Andryah Posted December 23, 2016 Share Posted December 23, 2016 (edited) Yes.. you could purchase them with crystals in 4.0. Crystals were removed from the game in 5.0. If they just let you buy crates with credits... it would largely destroy the benefit/motive of earning them, as you also had to actually earn the crystals to buy them in 4.0. You could not just buy unlimited quantities any time you liked. With the vendor being credit based in 5.0.... you would have unlimited buying ability... AND I'm sure people would be complaining about the prices for them as well (since people want things for essentially free). Note: from 60-65.... you get double crates from heroics now. That would indeed make running heroics THE ONLY thing players would be doing. I have almost 300 crates in cargo storage... so I would love it.. but it's not going to happen.
