  1. I've heard alot of talk about the situation of PVP in SWTOR. I've played around a bit as a few different classes and looked at other players pvp videos so i can establish an informed opinion. From my experience, and what i've been seeing as "Proffesional premade" groups Nobody brings non tank DPS. such as non tank shadows commandos mercenaries Non tank assassins Sentinels, marauders, gunslingers, and Snipers. I find that this is because but the ability for a tank class to "Peel" for his allies is to strong, and DPS classes have no real "peels" Which is to say between taunts and guard it becomes difficult to harm a healer.. but not impossible. Subseqeuntly the damage output of these tank classes rival non-tank classes (with the exception of sorcerer/sage and scoundral/operative) So they can protect there own healers much better and take damage much better and still do significant damage to enemies. What this means is, most of the premades ive witnessed that were featured on sites Such as SWTORmovies.com and even a few youtube videos. have a set up like this. Guardian Guardian Sage Vanguard and if its an 8 man group via dual queue. Guardian Guardian Sage Sage Vanguard Vanguard Shadow-(tank) Scoundral Clearly some dps classes are well under represented. Which brings me to my next point. There is a very distinct lack of utility and CC in SWTOR. due to the nature of the resolve gauge and typical pvp spec.. a vast majority of players have 2 Pvp abilities to break out of or prevent CC (particularly tank classes.) All types of CC (even the distinct lack of seperate types.) add to resolve based on time..which means it is nearly impossible to take advantage of CC, in most cases it's easier to just rush the opponent with damage and kill them.. which isn't exactly a measure of skilled gameplay. (Whether SWTOR wants their pvp to focus on skill or not is not up to me.. but if they do.. it isnt working.) So my conclusion is, I'd like to see more Utility and CC among all classes not just tank and healing classes. I'd also like to see tank damage actually be lower then pure damage classes which sacrifice survivability for damage. Thank you for reading and have fun in SWTOR.
  2. So legacy is coming out and we're all pretty in the dark about it. I'm curious to see what new race/class combos we'll see available. For my personal enjoyment. I would like a Chiss Sentinel or Marauder. I've certainly seen desire for Twi'lek Sith warriors and a commandos. My question is, In the recent trailer they featured a Miraluka Sith Warrior, which is a mirror class of jedi knight, which miraluka can be. Are we only limited to our mirror class for the new combos or is it more significant then that? I'm a Lesbian gamer. and i have always enjoyed Bioware games. But in SWTOR they decided to not allow Same sex couples. Why? Subsequently i heard they might be adding it.. but from the rumors i've heard it would be as far away as another expansion. Are any of these rumors regarding additions of Gay/lesbian companion romance true?
