  1. You don't have to move around to avoid the inactivity. Turning the camera will do the same.
  2. So, twice I've gone to Makeb and this planet (or moon) is what I'm heading for instead of the blue/green planet of Makeb. Anyone else seen this and/or have a clue? It certainly doesn't look like Oricon. Thanks, in advance.
  3. I actually love the change! I solo about 99% of the time and so I find that sometimes it's a nice trick to have. Before the change, I just about never used it, because that would mean I'd also break the stun I had on the gold elite. It's not a problem pushing a full group of mobs either. Two steps back and I'm still able to get them off of me.
  4. Great! It's nice when a few forumers can fix a problem with a snap of their fingers
  5. I'm guessing you're a warrior and this happened after completing the class quest, no? Sometimes when your class quest involves your companion, he/she's dismissed after and the companion icon for summoning might disappear from your screen Anyway, if I'm wrong the solution would probably be the same; Hit N and he should be there.
  6. With all the ewok hate (on par with the Jar Jar hate if you believe the general chat) my family desided back in february it would be funny to create a republic guild called <Ewok Adoption Center>. Guess the joke's on us now
  7. ... that I don't EVER have to hear the "did I mention I'm a pascifist?" OMG, that's been driving me mad! Oh, and the fact that I'm not tired of all her banter and fun animations, makes it even better
  8. Sounds to me like you've thought it out, so I would just like to mention a small detail. Don't forget to include their character's name in the message. I know you would probably do it anyway, just saying Twice I've had people mailing me items that I'm sure wasn't meant for me. Even with one of them having a message in it, I don't think it was me they thanked for helping since I hadn't been playing that faction for weeks. I returned the items with a message asking if they had the wrong person. No reply. I'm guessing it was. I can't imagine credit sellers including a nice personal message, so I'm pretty sure it's not gonna look that way. Overall, I think an appreciative mail from a fellow player, even without a large chunk of credits, would be a welcome surprise to a lot of good players. Good luck on your secret mission!
  9. I feel a lot like you. Although I would love to get HK as a companion. I'm part of a tiny family guild and we're so casual I can't see us complete HM flashpoints this side of the millenium. And so I've come to accept that I will have to do without. I never raid or join a PUG from the fleet. It's not that I couldn't enjoy it - it's just that I've met too many players in a rush to complete the FPs. It feels more like a chore than a fun new experience. I'll never complain about it or ask for the same rewards end game players get. I don't feel left out, but I sometimes wish I could find more like minded people - not afraid to fail on a boss, able to laugh about their own mistakes, i.e firing off the wrong ability and causing utter chaos, taking one step too many to the left and fall off a ledge or stunning a gold elite and then realizing you never changed your target before attacking. I think my point is, as much as I don't mind not experiencing everything in game, I could have enjoyed an ever bigger part of it if I had met more not-so-serious gamers. I don't care for certain items in game - heck, I'd be thrilled to be completing Xeno and just give the mount to somebody else.
  10. You can classify the game anyway you like. It doesn't change the fact that story is a big part of it for lots of players. Story, and romance ..I think I recall Bioware mentioning it once or twice as an important part of the gaming experience. I could be wrong ..
  11. The main stats for both you and your companions will be the two with highest value when you first start playing. Same goes for your companions when you first get them; look for their stats to the left in the character window and check which stat, along with endurance, is the highest.
  12. No, the limit is 100. You are supposed to spend them on gear or mods for your orange (moddable) armor and weapons. Go to the fleet and hit M. Look for the Supplies area. Tick off showing vendors on your map and you'll see all the comm vendors locations in that area. You'll find lots of advice here; http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=638991
  13. But you didn't complete "stuff" on Taris. You've got your class quest to finish. And instead of giving us your opinion on why you should be able to kill the Locost, why not go do that first? Again, the design is for you to do your class quests when on the appropriate level. Why are you skipping such an important part of the planet (and your character's story)? Why should the game change just because you forgot/ignored the class quests? I've seen people telling you to do that, and you've yet to reply to either of them about it. Can't you just admit you might have been slightly mistaken yourself? I'm betting a healer companion would do a world of difference! Meanwhile, I'm gonna go lift that stone in my back yard that takes 4 to lift.
  14. It's from a reputation vendor on the fleet. It's originally light blue/red(ish), but I dyed it with a brown/light brown. Totally changed the look! Here's the original. Lovely, eh? Btw, I love the deep red on your armor! Very nice!
  15. Here are my three new additions to this inspiring thread. I've been having so much fun with my smuggler (gunslinger), I recently rerolled a scoundrel! Here's my latest gunslinger outfit: http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/smuggler_zpse4cb04e0.jpg My baby scoundrel reached Tatooine just a couple of days ago. Here she is, disagreeing with some of the local wildlife: http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/smuggler2_zps7b06858c.jpg My all time favorite class (story) has got to be the IA and so I couldn't resist enjoying it again: http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/sniper_zpsa982c5e7.jpg Hope you like
  16. My new warrior looking just about as menacing as I was hoping for! When the servers are back up, she's gonna get her new outfit as well. A mix of Malak's and relaxed jumpsuit - just can't deside which color(s) to go for. http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/mykitty_zps0787886b.jpg
  17. Since I can't log in and get a full size screenie, here's a pic from character select. I made a new warrior and I think she looks just about evil enough not to be overly cute http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/mykitty_zps0787886b.jpg
  18. Thank you! She's my oldest rattataki and I'm very happy with her looks myself
  19. I was gonna say Bao Dur, hands down .. then someone said G0-T0 and I remembered that inquisitive little droid Bao Dur had with him, Remote. So now .. I can't pick a winner! If I absolutely must pick one of the three .. well, ok .. Remote.
  20. So, let me get this straight. You don't enjoy them anymore because of change in credit gain? Why not just enjoy space for space if you used to do so?
  21. Yes, it stays the same. I bought the set and sent it to one of my rep chars. Only thing ... I hadn't figured my companion would run around flashing the imp sign on his shoulders!
  22. Granted, this was a question about character deletion. And you're not planning on deleting, only changing species. But it's pretty clear that once you unlock a species, it's yours forever on that server.
  23. This thread has got a lot of very good pics! It's good to see so many of us enjoying the scenery and our character's looks. Here's some of my characters. It's more of a mood setting than really showing off, but still -------------------------------------------------------------- First, I just love her innocent look. She's completely DS, but no one can tell! http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/swtorfemales7_zpsa9c183cb.png Then there's this maniac! Hilarious! http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/swtorfemales6_zps8edccb03.png Everyone remember the no-emotes-on-the-balloon-unless-you-wanna-fall-off-rule? These are moments just seconds before I learned about that! http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/swtorfemales3_zpscd6cd2aa.png http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/swtorfemales2_zps439ef837.png Again, another evil female. Doesn't she look sad? http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/swtorfemales_zpsd63c88ac.png (the only pic I photoshopped a bit. Added a layer of film grain) My latest creation. An all white shadow tank. http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/swtorfemales8_zps7c36dfe0.jpg I like looking at my characters through the star map in my cockpit. This nasty Sith Warrior almost looks pretty this way! http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/swtorfemales5_zps6baed630.jpg Theese colors just asked for a screenie. http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u324/solrik/swtor/swtorfemales4_zps509ef463.jpg
  24. Dulfy's got a short video that should help you complete it. Good luck!
  25. Exactly! I bought two packs and got one. Now I'm waiting for the timer to expire so I can send it to my rattataki shadow in her handmaiden outfit. I can't wait!
