Indeed. As we know there were a total of 750k players in the weekend beta, we can assume that at the end of the staggered invites on saturday, a total of around a million (or 2 million, I can't remember the exact number Bioware said about the total of invites sent out), had the opportunity to log in and play. As we found out later, there were 750k players in that beta, so we can safely deduce that over the course of 2 days, there was less players in game over the course of 2 days than there are people who pre-ordered for early access.

750k over the course of 2 days, then. By comparison, this staggered access is still much slower.

Considering they let in 750k people at once during the beta weekend and their servers didn't crash and burn, i'd say letting in around 20k for the first wave is pretty idiotic.

It seems not everyone who got in to early access were day 1 pre-orders.

People greatly underestimate when they will get in to early access. You will be in way sooner than that.

Why are people talking like just because they pre-ordered in August they'll only get in on the 15th, anyway? It's makes much more sense to assume that July - September pre-orders will get access 13 through to the 14th, and the rest 15th through to the 20th.
