Don't think they gave a date to plan an open them up, instead they said they wanted the experience rated from level 1. Bypassing the class stories by launching KOTFE/KOTET and getting 1 pt DS/LS quickly through diplomacy currently still locks you out from switching to your second combat style even after you select it from the prompt. SteveTheCynic Posted December 11, 2021 Share Posted December 11, 2021 Pity because doing testing for them should come with something so it's not a waste of time It comes with the opportunity to see what the new mechanics will look like ahead of time, give feedback on those new mechanics (even if it often seems like they don't listen to that feedback), and sometimes they even give us the chance to earn Live-game titles for testing on PTS. But given that they *also* often give out vast quantities of credits and gear just for pushing buttons, and instant-promote-to-max buttons as well, it's fairly logical to not allow PTS-to-Live transfers. Interesting aside: When GW2 offers pre-release testing and previews of new mechanics (elite specialisations(1), gliding, mounts, etc.), they do it on the live servers using special "beta character" slots. Those slots are used for testing the new features, and get wiped at the end of each test phase. That wouldn't work well on SWTOR because of the power-creep aspects of new expansions.
