  1. Not at all, I just don't expect more from something that is intially in place to help with my own personal shortcomings. The fact that it's even there is enough for me, but then again, I wash my own clothes, do my own dishes and hoover my own carpets. Life has bigger problems than the customer support in a virtual world for a videogame a few million people play. Just me though, I suppose I have a more acute perspective being in the role myself.

No one is wanting or begging for game hints or that Bioware hand hold people through the game. They are asking for Customer Support to actually provide support to a costumer when a problem arises. No one has said, "I wantz free stuff." However when there is a problem we a game mechanic, billing issue, account issue, hole in the environment, bug in the code, It would be nice for the CS to actually provide some support. Yes the can not immediately fix a bug in the software but they can be there to assist the paying customer on things that can be fixed.

    Example:

If a boss throws you into a wall and you get stuck and /stuck does not work, CS should be able to move you from the wall. You should not get a message an canned robotic message that they understand your pain and then get told to log off and go play another character.

Also there lack of community involvement on their own forums increases the appearance that there is a major disconnect in the CS department.

  2. Bioware is starting to remind me of Bill Clinton. Now are they arguing as to what the definition of next means? They said "next week" on Friday. That implies that it will come out the on the next Sunday to Saturday weekly cycle, which we are currently in. Now SReid is telling people that we will find out next week?

I enjoy this game alot, but Bioware needs to get their act together or people are going to get tired about the games they are playing.

  3. This is the reason they are going to hold Q&A sessions.

I have seen some of these discussion this community has, most of them are not up to the quality to let the Janitor at Bioware respond to, most are not worth the paper they are printed on.

As evidence by this thread, they do post the most recent patch notes, both on the websites and through the launcher.

yes they are on the launcher, and the site but if the forums are supposed to be the place to get SWTOR info it should be posted clearly on the forums. It should also be listed in the Dev tracker. Posting it on the website does not show on the dev tracker.

  4. Are you asking about the patch notes for 1.1.2, released to all the servers during the most recent maintenance? We always release the preliminary notes for a patch on the forums when we move that patch to the Public Test Server (we published the first 1.1.2 notes last Wednesday), and those notes are subject to change from the time we post them until the patch is deployed to all the servers. We usually update the Public Test Server several days before we update all of the servers, and sometimes the notes we post do change from the PTS version. Does this explain what you're seeing?

When you patch the system, why can't you just post the FINAL Patch notes in the general forum? It is not that hard.

  5. I really don't think BW's Devs have a clue what the masses want. Every single change on this issue is worse than the previous.

If the current dev crew can not fix it, they need to bring in someone that can.

Hell this just goes with my overall belief that BWs Customer Service group has failed this game miserably. Go look at the dev tracker. There have been a total of 3 dev posts since 2/3/2012. 3 posts in 4 days. Hell they can't even be bothered to post a link to the patch notes. You have to go to the installer to get the link.

  6. There needs to be more CS/Dev involvement on your official boards. You just pushed a patch yet a dev has not even bothered to post the patch notes to the boards.

It is currently 01.31.2012 11:27 AM (CST) currently, the last dev post was on 01.30.2012 06:58 PM.

Really? There are several days in your dev tracker that have 0 posts for a full day by devs/cs. In a game that is have several issues you would think that BW would be more open and listening/discussing issues with its players.
