bitFather Posted December 21, 2020 Share Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one who noticed that Malgus's Reborn armor is HIGHLY downgraded, let me explain and show a few pictures what I mean. Here's Malgus, wearing his own Reborn armor: Picture 1: https://ibb.co/PTvXYYT Picture 2: https://ibb.co/jfjyjZm Looks pretty dope, many of us love it. So you're eager to get it... You buy it, and this is what you get. I put it on Scourge so i can show it off the exact same way i showed it on Malgus. Picture 1: https://ibb.co/2yGNDhT Picture 2: https://ibb.co/jw4Z97N I'm running the game on max, everything is turned up. And comparing the two... the 1 we get to wear is just massively downgraded. The texture's overall quality is just reduced for whatever reason, the lights you can see while Malgus is wearing it are mostly missing. (No, i'm not talking about the arm part because that's a completely different part, although i'm sure many of us would appreciate another chestpiece with this type of arm, not the covered one we currently have, like at the helmet we get to choose between 2, im talking about the chest, belt, and gauntlet parts) Sometimes it even looks like it's a different material because of that downgrade? Not sure. The only part, that's pretty much the same, is the rebreather but even that's downscaled sadly, at least that has the red lights though. Of course, some people like me bought it regardless, but i'm just kinda sad that, the normal version is in the game since Malgus himself is wearing it, but the armor we can buy, the armor we get to use and wear, is just a lot worse quality. Any hope we can get the nicer variant sometime? Or does anybody know what happened why this is this armor the way it is? Hopefully gonna get some answers. Cheers! Seeing Malgus in his very sleek and proportional armor and the detail is incredible. Then you look at what we got with the Cartel market set and it cannot hold a candle to it. And the Leg plates that make your quads look huge. It is disproportional and after I made the unfortunate decision to buy it. However body type does not explain why Malgus's set he wears is cleaner looking, more sleek and with a matte black look. Just compare the textures of both and the difference is obvious. You are correct. Body type absolutely does not explain the disproportionally wide legs because they are huge on all body types. Despite the "thunder thigh" legs the absolute worst part about this set to me is the "damage" scuff marks all over it that never dye out. It makes the set look terrible with almost every dye but a medium gray which is a shame. Not to mention the clipping issues with the cape in cutscenes which make it turn into a bib. I know the devs are opposed to changing CM sets after release since there is always ONE person who "like it the way it was" it seems but I can't imagine anyone being opposed to fixing these three problems.
