    I can't believe I have to play WoW again today! *shudders*

     

    been raiding DS in wow for the last hour while i wait and pray i can tell /w to screw off as soon as i get my code... im sooooo done with wow

     

    i think thats whats making it so hard to wait to get in here.. the thought of having to do deathwing again .. and again... and again... and again... and again while i wait on my email =(

    You can pre-download the game if you already registered your game key

     

    yeah i have it downloaded and waiting for access.. the question is though... do they send out seperate keys for early access and then a product key? seems like it since steven ried is tweeting that the product keys will be sent out on the 16th .. if i ordered from origin, since my code has nothing to do with my recipt from gamestop, only my account email and name, if origin sent me one i should be able to keep my status if i dont enter the code they send... or is it like tied to your email or something when you order from them.

    Ok here is the situation...

     

    i pre-ordred the game from gamestop back in july when it was first avail.. but i didnt get my code til Nov the 8th. I had to call and ***** them out for weeks to get a code because they gave me the old bs about bioware didnt send them enough codes etc.

     

    The thing im wondering is this... ok so.. if i cancel my order from gamestop, and i order through origin.. will i lose my pre-order items and place in que for early access..

     

    I mean.. how does the order come from origin..? preaccess code and then the product code... so like if i cancel my order from gamestop, can i oder from origin and just not enter the code they send me and keep the one i have now and then just enter the product code for the game on the 20th?

     

    I dont want to lose my pre-order status.. but my local gamestop wont have the disks until the 20th (not opening the 19th 12 am like most) plus i simply dont want to order from gamestop anymore because of this screw up... because of it im bascially screwed out of early access at the current "wave" rate.

     

     

    any thoughts?

    Sadly, Blizz launch of WoW blows this out of the water. I was there, and despite login errors, which I received all thru SWTOR beta and was never able to play, WoW launch was WAY better than this one.

    I don't think they have the stuff to handle the 20th. I think come Dec. 20th this game is gonna be down for a week, and then those of us who got screwed on beta and screwed on early access are gonna be even more ticked and our real-life friends already in-game are gonna leave us in the digital dust and after the first month we'll be so far behind and stuff that we'll just be like screw it....maybe I'll give it one more month....maybe

     

    yeah.. it is sad to say.. but with bliz we knew we had a chance of getting in... just had to wait in que.. here i dont know if ill get in today or the 19th and thats whats kickin my ***.. i mean come on... either im in or not for early... yes or no.. not this maybe crap...

     

    its past 8 am also.. so wheres the next waves??

    and i dont mean that in a good way..

     

    the next blizzard in the way that they hit at something... then hype it.. then have you wait and waste your time.

     

    I hate blizzard with a passion now.. yet wow is starting to look good again already because at least i have a chance to log in over there. And for example.. when cata released they said it will be avail to play at 12.01 am this day and time... none of this.. you may get in you may not ********. Its stimple.. can we log in or not.. get rid of this wave crap.. if you cant handle the capacity of preorders.. what do you think will happen launch day?? lolz?

     

    Here, because of a screw up on gamestop/biowares part, i prob wont get in for pre-access because i didnt get my code til oct, because bioware didnt send gamestop enough to cover thier pre-orders.

     

    Just knowing WHEN i could log in would be nice.. not this sitting and waiting with no chance in hell.. if they would have said, we will be opening the pre-access on dec 13 for those who paid for the collectors edition on the first day of preorder and family members of the swtor programmers... maybe it would have at least given the rest of us a note as to where we stand... but dragging this out when the servers are way below load is lame and starting to piss people off.

     

    if your gonna launch early.. launch early... let people sit in a que if you have to.. at least we have a chance of getting in.. if not.. let us know when we can expect to get in (if at all before the 20th) so we can plan our days... because some of us do have things we could be doing.

    What lesson have we learned from EA and Bioware with this launch?

    If this staggered launch goes as slow as day one ill never ever again pre-order anything from bioware/EA.

     

    Whats the logic of pre-ordering a product at day 1 that you know crap about it because they hide everything afraid of criticism besides being a blind fanboy that would buy a devs used condom?

     

    Smart consumers MUST know what they are buying before putting their money on something. Pre-ordering to have 1 week behind blind customers is the same as buying retail, or worse.

     

     

    agreed... i ordred mine from gamestop the first day it was avil.. but didnt get a code til oct because they ran out so i guess im SOL on getting in for early access.. which is what i paid for... nice job bioware... since i was told that the code shortage was because gamestop couldnt get any more codes from them to cover the presales. Dont presale items you cant cover... period

    Ok so.. i know the "waves are over for today" since ive been following this crap since 6 am est thinking i would have a chance to play today... BUT... this was just added on the swtor website...

    did the same thing ordered 7/21 and didnt get code till oct

     

     

    same here... so because the problem was with gamestop (said bioware didnt give them codes) i think they should allow everyone in or at least a fair chance.. i paid for mine on 7/21 and didnt get code til late oct.... I WANT IN for what and when i paid for... 7/21

    With all due respect to Bioware, I already know where this was heading. You are hyping the game up and wanting to have the most pre sales than World of Warcraft by offering early game access. From what I've been told, the servers are at medium. I don't see how you are testing stability when medium means 50-75% full. From what I do know, servers begin to be unstable at 90% of population. IMHO, you are hurting your integrity by doing this. Does it really take you 24hrs to determine if servers that are on medium are stable enough to play on in order to get wave 5 sent out?.

     

     

    someones already said only 4 waves today on the dev log... so were screwed i guess

    There is no need to conplain, they really dont have to let anyone in till the 15th. They are just being nice and peeps are alrdy showing their butts!!!

     

     

    i just feel cheated that i joined the site as soon as it was avail.. back in january...

     

    i ordered the game as soon as it was avail...

     

    and gamestop says bioware was to blame for not giving them enough codes.. now i have to wait til who knows when.. when i should have been in wave 1 this morning.. and if they are only doing 4 waves today... there are gonna be a lot of peeved people... since they are on wave 3 already..

    I pre-ordered 5 days ago, yet I still think, that we all get in until the 15th. This whole wave-concept is really stupid, I'd prefer the que system, where you have to wait some hours or whatever to login. They did a stress test for what ? They know that their servers are capable of holding large amounts of people and yet they still do it so slow and in stupid waves, based on when some nerd redeemed his code.

     

     

    what makes it so bad in my case is.. the delay im having now waiting on entry is because my retailer ran out of codes and i didnt get mine til late oct. This shouldnt be held against me.. yet here i am.. no early acces on the waves because of gamestop =(
