The pre-release of the 1.3 augmentations was vwery misleading and very disappointing.
It implayed you go to a augmentation station pay a few credits and boom, you gear is augmented
I don't do crafting in this game or buy much stuff as every thing is SSSOO expensive, gear is expensive to maintain, and npc's as well as quests credits barely keep me maintained.
So imo this hole 1.3 update is a big farse, as too the augmentation thing a HUGE le tdown and VERY depressing.
Basically for whatever reason you overlooked the specific details of adding augments to gear that has been around since before 1.3 was even on the test server, and because you overlooked the details you are calling it a farse?
Ok... Maybe expand your game experience and either craft or run dailies to get money (~300k a day...) to purchase augment kits. If you aren't 50 and therefore not up to the dailies then augmenting your gear doesn't matter yet anyway.

You're right, it's a bug with the group finder.
If you deselect a role, and then go into any of the filters and change something, when you back out of the filter your roles will be set to default again. Apparently it's a known issue, at least that's what CSR replied to my report of this bug.
The solution is to always select your roles JUST before clicking accept. I'm unsure what the results would be when queueing in a group, perhaps you have to be the last to select roles also.
Yea I am thinking the person unselected healer then changed something then joined queue and didn't notice healer had been reselected.

LOL, so you never beat Final Fantasy 7 either unless you got every single piece of equipment in the game, and discovered every single augment, and talked with every single NPC, and stepped on every single tile in the game...
That's a bit of a silly standard - especially maxing companion affection. How does getting several extra 15 second cutscenes here and there change the gameplay experience significantly?
I did all that in FF7 several times over (well, except the stepping on every tile thing, that's just silly).

Game is story based.
I wouldn't call it story based, it's progression based, everything in the game is about achieving the next best thing.
Story is however the most marketed feature. (Over-rated IMO)

Codex system is poorly designed and difficult to track progress. It needs to be more categorized and polished to make me consider spending time filling it. I want to fill it but can't in it's current state.

Can I just ask what time all these Americans saying throwing their opinions out play? Can I also ask how you would feel if the servers were down for that time 3 times in 1 week?
You quoted me and I live in New Zealand, says so in my sig...
And I am on the side of 'who cares about a night or two off, when the games back online something may be improved which is a good thing.'
-
Then perhaps they should save things like fixing some minor Augment bug for Tuesdays. Seriously, that's all last night did.
Woop dee doo?
Not gunna go whinge about not playing SWTOR for my friday night...

Nope, not the end of the world for sure. Don't think you understood the reasons behind my post, it wasn't to complain about a personal grievance or mis-perceived injustice but an issue that effects a lot of people, including you. Personally I've made my plans for tonight, life goes on. Dosen't mean I'm not going to speak up on an issue because I feel its the right thing to do, if more Aussies spoke up instead of adopting the 'she'll be right mate' attitude then maybe everyone would be a bit happier.
You think that trying to hinder improvements and updates and fixes to the game is a good thing? I like this game but I can see the bugs and I want them fixed. I most certainly do not want you or anyone else kicking a fuss over not being able to play for a few hours once or twice a week, as that just wastes time.
I want them to fix the game and do not begrudge the maintenance times at all. They can't please everyone and we are likely one of the smaller markets. It is a business remember and the less customers they can interrupt the better for their business (income/profit).

Don't let the minority of Oceanic players who are complaining fool you, most of us in this part of the world are laid back enough to not give a hoot about the timing of these updates.
-
Bioware don't owe you (or anyone) a specific amount of game time.
Be a man, relax.
-
Hey come on now, our part of the world isn't meant to complain about silly things like people in larger countries do.
Let's just take a minute and man up, an extra update is no big deal.
-
@OP Harden up mate. Not the end of the world.
-
I sent them a PM about it already this morning.
But you wanted to highlight their error didn't you...
-
I was thinking this yesterday too, to have them walk around would be awesome.

I have to sell my crystals and sugmented sabers for half the price I used to sell them at. *sad Bluestone*

I got a reply to my ticket. They refused to restore my guild bank because after the transfer I no longer have twelve guild members. Needless to say I gave them a strongly worded reply and am awaiting another response. I'm not asking for anything extra. I'm just asking them to restore what I rightfully unlocked. Very lame.
The FAQ for transferring guild banks does not state that you need to have 12 members to have your bank transferred. They should amend the FAQ or suck it up and give you your bank.
To create the bank initially you do need 12 members but everyone is so tied to pedantics until it effects them (including Bioware lol)

200ms on west coast, 250ms on east. The 200 on AP never stopped me doing anything and I am not concerned about the 50ms increase now me and my guild are on JM.
I don't understand why people think they can't play at 80/120 etc. I have never noticed any effect on my game at all sitting on 200.
-
I don't think it matters, I thought all servers where at a central location and only the servers internal clock was different to set East, West, Exe?
Servers are physically located in their respective locations.
-
Do you have any idea how long it took them to do that? I was playing from Beta and I do. It was about this time of year IF NOT LATER that they had their transfer system up and good to go ...... but everyone wants to compare apples to oranges ... it just does not apply ..... and yeah I quit Rift AFTER the Free Server Transfers because I was burned out on their content waiting while they put all of their efforts into transfers ........ give it some time ... I am not being a fanboy ....just not being a *******.
Yes i was there too. I also quit after the transfers. I did say in my post that the transfers being a smoother and more inclusive process in RIFT did not make RIFT a better game. I also didn't mention any concerns about timeframe as neither games timeframe for starting transfers has bothered me.
-
RIFT obviously has better or more experienced coders for transfers as their system is exceptional (in my opinion anyway).
Of course, RIFT having a better transfer system is not enough to make it a better game (and the transfers were better since the transfers started not gradually improved)

I noted that Bioware have said that they are only transferring characters between the same types of servers (ie. RP-PvP to RP-PvP).
For Ajunta Pall this means there are no other servers to transfer to or receive transfers from as it is the only PST RP-PvP server.
Obviously indicating we are not included in the initial character transfers process.
So I would like to know if Bioware is still considering how to fit Ajunta Pall into the free character transfers system and therefore we just need to wait to hear what that might be OR are we excluded entirely until paid transfers are set up, assuming that paid transfers will allow players to move their characters to or from RP-PvP servers?
I also don't understand why you can't transfer characters between different server types. Considering I was able to copy a character from Ajunta Pall (RP-PvP) to the test server without complication and I am pretty sure the PTS is not RP-PvP.

Have a 50 sage and a 50 sent, working on vanguard now and after that I intend to do a scoundrel which will give me all 4 class buffs so I don't know what I'll do after that.
-
Yea, too bad it's a PvP server though.
PvP servers kinda don't exist in TOR.
On a normal MMO PvP server you are constantly running into enemy players (after initial lowbie areas).
In TOR you have to go right out of your way to find enemy players in the quest areas.
Leveling characters on a TOR PvP server was incredibly boring and barely any different from leveling on a PvE server (only just barely different because I did encounter an enemy player maybe once or twice whilst leveling).

Super servers, Mega servers. still means server merges.
BioWare said nothing about mergers in the quote that the 'Super Servers' rumor was extrapolated from. Speculation says maybe but the fact is that they only said that server population caps would be raised.
Developer Update: Introduction to Disciplines
in General Discussion
Posted
The way the article read to me makes it sound like you have to commit to a single discipline at a time, which has potential to suck for me because I primarily solo and take bits from every current tree to make that a smoother experience.
I hope I read it wrong or it gets clarified in a way that clears up my worry, or even that the new system takes into account a soloers need to be diverse to survive.
