Tsetso Posted December 12, 2016 Share Posted December 12, 2016 FACT #1 On the Harb rollback thread 20 posters made up almost 200 of 300 (at the time post) any time there is a "BIG ISSUE" these same 20 or so do this on every "BIG THREAD" there are not a lot of people who post on here it's not hard to spot them. The MAJORITY of players in ALL MMOS including swtor never go to the forums. If you want more facts just ask. Dear god, have mercy and make sure than this person never gets a place in a grand jury. First, we can just figure out the expected number of crates you need to open conditional on all of the crates containing purple items. Assuming that each purple item drops with an even chance (1/14), then it will take 2+13/6+12/5+11/4+10/3+9/2=17.15 crates to get a full set. So, let's assume that you get a purple item from a crate 1/6 times, that means that on average, you'll need about 102.9 crates to get a full set bonus. If we assume that purples drop 1/10 times...you'll need 170 crates to get a full set bonus. As far the probability of not getting a full set in 100 crates...if a purple item drops 1/6 times from a crate, then it's roughly 50%. If a purple drops 1/10 times from a crate...it's roughly 100%.
