  1. Agree it's not op now (I play one) I was trying to see what would get nerfed in the future and my guess(may be flawed) is that if 1,2 and 3 are nerfed it leaves the cp build pretty close to the top (imo)

In order of when the bat will hit: 1)Hybrid sorcs 2)Grav/tracer 3)<S>Surge stacking</S> marauders (surge check) 4)Vanguard/PT hybrid(carolina parakeet) 5)<S>Surge stacking</S> guardian/jug (surge check) NB* There is no jugment on the validity of these nerfs jsut what I predict will happen in the future of pvp balance. What do you think? Again, just to make it clear I don't think that all these are op just my guess on what could happen from looking at the forums. (Please don't defend a certain class, discuss who will get the nerf and when)
  3. I'd get Ion Screen and power armor for sure, and 6% aim is not THAT great, from what i've read it's dps pump isn't that spectacular. For the FS+FS I totally agree, That's what I do. For dps, I'd probably get serated blade instead of Iron fist, but as you sait you wanted to concentrate on RP so its fine. Dunno if Rail loaders is worth it. If I couldent find anything better I'd put those pts in jet speed. All in all It's about your preferance that's why i left the 7 floating pts. But you still have a nice build.
  4. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301GoRrbRMoZrkbro.1 This is my core build, the 7 points can get you: Flame shield/flame surge (2+2)=4 Jet speed =2 With all 7pts in ST you get 3/5 Empowered tech Hot iron+Serated (2+3)=5 you can switch around PBE for puncture etc. Your choice ---------- Purpose of this build (it's not dps): -Guard a friend -Spam taunts -Grapple pple off your friend or healers, grappel pple into traps(3sec stun) -Jet charge: huttball, stun players in fire trap(just before they go off), interupt casters, -Quell: on 6 sec cool, with jet charge and electro dart (reduces cool) can be frustrating for casters (fun for us tho) -RB for defensive purposes(stop caping) -Stelth scan(with 3sec stun): Spam while not in combat with flame sweep to prevent stelth cappers. Also in mid of fight if protecting a door. (remember you are not doing that much dammage, if pple are beating on you who cares, protect that door and let your friends heal/kill instead) Good for pvp(not dps) and adequate for pve tanking (dunno about hard/nightmare mode) -------- Cons: -low dps(you sould get 75k per wz easy) -better with friends (as most builds are) Pros: -Easy medals (protection) -A real nuisance for casters (tracer/grav, pebble/lightening, heals) -Helps your team (you get medals for this but your biggest input is quell and I don't think you get protection score for heals or dammage you interupt but if you can play without needing gratification for every ability you use its all good) (btw I know that shielding is virtually usless in pvp. But the 60 sec cool down on Kolto is nice because both ES and KO are up at the same time)
  5. Lol I agree, just did some wz with merc healer and it was like day and night (exept for hutt ball, having competatn players even if both sides out gear oui is a lot more fun than a bunch of lvl 15 who dont know squat) Edit: just to clarify, im PT and firend is Merc
  6. As a shield-tech, Fighting same lvl/gear operatives is both fun and challenging at the same time. There does not seem to be a balance issue. In fact sorcs/consulars are probably stronger imo. The problem stems from top gear, potion stacking op/scoundrel that can 2 shot me(or most pple). With any luck the potions and bracket changes will help this. (exept for new lvl 50s but thats another story). It would also help if mitigation was fixed/looked into. It has been discussed that shields, dodge and most defensive stats are quasi-usless in pvp (look it up) crits bypass most forms of mitigation. Critting (plus power stacking) makes eligible players (top geared) do insane amounts of dammage (to any class). Befor nerfing the class, fix dammage mitigation for all classes, fix diminishing returns on power, prevent potion stacking and tone down the effect of top end gear(expertise, maybe?, don't know).
