  1. I'm creating this discussion in regards to the new update of the Light vs Dark content coming into Star Wars: The Old Republic. This update applies to new characters created; essentially starting the grind all over from what we've done in previous years playing this game. As for existing characters, this content, quite literally, gives them nothing. They are not eligiable to earn any of the packs, rewards, title, or achievements that this new content brings to the game. I'm pointing this out because, as a player since Star Wars: The Old Republic first came out, I find this rather insulting. For all its ups and downs, I genuinely do enjoy playing this game; and I remember back when I was making my first character, a Sith Warrior, and absolutely loving the story, the gameplay, and the community itself. And the expansions that came with it made me enjoy the game even more. But with this content.... all the work I've done in the game with pervious characters just seems completely invalid. It took me quite the time balancing playing SWTOR, working, going to school, etc while experiencing all of the character classes. And now we, quite literally, have to start all over again? I do not see the sense in making content that you have to play by quite literally staring all over. There's no incentive for me to do it. As SWTOR is approaching its anniversary, again, I want it to be known that I've enjoyed playing SWTOR and I hope I continue to as well. But this content I flat out do not like. Its nothing like Makeb, or Rise of Revan, or the new operations or new planets and areas that Bioware gave us. Its like a reset button and playing the same content over again. I know Bioware is better and more creative than this. They've shown it time and time again. At the very least, give existing characters something to work for with this content, because I just do not see the appeal in starting all over again. I do not say this in anger, or spite. I say this as a genuinely concerned player who, after talking among quite a lot of fans in the SWTOR community who feel the same way. Whether this reaches the Bioware staff or whoever reads these, or if it even does, I doubt it. But I at least wanted to voice my concerns, because I do genuinely appreciate what Bioware brings to the table and what they can create. I hope this can be heared within the community Devroqen
  2. You aren't alone in that feeling. I wanted him dead. Period. If it wasn't for the fact he's the only healer you got.... at least you got to torture him if you picked it, though I agree, I would have killed him then and there.

  4. For me, the Sith Warrior romance story with Vette was excellently well written, especially if you did what I did, make a Dark Side Sith Warrior and romance Vette. It is a WHOLE different storyline, and much better in my opinion than romancing her as a Sith Warrior who leans to the.... light... yuck . Anyway, the main point is that it definetly shows that while my Sith Warrior is a proud Sith of the Empire, Vette sees the nice side only she's permitted to see, and she appreciates it. Example, when you tell Vette not to seek vegeance against the Hutt who enslaved her mother, and after she "thanks" you for saving her life, you respond if you're Dark "I wasn't about anything bad happen to MY girl", and Vette says she likes the sound of that. So for me, the sheer fact that there is whole different dialogue between a Sith Warrior and Vette romance makes it, to me, the best.
