  1. Well, that's your choice. You can simply ignore it, though.
  2. Well, it's perhaps a fair question, but nobody really has the answer. In any case it's not relevant because the most vitally important people - the developers - have already decided to include it. They've stated as much and until they state differently nobody can really 'know' they aren't putting it in. If the handful of people who want it are developers it's going to be realised.
  3. That may indeed be a valid concern. That's one of the reasons we're asking for clarification from the developers, you see.
  4. It's going to be, then. And that's your choice, and nobody else's responsibility.
  5. Incorrect. Check your facts before posting. Otherwise you just look ignorant.
  6. I think you just answered your own question there, Iosdia. What to say to continue a thread when it's directed at people who won't respond, and anything we can write there is just a pretty bump?
  7. I still don't get why people didn't like the way sexuality was done in DA2. I didn't see any issue with it at all.
  8. I meant specifically black human characters, yes. I do hope nobody thinks I'm accusing BW:A of racism, I'm really not. It just occurred to me while I was trying not to type 'Z-snap' after my diatribe on Kira in my earlier post. Mako is Asian-styled. At least I interpret her features thusly. To the point where I did a remake of her in Daz Studio: ...which you can view here, if you so choose. And with a close-up of the face. I'm not entirely happy with it, but oh well. In any case I don't interpret her as being the little kid some people do (which, in my opinion, is mostly influenced by Lacey Chabert, her voice actor). On the small side, sure, and certainly young, but still an adult.
  9. Ah, my IA hasn't claimed her yet. Hmmm. Curiosity == sated!
  10. <infantile giggle> Erm, yes. See, people say a lot of stuff about who 'makes sense' as gay or bi, but I don't really think it 'makes sense' to start labelling these characters as 'making sense' or not. As has been mentioned many times on this thread and its predecessors, you really just can't tell who's going to jump in bed with the same gender. Very few people would spot me as bi, for example - most assume I'm straight or gay. There doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground, though I'm not entirely sure why. "Oh, but Corso has a 'be nice to girls' thing going on!" Yes, so will anyone who's been brought up to believe that you don't hit girls. And clearly he digs the ladies - but that doesn't mean to say he doesn't dig the gentlemen as well. Me, personally, I can very easily see him as being bi. Similarly, I can easily see Doc as being bi. I can even see him making light fun of the JK who expresses surprise over it. I mean, he's an inveterate womanising sleaze - and yet he's an absolute medical genius. That could be seen as surprising enough, couldn't it? Sure, there's maybe a bit much overlap between Doc and Cedrax in that regard, but I have this scene in my head of Doc tilting his head at a confused male JK and saying, 'Hey, there's more to ol' Doc than meets the eye.' Can I see Kira as bi? Easily. More importantly, though, I can see Kira doing things the way Kira wants, and damn if other people don't like that, because that's what Kira is. Impulsive, strong-willed and stubborn to a fault. Very cynical and yet very idealistic. But mostly she's Kira, and she's going to keep being Kira, and if you don't like the Kira that Kira is then Kira doesn't give a damn. I just had a thought: are there any natively (ie. without companion customisation) black female love interests? I know there's at least one natively black male LI (Iresso), but I can't think of any females.
  11. It would be precisely the same as if they'd said, 'Oh, only Troopers and Sith Warriors can PvP.' In short: unacceptable.
  12. If Kira is SGRA-enabled, yes (and gets a little JediKnight Inside sticker). We still don't know who will or won't be SGRA-enabled.
  13. I absolutely agree. It's not the time to be saying that. However, BW:A has shown a great propensity for ignoring what people are saying they want in favour of how they want to do things (a trait that can be, of course, both good and bad).
  14. But you DID put it at the bottom, which rather contradicts your earlier statement. Mine would be, out of those options: 1) Fixing major (gameplay-breaking) 1.4 bugs 2) SGRAs 3) Cathar species 4) Makeb 5) Fixing minor (mostly cosmetic) 1.4 bugs 6) HK-51 I'd do it like that because major bugs DO need addressing, and EVERYONE should wait for it - SGRA, PvP, PvE, operations, the whole lot. You can't play a game that's broken. After that, SGRAs should be a relatively smooth and easy implementation. Same with the Cathar (it's really just another model - which is already extant considering there's Cathar everywhere in-game - with different textures and one single social emote, it's not like it needs new vocal acting done or anything), so they may as well go in while harder stuff is being implemented. Those wouldn't take too much time away from implementing Makeb. I'd make HK-51 wait because it'd be nice if they fixed up the existing companions before ADDING MORE IN. Yeesh.
  15. Sounds a lot like some of my fiction. Most of it, in fact. Exactly. Do or do not want is a debate for people primarily in the second camp, and as the Community Team has directly shown many times over - and the devs too, in their own ways - it's an irrelevant point for the most part. SGRAs are coming and it doesn't matter how many or how few people want it. Let the detractors cry their big wet detractor tears over it. The correct response remains, 'It doesn't matter if you don't want it in, it's coming.' ...Which is also an assumption (the concept of them being under a gag order) but given the evidence of action it's the most likely case. I agree it's likely what's happening. It'll be good to have SGRAs in this year.
  16. The point is there are some extremely horrifying anti-gay sentiments being waved about in the US right now. As BW:A is an American business it (in theory) needs to work within a potentially volatile political climate. I really hope you're wrong, Iosdia. I truly do. But given how vehement some extremists are over there, and how readily they'll grab any hint of ammunition and use it to stop the rising tide of Gay that they believe threatens to swallow them whole, I can't say I'd be surprised if you're right. Disappointed, yes. Surprised, no.
  17. Ah, gotcha, sorry. For the record I don't think your post was baseless, or even overly ranty.
  18. Yyyes, that's pretty much what I said. From an outsider's perspective, yes. But they're not the same thing. One is worse and it's up for debate which - to ignore someone, or to pay attention and purposefully let them think you're ignoring them.
  19. I'd agree with you, but for one thing: one of them - it doesn't even really matter which one - could actually come in here and post a single post saying, 'Yes, we do read this. No, we aren't ignoring you. Yes, we will update you when the time is right (which isn't right now). They could come to the coal-face, so to speak, and actually say it for themselves - but they haven't. Hell, they could actually SAY they're under an NDA. We don't even know that for certain, as far as I know. It's just assumption (though reasonably safe assumption). I'll be clear: I'm not saying that they ARE ignoring us. I'm saying that we've been given no way of knowing for certain that they're not.
  20. I suppose there's a difference between ignoring someone, and simply not showing that you're paying attention. Frankly we've seen no indication to date that they're NOT doing the former - ie. we've repeatedly voiced very clear and specific concerns that they could indeed address, even if it's to say 'About THIS matter: we're not sure/can't say yet,' and they haven't so much as made mention of them. The closest we got was the Guild Summit when the specific concept of turning off gender check flags was addressed (but frankly that's an obvious imperfect 'solution' and may have had nothing to do with this thread at all). Until the matters stated here are addressed we have no proof they're not ignoring us. However, they're essentially claiming, 'Oh, we're paying attention, we're just choosing not to answer any of your questions,' which really doesn't speak any better of them. Glad to have 'the official word' (which is that the PvP lead thinks but isn't sure that there's 'some content' coming with Makeb - the best Gabe could say, I'm sure, but as 'official words' go it's pretty damn flimsy), but my personal suggestion to Hall Hood would be to recognise that nobody at Bioware AT ALL has given us solid confirmation AND evidence that this thread or any of its kind are being looked at, that our concerns are being weighed. Loose lips, as they say, sink ships*. * = In this case, 'Oh, we're paying attention, we're listening, honest,' means nothing if our concerns aren't addressed with us, and could seriously damage morale further.
  21. I'd just like to address this point: I have no issue with Doc's personality. He's a womaniser and far too sure of himself, yes, but that's who he is. There's a bunch of other really interesting stuff going on there (his shady grip on ethics vs his sheer medical genius, for example, and the fact that he really DOES want to help people and do the right thing but just needs reminding every now and then) and I don't have any issue with him being a bit dodgy. He's a sleaze, sure, but even sleazes need love. Or some form of equivalent. The only issue I see with the matter (and it's a fairly significant issue) is that there's no other option. If he was one option amongst several it'd be a very different matter. My JK thinks he's an awesome guy and a very good friend. But she wouldn't jump him and as there's no other option she spends her time staring at Kira's butt and thinking that perhaps the Force is just telling her 'no, you don't get to be with anyone'.
  22. No problem at all, and welcome to the thread. Juhani is the one, if I recall correctly. I never played them so I couldn't say for sure. Honestly, I still have faith. It's bruised faith but still there. I was very impressed with the inclusion in ME3 and I'm hoping for more of the same here.
