Has anyone thought about implementing a modified RNG into SWTOR? Such a RNG would have a backup percentage which would cause auto-criticals or succussful RE's after a certain amount of tries. For example, a normal chance to reverse engineer a mod may be 20%. But if the RNG demon is being particularly nasty it could take 15-20 tries before a success. But if there was a backup percentage that guaranteed a 10% chance, then upon the 10th try there would be an automatic success or critical if there had been no success to that point.
Such a system wouldn't be very difficult to implement. The backup percentage would reset upon any crit or success. It would require the system to track the number of failures for each crafting attempt, but that amount of data would be fairly small.
The advantage of such a system would be to assure players that their crafting is indeed working and would prevent the RNG devils from getting out of hand at times.
