I am afraid I am not familiar with 'bubble', but ill look it up. Although I must say your post is confusing, lol. You first suggest sage, then say a melee could work, then suggest another DPS...so basically you suggested everything ^_^ I think, unless someone can find a really strong reason, I am going to rule out the shadow simply because I dislike the double saber. So either melee guardian or a ranged healing/dps sage. The advantage of sage is I am already level 6, haha...but nows the time to decide and choose. My worry with the melee guardian is that ive heard melee is somewhat gimped in pvp. Obviously, two people standing back and blasting the heck outta someone before they can get to us is useful. My worry with sage is that we'll both be super squishy and it will make leveling up more difficult and will make staying alive more difficult.

Well you lost me on the play on words, but thats okay (and not hard to do ;-) So ive narrowed it to either Shadow or Guardian. I think I am going to ditch the sage. It sounds like sage wouldn't be as good and, I think, overall id rather hack people to pieces than stand back throwing rocks at them. It sounds as though there is no right/wrong answer and no better/worse, just preference? I guess I am leaning toward guardian since id rather have a single saber. Stealth is great and all but does the gun slinger get stealth? Stealth seems pointless if just one of us has it. I guess I really just don't know enough about each classes style to pick. I am going to do more research but if you have any tips/advice to help me decide, please do tell :-)

I found an answer to my staff question. A shadow could use a single saber but would basically gimp himself since many abilities require the double. Why do you say 'whatever you do don't go commando' ?? It sounds like I would be happiest with a guardian build to go with his gun slinger. He could snare/slow and I could hack them to pieces. Or I could simply stick with my sage...though I feel if I pick sage I won't compliment him well since we will both be squishy.

Ok, I appreciate all of the responses though I am feeling a little overwealmed, lol. For the record, I think a single saber is waaaay cooler than a double staff. Screw darth maul wannabes....though I am not opposed to being a shadow. Can a shadow be good with a single blade or is it stupid to not go double? So it sounds like, for light side, we want one of these: Gun Slinger/Shadow - Sounds like several people think this is kick ***, high surviability Gun Slinger/Guardian - Sounds like this is similar to the above...slinger kites and I would bash (plus I could potentially use my single saber instead of double, hehe) Gun Slinger/Commando- Like the guardian, slinger kites and I uber kill. Sounds like Gun Slinger/Sage could work but its not as favored as the other modes. Am I accurate so far? So if I wanna stick with jedi I should be shadow or guardian....or I can just go commando. Hmmm Also, taunts...I never really played WoW, I come from more hardcore games like old school Ultima Online ;-P. I am not super familiar with taunt but I thought taunts were PVE only. Do they have a PVP use?

Originally he was going to be a Shadow but he's switched and seems fairly set. I was wanting a Jedi of some sort but really I can be happy playing anything. I thought Sage's were the 'healers'. Operative is empire...we are on the light side, so I guess thats out. Gun slinger and commando huh? I could scrap the jedi idea and go with commando. Thanks, I will look into this some. Gun slinger and shadow? My concern there is healing...do we not need healing capability?

A friend and I are just starting out in this game. We have chosen a PVP Light side (ive heard that the dark side has more people and id rather join the underdog). He has chosen a gun slinger. I was trying to decide between sage or guardian. Because I hate the level grind, I am worried about chosing a bad pair. Most data I find online is out dated and old. So my question... What classes make for a strong PVP pair? Would a gun slinger and a sage be decently strong as a combo? I was thinking if I slow/stun and he shoots it could be powerful...but as I implied, I know very little about this game. Would I be better off being someone who can take more hits instead of a sage? He is kinda set on gun slinger but I am open to all advice/suggestions. Thanks!
