  1. sarcasm never translates well on the internet
  2. There was also a poll that said that 100% of the 80% of the people who did not want lfd actually did want it, but didn't want to admit to it for fear of being told to go back to wow.
  3. Deal with afkers? I've got a better idea, since this seems to be the general attitude I'm gonna be one I can get my pvp gear easier. Thank god this game is ezmode.
  4. The problem is that 6 months - 1 year down the road all of the low level flashpoints will be dead and new players will have even more difficulty finding a group then people are having now. They could get someone to run them through it, but that ruins the whole point of it. The way I see it is BW spent a lot of time and money making all the flashpoints so they will implement some form of a dungeon finder so people don't skip the content entirely.
  5. Not really sure what you're trying to say here. Is the game too much like wow because they aren't doing anything about afkers, or are you saying that op needs to go back to wow because of them?
  6. At first I didn't understand the hate towards huttball, it was new and different to me. After almost an entire day of nothing but huttball I never want to play it again. I can't bring myself to queue up of pvp because of how often it comes up. Now on the off chance that I do queue up and get it, I just quit out.
  7. It's funny how ANY changes to the game makes it more like wow. Better not make any expansions because then it would be ezmode like wow.
  8. I say we just agree to disagree, since clearly the devs don't even know what they want.
  9. AGAIN sir, you are wrong. Q: Since it has been clearly stated that there will not be dual specs for characters in the game, can you explain your philosophy behind the skill trees and how you are taking into account players that want to be able to play PvP and PvE content on the same character? - illumineart A: Dual Speccing is something we want to add soon after launch. Also, features like Guard, PvP Taunt, Resolve, etc. work to narrow the gap between PvP and PvE specialized skills (i.e. a +Block skill would be helpful in both PvE and PvP). http://www.swtor.com/news/news-article/20110916
  10. That's funny, BW have ALREADY stated LFD IS being added. "IGN: Moving forward might there be something like a group finder or something like that? An auto-finder implemented into the game?" "James Ohlen: Some people ask for a dungeon finder system but the thing about those systems is they're really for more of a mature online game. If you put a system in early on it really takes away from the exploration of the level up game. If you have people all just basically waiting around their dungeon finder and all being grouped up together, they're going to actually take the time to explore all the worlds that are available in the Old Republic galaxy. So it's definitely a feature that we want to put in, we just want to put it in at the right time. However, the looking for group feature is something that we continue to work on, we want to make that more robust and more powerful. " http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1214438p1.html I know, I know. It hurts to be wrong.
  11. One thing I have trouble understanding is why someone needs to "go back to WOW" just because they want a new game to have standard features. If anything all the oldschool players need to go back to EQ where they never have to worry about dual speccing, lfd, or fun. It's like buying a car and not wanting airbags or seat belts because they didn't have them back in the good old days.
