shouldn't even get involved in this but I'm going to say Vader. I'm going to repeat what I said on another thread that probably works for this debate too. Revan is often an over-rated character. While he was powerful he wasn't as powerful as some choose to believe. I think that the people that say Revan would win anything just think "Hey, I played a game as this guy and owned, he must be super powerful!" The same thing often happens when people debate about Starkiller, AKA Galen Marek when people bring up the whole Star Destroyer falling from the sky thing.

And yet, Galen beat Vader... Hmmm...

  11. Sure why not:

    1. They'v got Sith. Lots of 'em. They're excellent fighters AND leaders.

    2. They've got 60%-50% of the galaxy. May not be as big as the GE's, but they've been making ships for a thousand years.

    3. They've got VItiate who can brainwash people with ease.

    4. They've got veteran soldiers due to the Great Galactic War which lasted 28 years I believe.

    5. They've got plenty of war droids and super soldiers such as the Power Guard.

    6. Vitaite is excellent at corrupting governments. He prooved this at the begining of the Great Galactic War. (watch the Onslaught of the Empire timeline for proof)

    7. There intelligence is beast due to people like Cipher Nine.

    8. Dread Masters.

    9. Dark Council.

    There you have it.

Certainly not pushovers, that's a VERY credible list.

  12. Beside the Jedi Code , i will teach him to confront his fears:

    "I must not fear.

    Fear is the mind-killer.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

    I will face my fear.

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing......Only I will remain."

( Dune- Litany Against Fear )

Fear can save your life more than once. Fear is strenght.

  13. Big error here, Vitiate is the most emotionless, uncaring Sith Lord who ever existed (OK so maybe we give Nihilus that one) He want to destroy the ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!! and then do it again! and again! He destroyed an entire planet and planned to do the same on a galatic scale. Vitiate would blow up Yavin 4 in his sleep. (if he could) He'd destroy the entire universe to win.

But anyway, seeing as both Empires are at the height of their powers, Vitiate does not suffer from in fighting - this is Vitiate at the helm everyone fears him Sith Empire. Oh and may I mention, Vititate as his own Imperial Guard, to counter Sidious.

IMO Vitiate's Sith slam into the Empire like a sledgehammer - I mean did you see how the 501st fared against the Ewoks? How the hell are they gonna beat the Sith? I say they lose most , if not all, ground battles. But thats my opinion - feel free to attack it. :p

+ Vitiate's Empire had the Dark Council, twelve of the most powerful sith lords of that age, second ONLY to The Emperor. (Darth Jadus was rumoured to almost be as powerful as Vitiate himself.)

This must surely count for a little more than the 501st and such? =)
