  1. I'm not holding anyone hostage.

I made a statement. Your response was equivalent to "lol, math error" ... I asked you what the error was, and you have repeatedly refused to answer the question.

I'll reiterate, and make everything as clear as I can.

In queue A: 4 groups form every hour; the average group formation wait time is 15 minutes.

In queue B: 3 groups form every hour; the average group formation wait time is 20 minutes.

In queue C: 2 groups form every hour; the average group formation wait time is 30 minutes.

In queue D: 9 groups form every hour; the average group formation wait time is 6 minutes, 40 seconds.

    Scenario 1: Single server queues

    • server A (queue A): wait time = 15 minutes
    • server B (queue B): wait time = 20 minutes
    • server C (queue C): wait time = 30 minutes

overall average wait time = 20 minutes.

    Scenario 2: cross server queues

one cross server queue (queue D). Wait time = 6:40

Individual wait times are directly proportional to the group formation wait times.

feel free to actually pick it apart. But bear in mind that "lol math error" doesn't actually constitute picking it apart.

Why do you keep spamming this? Its already been proven wrong.

  2. And 2 dps.

no, noone takes anything from anyone.

X people enter the queue. Y groups leave.

That's your problem: there's no such thing as a "wait time per server", because there isn't a server queue. There's only a wait time per group, or a wait time per person.

The average wait time in queue A is 15 minutes; 4 groups form every hour

The average wait time in queue B is 20 minutes; 3 groups form every hour

The average wait time in queue C is 30 minutes; 3 groups form every hour

The average wait time in queue D is 6:40 minutes; 9 groups form every hour

the per person wait time is directly proportional to the group wait time.

The average wait time, per group on server A with a single server queue is 15 minutes

The average wait time, per group on server B with a single server queue is 20 minutes

The average wait time, per group on server C with a single server queue is 30 minutes

The average wait time per group, for the combine server queue, is ~6:40.

    two cases

First case: 3 servers, single server lfg tool

server A: average wait time is ~15 minutes; so it forms a group every 15 minutes, on average, or 4 groups of people every hour.

server B: average wait time is ~20 minutes; so it forms a group every 20 minutes, on average, or 3 groups of people every hour.

server C: average wait time is ~30 minutes; so it forms a group every 30 minutes, on average, or 2 groups of people every hour.

Average wait time across servers = 20 minutes.

best average wait time across server= 15 minutes.

second case: 3 servers, cross server lfg tool.

    Same people queuing

9 groups of people form every hour.

average wait time across servers = 6.7 minutes (also the best case)

Oh you can feel free to form an opinion. Just don't expect anyone to agree that your opinion is fact, when it's not.

  3. I'm not looking to start trouble or anything and I know everyone likes medals and some go to great lengths to get them. With the shockwater being nerfed today and the amount of QQing about lack of medals for X class, i ask this question.

If you had to choose between 4 medals and a win or 10 medals and a loss which would you choose?

I'm curious to know because reading these forums it seems thats all people care about. Success to me is based on wins not stats so i would pick a win over a hefty amount of medals any day. I understand its quite possible to achieve a high amount of medals and get a win but this is a hypothetical situation.

10 medals and a loss because you still get rewarded for losing. And you can go to Ilum and swap kills.

  4. Speculation at best.

Besides, as I recall, they did one before the tool was announced, and it created quite an uproar at the time.

    Speculation at best.

Besiades, as I recall everyone said when they planned on doing this that they would nerf the content like WoW did. But of course you choose to not see it.

Just like we are saying now but being that 2 previous games did exactly that there is no basis to form the same opinion.

Ignorance is bliss in your case.

ah. I initially skipped reading that because the formatting was so messed up.

You're not correct about the amount of improvement it makes. Just increasing the number of people hitting the queue significantly improves queue time.

Average wait time across servers = 20 minutes.

best average wait time across server= 15 minutes.

    (15+20+30)/3=20???

  6. Not gonna bother looking up the post, but I am sure you can, but when they originally posted that they were adding a LFG tool in the upcoming patch, they said they weren't considering X-Server with it's implementation. Less than 3 weeks later they said in a interview it was something they are seriously exploring. I'm sure you can find them if you look.

Just what I thought, they didn't say it.

Its just you reading more into it then what was said.
