Game Crashes to desktop while loading to a area.

It started this morning when I was going to the Imperial Fleet where my game randomly crashed to desktop. Since then I have not been able to play the game once and I have tried a lot of solutions, I got rid of Bitraider and re installed the game. I did the ST thing with the launcher, I ran as administrator and I did a lot of other things. Now I am looking for some help. Edited November 12, 2016 by ToastedKellog

If you have ST on the launcher then you have bitraider , but both options to repair are below initially

Non-Streaming launcher - Log into the launcher but don't click Play. Check for small letters "ST" in the bottom left corner. If this is NOT present, With the new launcher after login , select the username pulldown on the top right and select settings, then press repair.

Streaming launcher - If the letters "ST" is present, close the launcher, right mouse click on the game shortcut,

select open file location and delete the BitRaider folder. Then start the launcher

That didn't work, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game again to the point where I can play the starting planets and once again still didn't work. This had to happen right after I bought a subscription. Honestly if anyone can just hop onto TeamViewer and fix it for me since im tired of this i'll just give you all of my credits. Not much but. There is an issue that I have seen that creates a C12 error which occurs on loading into new planets, is there an error popup being thrown saying C12 ?

If you are only at the starting planets you wont be able to do much more until the game is downloaded.

What is your OS and is it 32 or 64bit ?

With the game closed go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor

and delete just the file called diskcachearena this is the games cache file , unless you deleted all the folders it may still be the original file from before the re-install

If this OS is 32 bit swap to non streaming per this link

Just to be clear are you loading into the game after pressing play ?

Try deleting the cache file as well

I load into the game, Pick a character and as they are loading into the world the bar stops and then it black screens and crashes

I would definitely delete that cache file called diskcachearena and see if it persists if this file is glitched it wont be repaired by a game repair

Well I deleted the file and it made the game all pink. I hate to keep you up but if you got on teamviewer and did this it would be great since I really don't know what else could be the problem and you probably can fix it quicker.

Can you post the dxdiag per my previous post , want to see the setup and drivers

Black screen can also be a video driver or video setting issue, given you are getting to the character screen it maybe driver related

Need to look at the dxdiag before proceeding
