Interesting side quests worth doing?

Hey all,

 

Some side quests are in TOR are very interesting, others are the exact opposite. What are some good side quests you have completed and you think are worth a look? They can be planetary or regular.

I think the two in Imperial Sobrik on Balmorra are fun, albeit short. One starts with a guy near the stairs down from the spaceport, and one is given by a guy near the taxi. I like Balmorra in general.

I like the Korriban Ones,Dromund Kaas,Belsavis,Voss and Corellia for me have decent quests.

Yeah Balmorra has nice ones .

 

To name a few : You find this military guy who ask you to escort his wife (and then ask you to kill her lover who is repb so it doesn't splash on him . The fun part , is you can let the wife go , the repb guy go or kill him . Then some guy will bribe you to rat on him lol which I do everytime . )

 

There is one about a field poisoning . And I think some military guys you can confront .

 

There is one about (near the stairs) , a native guy who wanna rat his friend . And you can go to the bureau next door and get some LS or DS points for it .

 

The 2 droids are so cute but this is a heroic +2 .

 

Btw this is IMP Side lol

 

Hum...on Taris . I like doing that story quest with Thana . Make whole place fun to do . Just wish you could get her to kill Lord Gravel lol .

 

There is also a heroic +2 with Jedi and relic .

 

On Repb side Nar shaddaa I like to do that ''Kill mini-boss'' on the red sector .

 

You also get to save Evocii .

 

Tattoine both Side has that ''What Zerka Left'' . I like it more on Imp side .

 

On corellia , Repb side (Or was it Imp ?) . There is this officer arguing with a doctor about the Zoo . And you can side with the Doc , and inject Nexu I think and send them against Imp .

 

Tattoine , finding a Jawa force User .

 

if you never done them , then do them at least once .

Pub side there are two side (not even Exploration) missions with the same starter NPC, but on different planets.(1) I think this is the only example of such an NPC in the whole game.

 

His name is Fez Burba (but he doesn't wear a fez), and you'll meet him on Coruscant near the entrance to the Works, and on Tatooine, somewhere that I don't remember where it was.

 

(1) He might have been removed from Tatooine, along with a bunch of other things, in the Cot Fee Revolution of October 2015.

If you played KotOR, there are few related quests, namely Chasing History on Taris (rep) and then the one with holostatues on Corellia (rep).

He is still there but the regular exploration quests don't direct you to that post, you have to do the bonus series to get directed to that outpost.

One side quest I always do on every character is on Voss. Namely the quest to do the Trials at the Shrine of healing. Its an interesting mission that ends with a vision presaging your characters end game.

That's not a side quest. That's the Planetary Arc. But yeah, I do that one as well.

 

For those who aren't sure, here's a quick (and incomplete) rundown on mission-givers and their markers:

* Class Story: there are no mission-givers for these missions, but intermediate and final goals are marked with purple symbols.

* Planetary Arc stories: The mission-givers and goals for these are marked with purple triangles and/or swirly things.

* Exploration missions: These are hidden by default, but when you turn on the option in the top-right corner of the world map panel, they appear as yellow triangles with a little four-point star by them. Or as yellow swirlies for intermediate area goals.

* Side missions: These are visible by default, marked by plain yellow triangles.

* Repeatable missions (Story Flashpoints): These are marked like the Planetary Arc mission-givers.

* Repeatable missions (Other Flashpoints): These are marked like the Side missions.

* Repeatable missions (Heroics): Yellow triangle with arrows, a bit like a Recycling symbol.

* PvP mission terminals: Red triangle with complicated twiddlies around it.

Regardless of if I'm doing a completionist run or a class quests 'n go run, I always make a point of doing the Revanite chain on Dromond Kaas and the Gree droids repair quests on Coruscant. They both grant a title upon completion.

 

Other quest chains I fond of are the Revan's Vault one on Nar Shadda (I think) because it does have some interesting backstory with a possible lead up to later on content, and while it's a planetary arc, Tatooine's arc with Czerka on Republic side since it's kinda of a lead up to the later Czerka stuff and I just can't resist a quest chain with proper

zombies.

 

 

edit: There's an Imperial version that I completely forgot about because I've done too many speed runs. I am so embarrassed...
