Non-OPS players lose Stat customization?? Gear pieces only have 1 stat per type?

So based on the datamines there's many different sets coming from different types of content. (Outside of OPS moddable gear since as usual OPS players gotta be treated special)

 

For example all boots from the rest of the content seem to have accuracy whenever a person likes that or not, with pvp ones being the only ones that dont have accuracy for obvious reasons.

 

Why exactly is stat customization removed for the majority of the playerbase? (Ignoring augments)

That is something most people like about RPGs, the power to build the character the way they want and create silly builds.

 

Why are we seeing that part removed? I assume it isnt hard to just make more pieces of gear per slot to have different tertiaries, so what is the issue?

People stacking one tertiary too much to the point its wasted because of how big the DR is?

 

That could easily be fixed by color coding tertiaries to change color, start with green and the higher the DR, the redder it becomes so people dont need to find stat calculation forms to figure that out and should have been something explained by the game.

 

Not only that, stat customization, even when limited due to heavy DRs still allows for some control or even the illusion of choice which are always better than forcing people to use what someone else says is best, in this time the devs by not allowing people to choose what stats a piece they ll upgrade will have.
