  1. So... you really didnt know how much people were on Jung Ma and lie about that 55%.

After that, you took one sample in a "peak" day.

Really, this guy must read a statistics book... not mention he "likes" to tell "the future true"

Don't know who you are but looking forward to meeting you.

Please be sure to be accurate in your information and conjectures, as you are incorrect about the "peak day" statement. There were four days, one on each tab.

Not sure what your last statement means but I only understand Basic.

  2. Actually, 12 samples on 4 days: the other 3 days are on different tabs.

The number of members though may be very incorrect. And not all of those guilds are members and a vast majority of those guilds do not participate in JMHC.

In regards to numbers, on the spreadsheet those in yellow are those who did NOT attend the last meeting and/or have not replied to e-mails.

In regards to the "membership", those guilds in green (besides our one guest, Waide from <Spectre> and your guild) were all represented there in our meeting the other night and are part of the JMHC.

  3. So...over the past few nights I was on this week, Sunday through Wednesday, I went around to all major planets on Republic side:

    Fleet

    Coruscant

    Tython

    Ord Mantell

    Nar Shadaa

    Alderaan

    Corellia

    Oricon

    Tatooine

Each night I recorded the amount of people who were on each planet. I did a sampling at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm (what I consider to be "peak" hours). Additionally, because of the implementation of 2.8, I figured our server pop would increase and give us the best "sample".

Here is the link to the Google Doc/Spreadsheet I made:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lN0UOsjRcxMyE0yogd6f_ro0Dzmt1CyvGpZIgA1UhqE/pubhtml

This accounts for these four days I sampled. I plan to do this at random. I do realize their may be more players during the weekends, but I feel this is, again, a good sampling.

Based off these numbers and the guilds who joined Wednesday night; I can say within a 5% MOE (margin of error) that the number 55% is a feasible number.

Also take into consideration of active players that each guild reports that is has. At the most peak times we around 170-180+ active players on Republic players. I know

    <The Guardians> run around 28-30,

    <Systems Commonwealth> runs between 18-22,

    <Axios Initiative> runs between 10-15,

    <Warriors Wolf Pack> runs between 14-18,

    <Jedi Coven> runs between 10-15,

    <Wraith Battalian> runs between 10-15,

    <Remnants of Hope> run 15-20+,

    <Knights of Sokan> run 20-25+,

    <REGULATORS> 10-15,

    <Shots Fired> 10-15,

    <Galactic Slave Trade Company> runs 10-15, etc.

    <Republic's Hammer> 8-12

    <Penumbral> 10-15

    <Coruscant Guard> 10-20

JUST with these, using the lower number, that is 183 members. Using the higher amount is: 252.

Now that is just the "active" guilds. We aren't including Fellowship of Ancients, Knights of the Old Code and 7 other guilds who didn't show for the most recent meeting.

Wanted to give you a clear answer to your question :)

    Thanks!

P.S. Crinn's Guide to the Galaxy had similar numbers, but had the author's name as Mr. McSnarkyPants :)

  4. Thanks Luniara for your feedback.

The meeting was great and I'm glad we had resistance on some issues so we could have varying opinions and make the process more whole, using the varying perspectives.

July 9, 2014 is the next meeting date. 9PM EST. Coruscant Senate Building.

Would like to have <Coruscant Guard> on duty if they could have 2+ folks available :)

  5. I would love to hear how you came up with that particular number.

I pulled it from your encyclopedia of "Crinn's Guide to the Galaxy". The number 42 was taken and had a picture of you beside it. So I randomly chose 55. :)

  6. Below are the guilds represented in the JMHC. Additionally here is their point of contact. Each of these guilds officer unique game-play experiences for their members. A special thank to each of our members for making this possible.

  7. First off:

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=744448

Please read Luniara post from today. If someone was skeptical beforehand, they can be "less" skeptical now. I appreciated her efforts and <Penumbral>'s.

We inducted several new guilds into the JMHC. <Galactic Slave Trade Company>, <Jedi Coven>, <Axios Initiative>, <WARRIORS WOLF PACK>, <Republic's Hammer>, <Coruscant Guard>, <Verus Scientia> and <Coordinating Confusion>. This brings our membership to 21 guilds. Additionally we now represent over 55% of the server's population of active players.

That being said, here are a couple of things you should know that we voted on:

The JMHC chat channel (/cjoin jmhc) was created and will be restricted to only representatives to the Council and its member guilds' leadership. That means that a "member" of <Insert Guild>, may not use this channel. This limits talking in the channel and topics of conversation.

We voted that the JMHC channel will only be used for: RP, wPvP coordination, recruiting guilds (NOT individuals) into the JMHC (up to 30 guilds max.), and social/political talk among other guild leadership.

We voted to use a pre-existing ops channel: ./cjoin Raids for pug'ing for ops/fps. This channel has been around for more than a year and is being used by over half of the guilds on our server.

We voted to use a pre-existing ranked PvP channel: /cjoin ranked for finding ranked pvp groups. This channel has been around since Season 1 and doesn't get a lot of activity, but it will be used by our member guilds for finding ranked groups. We also agreed that we will use the /2 channel to do unranked or normal pvp.

We voted that <Shots Fired> will work with <REGULATORS> create PvP teams and benchmarks.

We had several non-JMHC members attend and also hop in Mumble last night for a total of 27 people on our voice server. Thank you our leadership team; Barnaby, Jiraxis, and Mad for allowing me to do this.

Overall great meeting and looking forward to July 9th's meeting as well. We will be creating our PvP/PvE raiding schedule roster until that time and will open up the database for distribution to member guilds.

  8. There will be "motions" and people "calling things to order" and probably a lot of ego-fluffing. Overall, an interminable discussion of "why we are better than the people who are not here" where nothing actually gets accomplished.

Eventually, the OP will start comparing himself to Winston Churchill.

At some point after that, there will be a schism, and Jung Ma may be unfortunate enough to have two of these "High Councils of Useless Bureaucracy".

Id just skip it, you wont be missing much.

Thank you for posting. This means you will be in attendance? have a terrific day :)

  9. Where are all the west coast guilds? My girl and I are looking for an active polite west coast, PST guild that is actively/regularly running ops, flashpoints etc so we can begin to attain some of the higher end gear, and experience upper tier content. We are able to attend consistently. Neimfeltrite / Girlypowroar

Axios Initiative starts running ops around 10:30pm EST / 7:30pm PST. They would be your best bet. Loyalla is my contact there, she is GM. Thanks! They are a great guild :)

  10. Now that I am no longer on my phone and officially home from vacation...

Might I ask why we aren't releasing this important information to others? I mean, this is for JungMA, am I right? Why are we withholding information to the very server we are attempting to bring together? Is that not...secluding everyone? I'd like to add that many of these faces that are posting in here are super prominent members of JungMA and some of our most active and our best. I still plan on attending, of course, if not just to see what in the world is going on...BUT the fact still remains that giving out minuscule information such as what guilds are participating is ludicrous.

Thank you for your input. Good that you will in attendance. You will get your info then. Thanks Lun.

  11. June 11th, 9pmEST @ Gav Daragon will be our next meeting. Any guilds interested, please contact me beforehand so I can add you to the induction list.

Additionally, I am honored we have acquired so many trolls. If you ever feel the need to actually want to speak with me, I would be more than happy to respectfully talk with you on your voice server or would cordially invite you to <The Guardians> server. I know you are taking time away from your busy lives to pay this topic attention, which is making it one of the most viewed threads on our server's forum. Again thank you.

    Have a great day!

  12. This thread escalated!

    Question:

Can we see a list of all guilds you have participating?

As stated before, become a member and you will have access. Glad you made it back safe Lun.

  13. And maybe how many times he tries to swallow his own foot...

Well, since you don't know me, you have no clue I only have one real foot. The other is prosthetic.

Makes it easier though to detach and insert into mouth sometimes though...only real draw back.

  14. Quiet you, I want to see how far the OP tries to go before he figures that out.

Far enough...two more guilds joined today. Over 200 + active players. Now the plan is to delegate out just enough responsibility so no one guild feels over-burdened.

I can't wait to see you whisper me sometime and ask to join :)

  15. Below is the link to the June 11, 2014 9PM EST/ 8PM CST agenda:

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jEsqaiJ4Hn4W5Goory3w1U7zi_dZZBKuqkRaDxeyYQc/pub

If you want to become a member, please attend and we will induct. We currently have eleven guilds participating. At this point this is Republic guilds only. This is simply because I don't have time to organize Imp side. However when a wPvP or RP event comes up; we will make a forum thread here with invitation.

May the Force Be With You!
