Thanks to all the replies and suggestions. Havent played for 2 weeks now, and probably will just let the sub run out. Not too upset about the money, its cheap anyway, just upset that the game isn't what I had hoped for. Yes, what I was looking for was a more engaging and challenging RPG type experience. As I inferred, I am a completionist and an explorer, who enjoyed the entire levelling experience in the vanilla game. I realise this probably puts me in the minority. I certainly cannot stomach auto-piloting or face-rolling through games. Cheers to all who still play. Enjoy.

I'd have to get to 70 first i guess .. up to 61 or so now. I had hoped to play through from lvl 1 but it was just boring. I always preferred the levelling/solo element of MMos to the end-game raiding, time constraints etc. But I guess I am in the minority.

I did scan the patch notes, and the two or three expansions i missed, but I am kicking myself now for buying into the marketing material and not having done deeper research into player experience. You are quite right . I was completely taken aback by the total lack of "game" or challenge even in the new content, and worse, how the awesome levelling systems has been dumbed down. Quests I loved on the starting planets dont even exist anymore, and just running through the main story lines on a new sniper toon had me on level 12 before i even finished Hutta. It was a joke. Not a funny one though.

Hi Bioware, I am a Founder, subscriber from the launch of SWTOR. Absolutely loved it back then. had four level 55s and participated extensively in operations. Took a year plus break from the game, and during this holidays decided to return for a bit of fun (after watching Rogue One). So I bought a 60 day subscription to not have to deal with the preferred status BS and resurrected my old characters. SERIOUS MISTAKE! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!? YOU HAVE SERIOUSLY F'D UP THE GAME!!!!! I am so disappointed. Even though I totally forgot how to play, I can run through content ignoring everything and leaving my companion to mop everything up. I never even bother with heals. Just set them to DPS or tank mode and then play on autopilot. i found myself soloing H2 and H4s without ever having to heal or slow down!!! There is absolutely ZERO challenge to the game. Its not even a game anymore. Its just a slow unfolding story with lots of boring maps and content to run through and largely ignore. It used to be fun exploring the maps, doing the sidequests, experiencing the world. Lots of other aspects also bother me now (the skill point system is lame) but the easy mode combat is the worst. you can even solo flashpoints now. ***. Can I have my subscription back? And seriously, FIRE WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A GAME.

Kudos to Bioware for making it really hard to make Dark Side choices. I started a character with the intent of playing dark side, but the way quests are written, you have to be a real grade-a a-hole to consistently make the dark side choice. I have found myself making many more light side choices than I planned to. I just don't have the evil in me. But I will try harder .... must ... be ... evil ..... Also, the bounty hunter dialogue is EXACTLY what I wanted from my bounty hunter. I have heard people say smuggler has the best lines, but haven't played one yet. Man, to have more time.
