  1. I came up with an idea to make your bug reporting more efficient and here is my idea. First have a category for type of bug that correlates with your programming departments, such as "GUI" for your UI programmers. Specifically ask the programming departments what information they specifically want to know in order to fix the bugs from the users on the forms for each department , as well as what is there pet peeves that they commonly see on the bug reports that they get. This survey from the departments will then determine if a modification of the form is necessary for different departments. Then create a form. There could be drop down menus in which bugs already known could be selected. This could be updated as necessary as more bugs are discovered. Another idea I have is to give the user an option to close his/her bug report along with whoever from Bioware normally closes it. This would give additional input to the programmers on how effectively there fix worked. They wouldn't rely solely on this, but it would give them more of an idea of what is happening or isn't happening.
  2. I thought after reading the title of the post that it was going to say something like "because I'm stuck at work!" not have a skyscraper wall of text.
  3. well there is no real threat from the pixelated characters unless marriage with pixelated characters becomes legal..lol
  4. I think one of the points she is making is that a girl having a relationship with the well structured pixelated man could cause insecurity with the boyfriend's perception of his own physique and where he is lacking. Basically, she's giving an example of similar circumstance where the roles are reversed to show that both men and women can have insecurities, not just the women.
  5. If you spend every waking hour on the game and don't spend any time with your wife, she isn't being irrational. It's a slap in her face if a fictatious pixelated character gets more love than her. You probably will want to find out what her language of love is; Is it quality time together? In that case she is going to feel unloved and get jealous. I don't know her though, so I cannot say if she is just someone who is irrational.
  6. I originally posted this in the public test server because I thought maybe this could be implemented for the next patch since they are working on modifying the GUI. Is there a way to at least move this to the suggestion box? I didn't see the option for the suggestion box on the main forum page, otherwise I would have posted it there. As someone who develops programs myself, I think this could easily be implemented. I could be wrong because I haven't worked on a program of this size.
  7. You won an accessibility award getting props from disabled gamers. The color blind disabled need help though because they cannot see the colors for the items. I realize you are working on a permanent fix but in the meantime could you talk to your GUI programmers to implement some simple code in which when the person shift right clicks an item and the item name appears in colored font in the chat window that it would in addition state in the window the color of the font? Please help these people! Thank you Bioware in advance for consideration of those who are disabled.
  8. i think I can understand the reason this player calls a spaceport epic. One analogy I could think of is what it could feel like walking into a hangar everyday if it housed a stealth bomber that I piloted. In this case though, I would actually own the stealth bomber. I could see then how a person could get an epic feeling.
  9. If a person needs on an item that clearly is not part of their class, I immediately dump the group because as a tank or healer I don't need a person like that, i can find someone else to group with.
  10. nope i think you are correct. I created characters with both types of factions not sure if many other people did.
  11. funny and ironic. did you ever find that when you point at someone else for being self centered that in fact you point in the mirror? If WoW is the standard than we clearly strive for imperfection for even the great WoW has flaws. But aside from that, calling people names is in fact point breaking and having an opinion in which he or she feels that some whining is taking place is not being self centered. He or she is merely stating his or her opinion. What is with the immediate attack on the guy? What is wrong with a simple thank you for your feedback but I disagree with your statements rather than the shouting text and the insinuation the he ever stated that his opinion was the majority opinion.
  12. I have come up with a rough idea of a fix but it is very rough and I need to do research. My idea is that when an item is in your inventory and you shift right click on for instance a blue item, it in the chat text it would in addition to showing itself as blue also state that it is blue. I need to research to find the correct file and then read through the code and determine how to add this code and then test said feature. I might also need to determine if said code would violate the EULA and contact Bioware for approval of usage of adding the code to the files. I can't see them making a big stink about it but you never know. I really want to help you but to be honest I am only a computer science student. Although I have a basic understanding of code, and know how to code in some languages, I'm going to need to do my research. If there is anyone else out there far more experienced, feedback would be greatly appreciated.
  13. I found something that might be helpful but I have not found something to address your issue of seeing item colors in terms of the color of the the text of items and the color of the borders in the the inventory list. I found that you can change the text color in chat. I can take you through a step by step guide if you need help with using that feature. I am still researching the part about the items.
  14. apparently there is a color blind option am researching how it works right now will post soon as i find out.
  15. I agree though I don't face your problem. I hope they listen and modify the design for those with disabilities. Bump.
  16. Have you already updated your graphics drivers? Maybe that might help. These are only suggestions in hopes that your situation might improve.
  17. His original posting title was "seriously, worst forum design ever" so i was expecting a little bit more unless the worst design ever is defined as only the annoyance of having alphabetical listings. I was open to listen to some of his ideas but you may be correct, he may only have that one idea.
