Pietrastor
The list of monitors, computers, tables & machines with holograms and displays being turn off by default is growing. Why??? Tthis is the opposite of logical, looks ugly and is decieving when purchasing the decorations (because the "on" looks are previewed and advertised, not the "off" looks) and no one wants to turn them all on every. single. time. when going to a stronghold. People buy these decorations in big part due to holograms/displays included just to find out the effect is basically not really there because it requires activation every. single. time... Reverse it please and don't release more decorations like this turned off by default again. Same as we wanted Bounty Holding Cells to be turned ON be default 'cause that's how they should be displayed most times, only turned off occasionally. Here's a list of decorations that are incexplicably turned off by default to fix: - Hunter's Planning Table - Jedi Small Council Table - Bounty Monitor - Zakuul Megaterminal - Eternal Flagship Command Console - Rakata Console - Zakuul Turret Command - Imperial Command Console - Republic Starfighter Display - Imperial Starfighter Display Add more if I forgot any. Xina_LA
I personally don't like the idea of having them all turned On by default. They would no longer be interactive decorations -- there would be virtually no reason to interact with them. Who would ever bother to turn them Off? I would rather see the whole Interactives On/Off and hologram system revamped. * Allow people to set whether Companions appear as holograms always, never, or the way they do now. * Add an On or Off by Default switch to interactive decorations, not just holograms but also Ambient Machines. * Add interactive features to decorations that are very loud, like the Iokath Superweapon Prototype, so that they are activated by click. It would be fine if this was a master switch for the entire stronghold, since it would probably be very complicated to add this option for every single decoration. Who would ever bother to turn them Off?So they should be kept Off by default just sustain some bizzare notion of interactivity being done wrong somehow being better than the decorations being what they're actually supposued to be - displays, monitors, computers etc? Or that someone can be happy there's more interactive decorations even though it's distruptive and counter-productive kind of interactivity? These are suppoused to BE computers, monitors and displays primarly so logically they should be turn ON by default. Otherwise, we're mostly buying blank and bland decorations. A Bounty Monitor that displays nothing, try turning that on every time on one of the Wall hooks. A command console that's not commanding anything 99% of the time because you ahve to turn it on every. single time. Zakuul Megaterminal that looks like it's broken placed next to always-on Zakuul Consoles A & B. Etc. Etc. Who cares about the notion of interactivity when it messes up what these decorations ARE suppoused to be Edited August 1, 2017 by Pietrastor
