When they are camping your spawn point the only way to escape is wait for a PvP queue which won't pop because all the Imperials are in Ilum. Even then you'd better hope your emergency fleet pass is available.

See the thing is, the mantra of that blog is be patient they will eventually fix the bugs so be patient. A lot of people, myself included would rather not pay the subscription until the game is fixed. I admit I've had fun but there are some frustrations that just negate any of the enjoyment I have had. Mainly it's because of a severe lack of endgame. I'm currently mid 50's valor wise, done the majority of content with the exceptions of Nightmare mode raids and Hard Mode raids due to lack of Republic numbers and just finding myself sitting in Carrick Station looking for something to do. I especially find myself burnt out of PvP due to the number of bugs, ability lag and general frustrations of playing Republic. The LFG tool is insufficient at the moment and I'd rather do other things with my time til a lot of things are smoothed out. In short, if people aren't happy with their experience, they'll cancel.

To be fair you can't punish a player for having more free time on their hands. Hell at that point you may as well ban people who have gotten all the datacrons.

This. Mostly due to the fact there's not really much endgame other than pvp so when you ding 50. Your options are limited.

Firstly, you're Imperial you have more 50's to help in PvP, secondly 50's only bracket is being implemented on Tuesday and finally if you enjoy PvP, it should be your own decision whether you continue or not. This isn't really the forum for rhetorical questions.

You can be terrible no matter what the level. It's actually whoever has the most communication wins.

I love my PvP and my PvE. Even in WoW I pvped a lot in the 2600 range the last few years (forever BG9 Duelist) but the thing is with this game, playing as Republic without PvP, I would have quit. I'm a relatively sociable person yet for the last 12 days I have been fervently trying to get into Hard Modes and raids. I came over from WoW with my (very) long term guild but they haven't levelled quite as fast as me so PvP has been the only real content. Sure I've pugged Eternity Vault and Bonecrusher these last couple of weeks and done extremely well but I have been unable to pug an even semi successful hard mode. Even trying through Republic Fleet chat, the social panel and with various people I've met through PvP/Ops, there still isn't the player base Republic side to actually run Flashpoints with any ease which sounds wierd bearing in mind I pugged the raids but it's true. This is even on Space Slug, one of the highest pop US realms. TL;DR - PvP is the only real thing to do on SWTOR and even then it's a frustrating experience a lot of the time. Thankfully, I'm relatively patient.
