Computer Setup

Hi People

 

I was looking for some guidelines on recommended components for my computer to make this game run as smoothly as possible on the highest graphical settings.

 

I was wondering if I could have any advice or recommendations, maybe your own computer set up. I have bought this game and I really like it, and I want to be able to play it to its maximum potential.

As beautiful as this game (And it is), one of the great things about ToR is it's compatibility with computer components(minus OSX support?).

 

 

If you are looking at running the game at maximum settings, you shouldn't have to spend more than 700 dollars; probably not even that -- but a little extra power never hurt anyone

 

My current rig is running the following hardware (Built new in 2009):

 

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition -- Stock 3.1ghz (Quad Core)

Memory: 4gb DDR2800 (PC2-6400)

Video Card: AMD Radeon 4870 1GB GDDR5 Video card

Optical: Asus DvD Burner (24x || 52x CD-RW)

Hard Drive: 320gb Western Digital Black 3.0gb/s SATA + 1TB External Drive

 

Monitor: x2 24 Inch Acer LCD Monitors @ 1920x1080

 

At max settings, I get a steady 50-60fps. When I stream, I get about 30-45fps (switching to medium settings gets me back up to 60fps)
