  1. I posted the following in the suggestion box as customer service always tells us to, however I truly believe that the suggestion box doesn't get the attention it deserves. "I'm a former EQ2 player, before it started to suck. I'm loving this game, but I hear a lot of my friends are becoming bored and burnt out with boredom. I'm playing on a PVP server, and from what I've been told, there's NO difference between PvE and PvP servers with the exception of getting killed in open world in a PvP server. Lets be honest. Warzones are boring! There's only so many warzones you can do before you get burnt out. We need something else. We need Open World PvP!! Ilum failed. Open world PvP failed. When we said we wanted an incentive to PvP in open world we didn't mean blowing up vehicles or picking up armaments etc. What I had in mind was more like EQ2, now bare in mind I haven't played that game in a very long time so I'm going off my memory here. In EQ2 you would pick up missions/quests which would in SWTOR be in the fleet at the PvP terminal. You'd have your Warzone Daily/Weekly (There wasn't Warzones in EQ2 when I played, they came later) and your Open World Daily/Weekly, much like how it was pre-1.2. At the moment our rewards are kinda out of sync. We get 99 WZ and 99 Ranked for a 3/3 wins for the daily, yet we get 99/99 for 9/9 wins in the weekly also. This needs to change, the Weekly should offer a slightly higher reward. For an Open World reward I think it should be similar or a bit less. This is only a suggestion post remember. Also, with that when you kill people they will drop a security chest that contains maybe 20-30 WZ comms - now keep in mind, this does not mean that the person who was killed lost comms, it just simply means that he dropped them and it can be looted by the player or group that initiated and killed the person. Valor is still rewarded as it were in Ilum. To prevent excess farming, you could put in place a system where there's a medium to long timer to prevent griefing/farming of players. At the moment, there's I think a two minute timer on valor earned. This needs to be seperate from counting towards the quest/mission. Therefore you'd still have the incentive to Open World PvP by gaining valor even though they're still on your recent list. (Future command: /recent to see who is on your recent open world kill list with the amount of time remaining.) This would have to work in all PvP enabled zones and scale per level with the rewards from levels 10 - 50. Possibly add some sweet looking Open World PvP gear by adding an additional "OW" PvP token to the security chests dropped by players. I accept that not everyone will agree with me here, but I think it's now up to us to make this game better, not worse. Stop criticizing and be constructive. This is only my opinion and suggestion that maybe beneficial to SWTOR's PvP future. -Off topic, I know a lot of us aren't happy with the design of a lot of the end game gear. Even though we can actually swap mods etc but maybe a competition is in order? "

  3. I agree! please put in GMT +12
  4. Wait a second... you guys are still getting Ilum daily pvp? haha...Where do you pick them up from now? The pvp mission terminal doesn't give me my ilum armament missions anymore... not even the weekly ones. All I get are the 3 and 9 warzone wins!
  5. ^ This. I agree. First time I did my weeklies I was wondering what the reward would be as daily is 99/99 ...Only to find the weekly is the exact same... Fix this please, I don't feel like I'm being rewarded for my pvp grind!
  6. Ok, let me explain the situation for my question first. I'm an Oceanic player with a 50 character on a USEAST server. I don't want to transfer him at the present moment as the guild I'm with are longtime friends. I've also started a new character on the Oceanic PVP server, which means that I'll have to do Legacy all over again (Obviously). However I was told if I transfer a character from the other server to the Oceanic, it will take priority and transfer the Legacy. Since I'm keeping my 50 there, if I transfer a lower level character that is part of that Legacy, will it transfer my legacy over still meaning I'll have the same Legacy on both servers? Also, if we can have cross server pvp warzones, could we also introduce cross server legacy? - This would solve my problem, and for those who have multiple characters on several servers.

    BM bag tokens

DAMN!!!! Yeah... I'm not so keen on pvp either lol. After that grind from 50 something to 60 valor... I was really excited to open up all my BM bags. nothing. Was a bit disheartening....Thought, ah well...next time! Nothing... *** o.O

    BM bag tokens

Time for me to join the rest and QQ. How is everyone else's ratio when it comes to opening your BM bags? I've opened a total of 17 bags now with only receiving 3 BM Commendations. It was at 14 - 1 then I got two in one day...and now it's 17 - 3 lol I did prefer the old system. Meanwhile I have friends who regularly pick up BM commendations and almost have the full set since the bag changes. Anyone else in the same boat?
  9. lol... When I had this mission, it took me several goes...then instead of me leading the attack I sent T7 in and it bugged out and it was over. Somehow I skipped the entire fight. Was relieved too because he was kickin my ***!
  10. I grinded to 60 valor. Painfully. I've opened 11 BM bags and received only 1 token
  11. I read most of it...was alot to read. I'm not so excited at the aspect of ranking, especially with population imbalances. Yes I'm a republic player, and I think most will agree...even the imps that we'll get rolled even harder. I'm not whinging, I'm just stating a fact and I'm now used to being the underdog faction always on the backfoot... but implementing some of these things is just making it harder lol. Right now we're dealing with an increasing amount of Imp Battlemasters as we are almost at valor 60. They -almost- always control the map, if not they have most of the points in ilum gaining much more valor. Most of the time, we're only getting +20 valor per kill... so we just get our daily/weekly done and leave. Making some big changes so early in the games release can be a bad thing, first things first. Fix the bugs and imbalances...then add new content. This will be a great game, stop expecting everything to be so perfect. We can all agree PvE is pretty damn fantastic. PvP needs a bit of polishing. I think it's a great that you've taken the initiative to post this thread. I'm usually just reading them. I submit all my suggestions and complaints via the ticket system, and usually have a GM contacting me in-game to discuss them. Maybe we should also be participating in the Public Test Server also? So we can test out this stuff before it becomes live instead of getting all upset when the patches come around and things are broken or not working as intended. Give the game some time, we've waited this long...what's a few more months going to hurt?
  12. Quoted from gameplanet.co.nz "BioWare and Electronic Arts are aiming to launch Star Wars: The Old Republic in New Zealand and Australia around the 1st of March, 2012. It also appears that the MMO will have local servers." http://www.gameplanet.co.nz/pc/games/167905/news/138387.20111221.March-1st-targeted-for-ANZ-launch-of-Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic/ I have my hopes up.
  13. Who here will be moving to the Oceanic servers once they go live (In March)? Or will you continue playing on the server you're currently on? I've been told mixed stories about being able to transfer your already made characters to the Oceanic servers once they go live. Maybe I was just told that since it seemed reasonable, however I just received an e-mail from a Protocol Droid stating that character transfers will not be available. I'm currently on a USEAST server running between 200-300+ms, and was hoping to move to the Oceanic servers when they go live so I can get under 100ms...
  14. The valor has no serious effect on game play other than allowing those who before were below Valor 60 to purchase the Battle master gear which will have a serious impact in PvP. I really hope they reconsider this rollback, not only for this reason but also because it's immensely unfair to those who did back to back warzones etc to achieve Valor 60.
  15. :sy_lightside : :sy_lightside: My reason being: This game is already too imbalanced towards the Empire as it were, BEFORE 1.1 Patch. Those of us that played Republic, just accepted it, and dealt with it. Post patch, we got steamrolled as I predicted. We never stood a chance. I'm almost Valor 50, and some of my friends in-game had only just reached Valor 60 mere days before the patch released. Hearing that people achieved 60 in a few minutes/hours from Ilum PVP when so many had strived so hard. I think it is owed to THEM that a roll back is called for. Tricky situation, because you don't want to drive the Imperial players away. The Imperial players know what they did was unfair and wrong, I don't think they will cry if their Valor is rolled back. Those who abused it excessively should maybe have it rolled a bit further as punishment for exploiting the situation to the fullest instead of finishing their Daily, realizing what is happening and submit a ticket and have others do the same. We don't want this game to fail, we love this game. So make the effort to help the Dev's out instead of being immature and creating an absolute nightmare for them.
