  1. I dont refer to the numbers each process takes (e.g. swtor.exe), i refer to the total physical memory usage. To eliminate the influence of virtual memory, i set the virtual memory limit to the lowest value possible (16 MB for me). After rebooting i started swtor and checked memory usage, the physical memory usage was roughly the same 4.6 GB including OS. The number in the process list was still about 3.0-3.5 GB for one of the swtor.exe instances, the other took about 200-300 MB. I rechecked the virtual memory limit and it was still set to 16 MB. You may now say Win7 uses a swap partition, but this partition is for my OS about 100 MB. So i dont see how the numbers in the process list can contain more than 120 MB of virtual memory.
  2. Hmm, my OS needs idle only 836 atm, while antivirus and firewall running (two separate programs). I normally dont use the fancy visual themes of Win 7, but just to see what happens, i activated all of these. My Ram usage jumped to 1.21GB, still antivirus and firewall running. Then i started swtor and Ram usage jumped to 4.7 GB overall. Please explain me, how that "32 bit application" takes so much memory.
  3. Oh ok, i just dream the 3.4 GB swtor takes while running. And the recommended 4 GB of Ram printed on the DvD case are a typo... I dont know what OS you are running but mine doesnt need 2.5 GB for itself...
  4. Not all have the Home-Edition, i use Professional 64bit allowing up to 192 GB of Ram...
  5. Video or it didnt happen sir. I have swtor on my ssd and still it takes almost a minute to enter/leave a planet.
  6. Been there got his t-shirt. Happens to me quite often and with all companions.
  7. All that sounds quite interesting, but if this really is some kind of copy protection, we won't get an answer at all, except for "Stop toying with the client, you will corrupt your installation" or something like that. But we will see...
  8. Mythic has designed DaoC, one of the best RvRvR games ever (imho). Warhammer didnt fail of pvp only, there were some issues with pvp, but mostly the graphics engine and the way worse pve killed the game. If more than 5 players were in 10 meters of eachother there was a fps drop of about 80% (WAR was already running badly enough without that fps drop). They weren't able to fix that in time (took them over a year), so team play was kinda impossible. And to make it worse aoe was king in WAR. I don't understand why mythic is not able to just copy the pvp from DaoC with some improvments, most players would be content with that.
  9. Its really nice at the beginning, cause its something new. But with time you can peek behind that mask and see its the same Kill/Fetch/Talk to X/Y/Z quests like every other mmo. After a while it gets really annoying.
  10. Qft. 5/10 Edit: I already suspended my subscription due to the patch politcs, dont think they'll make it with that order of priorities.
  11. In WAR Guard splits targets received damage and done threat by 50% between Tank and guarded peep. There is no damage reduction involved. In SWToR you have a damage split of 50% plus 5% damage reduction plus -25% threat (of course not useful in pvp). So effectivly you reduce your mates received damage by 55% (i assume its additive), thats really a lot. A good healer and a tank can take on 3-4 peeps alone, depending on level, gear and pvp experience. Tl;dr: Guard is fine atm. Edit: Just to clarify for pvp SWToR guard is more effective than WAR guard (ecept for the range)
  12. Well the resolve bar works, but the immunity mechanic does not. Had it an hour ago in a huttball match, my resolve was almost full, i had the ball and about 15 meters to the touch down zone...i got stunned once, my resolve bar got full, cc wore off i ran on and got stunned again, and then again and then got killed while stunlocked...
