  1. hehe, if its the same account, its no problem. I've moved 30 mill from one char to another without any issues. That would probably have gotten flagged if i had mailed it to another account
  2. With the new companion mechanics, you should get to level 60 quite easily. At level 60, you get access to 190 modifications, which i am still using (having gone through the entire story, new companions, etc.. and i am at the brink of starting the Star Fortress lines. So gear should not really be an issue That said, i want better gear, its just... hard to get when soloing (unless you have a metric ton of crystals, something you should absolutely have if you do the expansions in order).
  3. I have no idea, i've not tried it. Hopefully someone else can provide that answer
  4. I leveled a smuggler with the free slot we got, and before i left Coruscant (i was level 30'ish), i had rank 23 influence with Corso. Just through the regular quest conversations... never given him a gift, never held any personal conversations with him, and so on. While i really liked that, it also made me quite depressed on behalf of my other chars, hehe
  5. She is off in limbo along with all the others more or less. If Bioware's 1 chapter a month policy stays, and they have one companion as focus of each chapter (Kaliyo seems to be the chapter 10 focus), you'll see her in anywhere between 4 months and 3 years
  6. Yes it is, just like when they said "make crafting more streamlined and easier", then add components, (which adds complexity), and also remove recipes from the trade skill vendor. Dont try to overanalyze it, chances are you'll just hurt your head, hehe. EAware are special snowflakes, for them all this makes perfect sense
  7. Well, that was quite the essay. The sad part is that one cannot really refute anything of what you are saying
  8. Thats a.....silly statement. The already released 9 chapters gives an excellent indication of what the future chapters will look like (content wise, and length wise). If Bioware had intended the chapters to be significantly longer, we'd have gotten "the first 5" or something
  9. The story is fairly well written, if extremely linear. For the people saying "the choices may matter down the road", with Bioware's release schedule, are you keen on finding out in October of 2016 if something you did now has an actual effect ? If the chapters we got was an indication of what they'll release, we'll get... at best.. an hour of game play per month, maybe 2 if you are *really* taking your time. What bugs me more than the linear story, is the *extremely* linear level system they have adopted. This isn't just railroading, this is "funnel the hamster through the pipe maze" directionality. In short, i find it utterly unworthy of anyone even having the aspiration of calling themselves a game designer. You now get funneled down a narrow corridor.. 20 meters.. 3 mobs.... another 20 meters.. 3 mobs.. another 20 meters.. 3mobs.. to mix things up a bit, another 20 meters, lets insert a silver mob into the next group...and at the end, the "level boss".. this is juvenile game design we used to see on Commodore 64 platform games 30 years ago. Then again, this isn't really Bioware anymore, its EAware.. i doubt any "original" Bioware members are left working on this game (and if there are, then... erm.. i cant say that out loud....lol).. So in short.. extremely disappointed.
  10. A lot easier and more convenient, than pre 4.0. However, others have said that it is faster than 12x, and that is blatantly untrue. I'd have a 12x char to between level 55 and 60 with 12 or so hours played. I can barely make level 40 in 4.0 with the same time. So no, it is NOT faster. It is however much more convenient and generally easier since you never outlevel content. With the gigantic XP bonuses you get from heroics (and bounty hunter week when that was running), that was also something that really catapulted my Smuggler up in early levels (i think i was close to level 30 when leaving Coruscant, and had influence level 19 with Corso, that was only through the quest dialogue, no personal conversations or gifts).
  11. They said that they shut down the patcher and offlined the servers to fix the problem(s). This is likely the reason some got it and some didn't. All a matter of how quickly you logged on really
  12. Some people did download the patch (i did not receive it personally). Eric said that they "discovered an issue with the patcher" i think the term was.. which i hope is not a foreshadowing of glorious reinstalls for half of the community. As i said, all we can do is wait and see
  13. "Official" uptime (maintenance end time) should be in 4 minutes unless i am mistaken (we just switched to winter time here, so that might be off, still adjusting...lol)... but yeah, anyway, they are working on it. According to Eric, they know what the problem is, which is hopefully a good thing. Nothing we can do but wait
  14. Same issue. It didn't download anything here (there was supposed to be a patch today).. which is probably the reason. *Edit : ahh, thanx for the info guys
  15. As a somewhat related follow up to this, is anyone actually able to enter the game ? No patch downloaded for me, the play button lit up, but on entering the game, all servers registers as offline.
  16. Same here, no patch was downloaded. After a minute, the "play" button lights up, i enter the game, and all servers registers as offline (probably because of wrong patch version). Great start guys
  17. While companions are *very* strong at scaled down content (low level content anyway), they do seem to get weaker as we rise in levels. I did some bounty hunter missions on the capital planet.. so a level 55+ level synched to 18 was strong.. *very' strong. Then i did one of the SoR prelude instances, with a 58 level synched to 55. The companion was anything but immortal in there, even with the help of a godbot. I dont have early access, so i cannot judge KofTE, but to me, it does appear that companion strength "tapers off" at higher levels. Which is just like it has always been really.. starting a new character, you could literally strip Treek naked, and she'd be completely über for the first 20-25 levels at least.. just demolishing everything. Then it started to "normalize" the higher you got. To me, it appears that this is somewhat similar.
  18. From the Patch Notes Tokens will be available after the standard Cartel Market refresh and not with the release of the patch.
  19. They did say that they'd tweak / streamline the leveling experience, and im guessing this is it. Its not *that* out of of this world.. at least not on higher levels (cannot say about lower levels, i dont have a character below level 55). Doing the bounty hunting missions for a week, i'd get a character from level 55 to level 56, barely. With an experience booster running. Doing them today, i got about a third of a level in one day, without an experience booster. So it looks like it gives 2 to 3 times as much XP as it used to. If Bioware scaling is working per its usual standards, i imagine you would get an absolute "#¤%#"%¤ ton of XP at lower levels, yes
  20. uuuh, i dont think you are supposed to defeat a WORLD boss solo
  21. Log in and find out Seeing that everything else is "put on hold", i am guessing that SoR also wont be released until the 27th. But i dont know for sure, i bought it a month ago or so (waste of money, go me...lol).
  22. *any* Bronze item (or armor set in this case), *any* silver set, and so on. Just to look at your collection to see what is what
  23. Well, its not 12x anymore, but Bioware has redone (streamlined i believe the word is) the leveling experience. I saw level 65's running around on fleet scant hours after the expansion went live, so to get to max level is neither going to be difficult nor timeconsuming.
