  1. Then why is no one submitting a ticket? It's probably going to be lower on the list than any other game breaking bug that crops up, it's, as you say, a mild annoyance.

    [edit]

Now, after testing a few things myself, I am not experiencing this particular bug and wondering if people just aren't paying attention to their list. I pulled up companions, pets, vehicles and was able to place them right back down. So I am confused then why people are having such issues.

There does seem to be an issue with certain decorations not displaying in the list anymore. My Ashfall Tauntaun could not be picked up to move to another spot, and when I simply placed another deco where it was, i can no longer place it in another spot as it is not in the list. Same goes for many of my pets. I have submitted a ticket. It IS an issue and is not just forgetting which character has which items.

  2. I have been trying both out right now in my mid 30s. Pyro is definitely fun. Arsenal seems a little bit better on heat, and a tad more survivable due to the talent that gives you damage reduction from your tracer missles. It seems to be the more efficient build for leveling, don't know if I like it as much pyro personally.
  3. Shatter is a crappy skill.

It doesn't hit hard enough, costs too much Rage, and the bleed is trash. The burst is what you want in PvP.

It is far better to have a spec like this:

    Even more burst:

My Vicious slash crits hit for 2k as well.

Obliterate will consistently crit for 2.5 - 2.8k with my gear and costs 4 rage (1 is refunded).

Obliterate also allows you to jump to Snipers and will also root targets for another second. Good for chasing people.

If on the other hand Bioware takes my advice and turns Vengeance into the Jugg version of Annihilation (where your bleeds heal you) I might take another look at going full Vengeance.

I tried a hybrid similar to that before, though I missed out on anything in the immortal tree to get Dominate. It played well, though I felt like there were some points that just get wasted like increasing crit to vicious slash when I almost always had better things to use at any given time.

In fact, I went to that hybrid build because I felt the same way about Shatter. I have since went back to full veng, the cost of Shatter is never noticed as I always have plenty of rage. I'm still playing around with builds, might try a hybrid again since the free respec at 1.2 is when I switched back to full veng.

  4. Let's not make this another rage vs veng thread. That has been done to death and they both have their merits.

The dots look weak on paper, but they really are much better than they look and IMO should not be passed up. Pooled hatred is situational and I'm currently testing a build without, cant say which is better yet. I have seen some builds taking no points in sundering throw and to me, that seems silly. Just 1 point gets you a stack of sunder on another rage building ability which means you can shatter in one less GCD with throw>charge from range.

  5. If you want to get technical, lightsabers are plasma, not energy. Also there are numerous canonical instances of lightsabers leaving bleeding wounds: Ponda Baba's arm in ANH, the Wampa's arm in ESB, and the red mist blood spray when Obi-Wan cuts Maul in half in TPM.

There was blood, yes. But not to the point of "bleeding out".

  6. If you want to get technical, no lightsaber attacks would cause much bleeding since the arc in energy would cauterize the wounds.

On the original topic, Impale seems right. You jump up and bring your saber down in a stabbing motion, Shatter looks more like a twirling slash.

This is what I roll on my Veng jugg.

Sacrificed Decimate and DOTs for pooled hatred and unyielding.

Able to get free snares for sustained DPS.

Constantly within 1-3 in warzones averaging 10-13 medals

Points in Accuracy are a waste. They would be better spent elsewhere. And to not take the DOTs is a silly, they are a good boost in DPS.

This is what I am running now and enjoy it. Somebody posted it elsewhere so I tried dropping Pooled Hatred for free Chilling Screams. Works really well and doesn't sacrifice your DoTs or Deafening Defense. Keeping a point in Sundering Throw lets you throw before charging to slam a Shatter down 1 GCD sooner. And using a Ravage right after a charge is great, especially with Ravager over Decimate. I try to save Smash for stopping multiples from taking a node/planting a bomb and the damage isn't spectacular compared to a rage build IMO.

  8. That is underwhelming, ATLEAST (and I mean when I get targeted A LOT, thank god for force camo...) 400k every friggin time on my Marauder, most of the time it's 600-650k. With 100k~ healing done.

150k? Really? Even at low levels that sucks, I was sporting 300k medals at level 35-45 on my Marauder and Sniper every second match, with 421k at level 36 being a record.......

And that damage is without EFFIN AOE skill, single target only, suck on that noobrage warriors. "boo hoo I suck so much I need everyone around me to have 6k hp less after Smash hit to do anything remotely useful"...

    Respec real spec, noobsmashers...

Congrats on all that damage you do with a pure dps class. But damage done at the end of a match doesnt mean the class is better. I was doing 300k with a 20 pyro merc without even trying but it didnt win matches.

Juggs arent just damage dealers, Im usually top in protection with taunts/intercede and top two in objectives. Plenty of times Im giving up on dealing damage to push for an objective to actually win. The big damage done numbers just helps inflate your ego.

  9. Just browse the forums and check the sticky up top for alot of good info on this topic.

You are probably doing something wrong. Either it's in your gear or how you play. More specifics on your "rotation" (and I use the word rotation loosely for pvp) gear/mods, spec, playstyle etc. would also help others in helping you out.

Personally, I do just fine as vengeance spec. I'm almost full BM vindicator's with a few left over cent/champ pieces from pre 1.2. Juggs seem to be a bit more difficult to play than the other "tank" classes as we have a very short range in comparison, but once you get the hang of it they do quite well. And it's just a super fun class to play.

Just don't forget, WZs aren't about how much damage you do. It's about teamwork to win so use your aoe taunt's, intercede ball carriers, run interference in hutt ball with force push, choke and roar when you can. Honestly, of all the WZs, Huttball is the most challenging/fun IMO for juggs. It's alot less about the damage than the others and more about using your toolbox of skills more wisely.

  10. I found clipping issues when i wore the BM headgear with a hood up armor. The top of the helmet pokes through and ruins the amazeballs look.

    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/685/screenshot2012042123371.jpg/

The chest piece is a reward from the Heroic in the Black Hole, everything else is BM. It's the same model you get from Darth Malgus on story mode but with a much cooler color imo.

It must be body type 3 that has those clipping issues. My jugg is body type 2 and there are no issues with the battlemaster head gear clipping through my hood.

  11. so far the 2 cloak up chests I know of is the lvl 40 pvp chest, and the primeval paragon chest you can get from corellia. You pretty much cannot use any full helmets to have your cloak up, you need to wear a breather.

Battlemaster headgear shows with the hood up after the patch. I wear the lvl 40 jugg chest with battlemaster helm showing and the hood stays up. I assume it works the same with the corellia one. Besides that and the breathers, I dont know if any other head pieces work like that.

  12. Now let's be fair about this. This hasn't been some QQ post about how somebody can't kill another class in PvP, or that the class is broken.

It would just be nice to have a few more things to do between cool downs other than Slash/Vicious Slash and Sundering Strike/Sundering Assault between cool downs in the 20 to 30 level range.

Oh no, that was just a general statement about forums. I totally support a thread that has positive things to say about juggs.

Leveling, yes, juggs are late bloomers. I used retaliation alot while leveling if scream/ravage was on cooldown. Once we get impale things get more interesting (for veng anyway). I still enjoyed it alot, the class is just fun for me, charging at mobs and pounding away with my lightsaber, even if it was just with a few attacks early on.

And read Morsexy's sticky. I found a lot of good info there while leveling my jugg.

  13. The secret to enjoying your juggernaut is to not read these forums.

I second this notion! Honestly, every class forum has people crying about how underpowered they are. Take all the negative with a grain of salt. There are plenty of helpful threads, it just takes time to sift through the QQing and nerd rage that plagues gaming forums to get to the honest discussions.

  14. Against maras and sents I always save choke for guarded by the force/undying rage, choke + force push means they're out of it once they can do anything again

That is usually what I do. Of course sometimes if they just took somebody else down that blew all their cc, I have to deal with that ridiculous resolve system.

Juggs are the best at being kited and resource starved as a consequence in PVP. They are also the BEST at taking twice as much effort to accomplish anything compared to any other class except Guardian. Hope this helped.

Maybe immortal or rage has more resource issues, but as veng as I am usually swimming in rage. I'm almost never top in damage, but hit top two overall most games through medals and objectives, and usually top two in just protection through taunts and intercede (unless there is an overabundance of good tanks).

  15. I would have to disagree. I play veng spec and im only lvl 44, and i'll admit, veng spec jugg sucked at lower levels for me. But as of lately, i've really been enjoying the class. It takes some strategic planning to really have the upper hand, but i pump out fairly decent dps, and i use my taunts and protection abilities in pvp to aid my allies. There are classes that i have trouble against, but i usually enjoy the challenge of finding a way to eventually beat them. Overall, i would say i usually don't rank among the top people in overall damage at the end of wzs, but i usually am always top 3 for objective points and medals. So to answer your question, i would say yes, juggs are good. As veng, i get consistent dps, i have decent cc's, and i have the ability to protect my allies and rack up protection points too.

    This.

I have to say I have the worst time if a gunslinger/sniper catches me from far away. Can't charge so I have to throw first and walk up to him to push him out of cover. If I'm outgeared I'm done. Otherwise, mara/sents are tricky with their 99% damage reduction, but if I can survive past that I'm good. Everyone else comes down to gear for me.

  16. If maras are so great, then roll one.

I know nothing about tanking so I won't really comment on that. I do think it's a bit off that juggs don't really have outstanding defense cooldowns (and enraged defense is not even for tanks with it's threat dump mechanic). But maras are the fotm until they get nerfed, then the ones playing them because they like the class will stay, and the ones just wanting to pwn everything will move on.

I love my veng jugg no matter how "mediocre" they may be. Do juggs still need a few tweaks? Probably. Eventually juggs will be the new fotm for awhile and when they get too OP and get hit with the nerf bat, I will keep playing mine.

  17. Most tanks are late bloomers, not getting taunts right away. You can still tank, but at early levels like that it simply means a dps jugg can also tank the early flashpoints without much trouble since nobody is too deep in any given skill tree to make much of a difference.

As for pvp, immortal has different roles than veng or rage. There are a few threads going into detail about so just poke through the first few pages. Immortal is more control and surviving while attempting objectives.
