Yeah, he is the melee guy so has no easy interrupts. I'm a full three levels above him and manage to drop him to about 20% by the time my companion bites it. I can't for the life of me seem to finally end him though. At this point I might just look for a party, but my dignity doesn't like it, on a mission that theoretically is made for solo play. Also, thanks for the heads up on the boss thing. I'll think about it, but there's no way it can be more frustrating than this.

So, after just dying against him again, I decided to go google up Vessex Ulgo and see if anyone else has had the same problems with this boss as I am. Which apparently people have! And given that I've stopped counting my deaths and am almost bankrupted repairing armors after enough battles, I am beginning to suspect that I'm being too stubborn to do the whole planet story than I should be. I know that sniper is pretty much the hardest option to do solo play on, and doesn't fare so well against elites as well, but this is kind of bull. Has anyone else cracked the Ulgo formula, or should I just give up and go finish up the class story? Maybe show up levels later just to finish this for the sake of story.
