Ramalina
Correction, GSF is very, VERY not novice friendly. The GSF players, especially the old timers though, generally are. If you want advice, training, or just to group with some people who know what they're doing to fly a few matches as a team, just ask and you should get a positive response. Get a free voice chat client, there's a whole GSF dedicated Discord for example, and hop in with an old salt. Mentorship makes the learning curve so much easier, and over voice comms people can teach fast enough so that it's not uncommon to see significant improvement over just a game or two. Experienced players basically are the GSF tutorial, or at least the tutorial that's worthwhile. People in PUGs have liked to hate <Shadowlands Reconnaissance Wing> a.k.a. SRW for years, but the reason is that SRW is really great at taking novice pilots and turning them into very deadly GSF pilots. Drakkolich is also a consistently nice and helpful person if you want a hand at getting better. That's hardly an exhaustive list of GSF teachers, but ask around a while and it's almost certain that someone will find the time to help you out.
