  1. I agree, but there are workarounds in the short term. Invest in the Legacy perks that give more experience from mapping, or class quests. And maybe as an added challenge, the instant you reach the top of the level range of the planet (e.g. reach Level 24 on Nar Shaddaa) abandon all planet quests and just finish the Class quests. That way, you're guaranteed a challenge, since I've found that when you finish all planet quests, you tend to end a planet 1-3 levels above it, making class quests easier. Challenge yourself and stop Nar Shaddaa at L24, ensuring you're a lowly L24 when you start Tatooine.
  2. I disagree, I like the GroupFinder being server-specific. One solution to your problem might be to play out of a server outside of your current time zone. I'm not sure where you are, or when you play, but it might be in your interest to find a server that's located in a time zone where more people play when you do. If you're in North America (East or West) and play at noon, then join a European server, where noon in North America is 5-9pm GMT. If you play in the wee hours of the morning, try an Asia-Pacific server.
  3. I was under the impression that the F2P mechanism allowed players to get up to Level 50, but that end-game content would be more strictly controlled. I'm not sure if they've gone into details on how that would work, but it could mean that Daily Comms would not be easily accessible to F2P gamers. If that is the case, then the mechanism would almost automatically be exclusively for subscribers. And I'm cool with that.
  4. Or put the World Boss in an instanced area. I know that's a bigger fix, since WBs are all in open-world areas, but if it's instanced, then anyone who has the Weekly Mission can enter the instance and kill it. Since it would be based on possession of the Weekly Mission, then that would also force weekly lockouts.
  5. I would support this, caveated that it cost more money. The current monthly rate is what, $14.99 USD? Paying three months at a time reduces that to $13.99 USD/month, and paying 6 months at a time reduces it to $12.99 USD/month. So it's only fair that someone choosing to pay more often, with the explicit logic that they may want to end their subscriptions every other week, should be required to pay more. Call it $15.99 USD/month (or $7.99 USD/15 days).
  6. What about some sort of Class Rival system? You get a Weekly Mission where your goal is to kill (in PVP) a certain number of players of a specific class? Bounty Hunters vs. Smugglers (while they play differently, these are the underworld classes; think Solo vs. Fett). Imperial Agents vs. Troopers (same logic). And then Warriors vs. Knights and Inquisitors vs. Consulars (two sides of the same coin). That would be like a Bounty Board, but instead works for any class, still fits with the lore, and adds a bit more depth to the game. Note that kills would be counted either in open-world PVP, specific PVP areas (Ilum, Outlaw's Den), and Warzones. The rewards would be reasonable, to incentivize players to try it, but not too high, so as not to give undue advantages to players who love Warzones (compared to players who prefer PVE might try Warzones periodically).
  7. I had an idea about new Daily or Weekly quests that we could have. Admittedly, I've only just begun exploring end-game content, but it seems weird that all dailies are on Belsavis, Corellia, and Ilum. Idea: have endgame quests on all planets. There are a few ways to approach this: Instanced areas (or isolated areas like the Corellia Black Hole) where mobs are harder. This would let us have endgame missions on starter worlds. There would be some great storytelling opportunities with endgame dailies on Tython or Korriban, for example. If the area is distinct from the rest of the planet, then in order to get people to all go there, have the daily be one planet per day. By that, I mean that, at midnight, the game randomly selects a planet and says "The special daily missions for today will be on Tatooine", and everyone accessing the quest (on the Fleet or your ship) will be directed to Tatooine. In theory, there would be rotation among all planets. To encourage PVP, the planet selected would be the same on both sides. This could give an opportunity for players to visit the capitals or starter worlds of the other faction without risk of griefing low-level players. If the daily was in a special area of Ord Mantell, then Republic players would use the shuttle (as they would for Corellia), but Imperial players land right in the special high-level zone. This might just introduce a bit more variety. Belsavis, Corellia, and Ilum are great, but every day for a while could get tedious. This would switch it up a bit. Thoughts?
  8. Thank you so much guys! Much appreciated! One thing that was mentioned was getting the Daily Commendation bonus when using the GroupFinder. I did notice that I only get the GroupFinder dailies if all Flashpoints are selected. But I've never clicked a "quest complete/accept reward" button for those. Is it automatic? Do I suddenly have more dailies in my bank because I did a Flashpoint? Or am I missing out? Again, thanks guys!
  9. Be aware though, sometimes the Companion tab isn't there (for me, it sometimes disappears). If you don't see it, click your self tab or ship tab, and it will force all tabs to appear. Tiny bug, never bothered to report it, but it can confuse someone if they can't find how to do it.
  10. Hello all, So I recently got to Level 50, and started playing around with endgame content. But it's all so different from regular gameplay, that I'm not too sure where to begin. I claimed my new/free PVP gear (which I put right on, because almost all stats were better than my old PVE gear, until I can get new stuff for PVE). And I unlocked the dailies on Belsavis and got the quests to open dailies on Ilum and Corellia (are the Corellia ones daily?) Also, I've tried reading some things online about gear (and what gear you need to run Operations). But there's just so much. I keep hearing about Tionese, Columi, and Rakata gear, but what's better than what? So my questions are: 1- When it comes to gear, what progression should I do? What should I work to replace my Recruit gear with, for PVE and PVP (separately, I presume)? 2- My Daily Commendations: is that what I use to buy this gear? Or are there other commendations that I need too? Where do I get those? 3- Can I start doing HM Flashpoints now? Or should I wait until I get a new type of gear? 4- What type of gear should I have before trying story mode Operations? Thank you guys!
  11. I noticed that on my ships (maybe not all of them, but definitely the Sith Warrior/Inquisitor and Trooper ones) there is a door marked "Escape Pod". I tried clicking it, and it said "not available at this time" or something like that. I assumed that the story would eventually require me to abandon ship. But I just finished the SIth Warrior story and didn't have to use it. So what's the Escape Pod used for?
  12. I had a bit of an idea that I'd like to float past people. It involves capital ships for use by your Legacy, that could be used for multiple things, including PVE and PVP combat and Legacy/Guild functionality. 1. What do you mean "Legacy Capital Ship"? When one of your characters reaches Level 50, they can buy a Capital Ship. This ship would be very expensive. Numerous classes would be accessible, including the Thranta-class (Republic) and Gage/Terminus-class (Empire). Numerous other classes could be invented. The ships should not be too big (reserve large capital ships, like Valor-class (Republic) and Harrower-class (Empire) for the Fleet ships and Guild Capital Ships). The ships would be customizable to a certain extent, but based on known designs. The ship would be tied to your Legacy. You would only have one ship for your entire Legacy. Your ship could be visited by any of your characters, and actively used by any 2. What would you do with this ship? Inside Upon visiting your ship, you land in the hangar bay (similar mechanism to an orbital station or spaceport), and enter an instanced area. There would be several places to visit, including the bridge, the engine room, a gun turret, a crew lounge, sickbay, a fighter bay, a storage bay, etc. When you are present at the Capital Ship, you would get a Rest bonus to both XP and to Legacy Points. This would encourage people to, if possible, visit their ship and log off there. Bridge: Would be used to launch capital ship combat missions (see "Outside", below) Engine room: This is where customizations could be implemented/managed Gun turret: A minigame resembling a Tower Defense game Crew lounge: A place for you to hang out with your companions. It would have a Cantina Vendor and a Social Vendor. If other characters in your Legacy logged out on the ship, their companions would be there too. Sickbay: A medical droid would be here. There may be other benefits too. Fighter bay: A minigame similar to current space combat missions OR very similar to the Rogue Squadron games, but where you fly a Fighter instead of your ship. Storage bay: This would serve as a Legacy bank. You can easily put any goods or money into the Legacy Bank and other characters could access it. This would not work with Crafting materials (but you could deposit crafting materials, and have another character transfer it to Personal Ship storage). Outside When you're on the bridge, you can direct the capital ship into combat. Combat would be open-world, resembling the mechanisms used in Star Trek Online or Star Trek: Starfleet Command (enclosed combat area, with many capital ships). You could control the flight of your ship and its weapons (turbolasers and ion cannons) with the keyboard and mouse, or you could put specific companions in charge of specific tasks (Assign Mako to ship repair or shield management, assign Gault to aft weapons, etc.) You can launch fighters, which would act independently, but you can select their targets (the whole squadron would be controlled as one; you could have it attack a capital ship or another fighter squadron). Fighters and bombers would be purchased as part of ship customization. 3. But what if my Legacy includes Republic and Imperial characters? The ship would be of the class of the Level 50 character that buys it. Stats between Republic and Empire designs would be the same, so from a gameplay standpoint it wouldn't matter which side you bought. Characters from both factions would be permitted on your ship. Ostensibly, everyone on your family tree is familiar with each other, and so all might be welcome (even those called Rivals, who might still have respect for one another). That way, when not in combat, you might be able to interact with opposing faction companions in the lounge (have a drink with Kira, Vette, and Mako). A Republic character could take control of an Imperial ship for the purposes of combat. When it control, a clear marking would distinguish that ship as being in control of the opposite faction (a Star Destroyer with a Republic sigil painted on it, to show who controlled it). In theory, it could be said that the opposing faction character briefly commandeered the ship. There might be certain restrictions. If a Republic character commanded an Imperial ship in combat, then he might be able to only use Republic companions (Imperial character companions could be said to have fled, or been briefly put in the brig). 4. How might this work with guilds? When not in combat, your ship might be located in deep space, in a point in any of the "regions" of the Galaxy. But, if the active character is in a Guild, then another point, "Guild Staging Area" might be active. Ships could group there; it would resemble a fleet of smaller ships supporting the large Guild Capital Ship (which players could shuttle to). Anyways, this is a thought I had. I'd love constructive comments, with the aim of improving the idea.
  13. I may have said this previously. If so, I apologize. Bad mid-term memory. The self-heal ability for Sith Inquisitors causes you to pace. That pacing counts as movement, which makes the map transparent. Healing is a good opportunity to consult the map to see where you're going. Making it transparent during healing is a paid. Therefore, I recommend making movement during healing exempt from the "making the map transparent while moving" rule.
  14. Regardless of the minigame (Pazaak, Sabacc, racing, etc.), it should be playable in the iOS app. Let me gain something, be in money, XP, Legacy Points, or rare/unique loot, by playing something on my iPod Touch. Reminiscent of the Pokewalker that came with Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver.
  15. Do yourself a favour though: read Outbound Flight last. Read those in publication order (basically move Outbound Flight to the end). The reason I say that is that there is a mystery in Survivor's Quest that is basically given away in Outbound Flight.
  16. Not all Miraluka have empty sockets or skin over their eyes. Other Miraluka, like Jerec, were said to have eye-like orbs in the sockets that had no pupils or irises (just the white of the eyes). But I don't think there are pics.
  17. Isn't that how the Bonus Series quests work? You do a bunch of quests, and then come back when you're 5-10 levels higher to do more?
  18. Tricks I found: -Don't buy all of the abilities. If you don't think you'll want to use it, then don't pay for it. If you have one that gets ignored, don't pay for the upgrades. And skip Speeder Rank 2, since the boost you'll get is minimal. These will help save money. -Gathering skills. Get four gathering skills, and sell everything you gather. Sell the things that are used a lot for crafting on the GTN (even if it's low or mid level), other stuff just sell to vendors. It's not much, but it adds up.
  19. I seriously wanted to kill Gault. If only because
  20. One thought to consider might be to unlock the Flashpoints you aren't eligible for anymore. I might want to experience the story for low-level Flashpoints that I missed. Or, I might want to do a run-through of a low-level one (like Esseles/Black Talon) for social points. Maybe this might have lower priority, but it should allowed. To prevent problems, maybe have a button that says "only group with level-appropriate players", so if I want to go through the Flashpoint for experience and loot, then I won't be grouped with an L50 and therefore get almost no XP at all.
  21. Thanks guys! It's weird though; I don't think I got one for finishing Chapter 2 for my Warrior. Can you get these on the GTN, or are they Legacy-bound?
  22. Hello, So I just finished Chapter 3 for my Sith Warrior and Chapter 1 for my Bounty Hunter. At the end, it says "Go to the fleet to get an End-Chapter gift." I do as they say, but get no items, only XP. Is this bugged? Or is my gift the XP? I got other items before going to the Fleet (like a Legacy kit for the Bounty Hunter), but nothing when I arrived. Thanks!
  23. Hello all, So I just finished Chapter 1 of my Bounty Hunter story (she's my secondary character; the highest level of my alts, but still an alt). As part of that, I got a Legacy construction kit. This is not my first kit; I understand I have to send it to another character and have that character bring it to a Legacy vendor on Coruscant or Dromund Kaas. But I wonder how I get more of these kits? Clearly I don't only get them when I finish Chapter 1. I know this because I somehow at one point in the game had three kits for only two characters above Chapter 1. I forgot how I got that other one though. So can someone please explain to me any other ways I get these kits? Thank you!
