Cy_Cristi Posted December 1, 2016 Share Posted December 1, 2016 (edited) I finished downloading 5.0 yesterday, was able to log in and have a grand old time. Today, when trying to get in game, it loads the server selection screen and asks me to select the one I want to get on. Logically, I selected the server with my characters. After spinning several seconds, I'm informed that the servers are down and cannot be accessed. Ironically, when I check the forums, they are accessible and the status of my server isn't that busy. After some exploring, I found out that there was a minor patch earlier today to fix a potential exploit. Fine and all. However when I access the game my launcher goes directly from Initialization to allowing me to click the play button. I'm assuming the issue is that the version of the game on my machine does not match the version on the server, yet the launcher is not indicating that there is an update. In addition, when I do get to the server selection screen, I can click on support, but then the window just sits there (I waited about 15 minutes before closing out) unable to interact in order to submit a ticket. As an early access subscriber I'm finding the situation to be........ extremely frustrating. It would be much appreciated if I were to be able to access the game again. Thank you for your time. Edit: Ok, so after some sleep and some more time to consider the problem, I decided to test the installation on my laptop and was able to access the game without issue. I attempted again on my desktop with the same results as described above. It wasn't making sense that my laptop, a slower, less powerful, and significantly less graphically capable machine was able to access the game fine while my desktop was not. Just to see what would happen, I completely shut down my desktop and booted it back up. Logging into the game, I was able to access my characters without incident. So, situation solved, crisis over, etc., etc. However, I am still curious as to why this might have happened to a machine that had been in hibernation mode and without internet access at the time the patch happened. I'm not expecting an answer, but it maybe worth looking into at some point. Thank you for your time.
